    I can dig it, I would wholeheartedly get this bike as my first bike. I’m 6’4 and 41 years old. I think I wouldn’t want another bike after this one.

      This is a good bike to have in the stable for most scenarios around town, in the backroads, and on highways. You might be a tad cramped with your height, so make sure to sit on one to make sure you can live with the seating position before pulling the trigger. Thanks for watching. Ride safe!

    I’ve push my r7 to about 120-135mph and it’s fast enough to get me killed .
    After a flash tune , DNA air filter and a Dino tune I get the 74hp that they advertise. It works for me! 👍

      After taxes and fees, you're looking at more than 10,000 dollars. Then, once you get it, you have to spend 500-1500 dollars on a real full system exhaust, and then a new air filter, and then a dyno tune.
      Now you're out about what 11,500-13,000 dollars and only got 74 hp.
      I don't care if "it goes 130mph". That is pathetic. I get 130 out of a ninja 400 and mine was 7,000 out the door.
      The zx4rr is 200 and some change cc smaller than the yamaha r7 and makes more power. You'll get a slightly higher top speed, better sounding engine, for the same price.
      Or you could get the cbr650r or daytona 660 and get over 90 horsepower. I just don't understand.
      Is it a yamaha thing? You love yamaha? Cuz I got some news for you. Yamaha lost the right to customers when they ditched the r6, and cemented their future as GARBAGE by announcing the discontinuing of the r1.
      Yamaha doesn't deserve your money, and you're not getting a good enough product.
      I'm left with no choice but to assume you honestly have no working brain cells. There is NO legitimate reason to buy an r7. Yamaha FAILED.

      @@TheJoker-gg8hcJesus, everything’s gonna be okay man.
      I think people just enjoy the Yamaha reliability, the aesthetic, the low down torque, and the responsibility factor of not committing to a rocket death machine for a first bike. Spreadsheets should not rule ALL of your purchase choices.
      But I do agree, there are many competitive or better bang-for-buck alternatives.

      It’s a good option for a first bike, just make sure you take your time learning the machine before you start pushing the limits. Take a rider education course, do your parking lot practice sessions, and understand what the bike is capable of. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.

    I have the hots for the R7 as the bike to replace my 125 but...
    ...I don't need all that power, being honest with myself.
    I'm not on my way to a liter bike.
    And I can't safely exploit it's performance, it does 0-100mph in something like 8 secs, thanks but no thanks, too fast.
    So R3 it is for me, does everything perfect except for quenching my thirst for speed which better be left unquenched when it comes to two wheels.
    Love your style btw, got some humor to go with, everyone's just so uptight.
    And what did you say about my momma? HUH?

    • @Omni_Moto

    Ay Omni Dude, how would you compare the R7 to the MT 07? I'm mostly interested in the ergos as well as the gearing. Recently got an MT 07, so I'm wondering about the competition.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      R7 is just a track oriented MT-07. The MT doesn't have the best suspension package, and brake feel just isn't as good at the lever. I'd say the R7 has taller gearing, but not 100% certain on that. If you are comfortable on your MT, don't even bother looking at the R7. The only recommendation I could see being feasible would be doing R7 suspension and front brake master cylinder on an MT from an R7. All the best! Ride safe. Thanks for watching. 😎

    I’m still trying to determine whether to get the R7 or R1. I love the crossplane engine of both, and would use it to commute to work but my commute is utilizing A LOT of windy twisty roads. I want a bike that is flickable. I know that price difference is huge between the two, but that’s not a problem. My body is use to the sport bike riding style so I’m fine with that. Any thoughts or helps would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are two vastly different machines even though they are done in the same style, but based on the description you provided I'd say the R7 fits into your template much better. The R7 has usable power you can harness on the windy roads, is substantially lighter than the R1, and gets better MPG. If you have any inclination that 75HP isn't sufficient enough though, save yourself some time and pony up to the R1. Hope this helps! Ride safe and thanks for watching.

    • @NightmareEcoF-150
      @NightmareEcoF-150 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Omni_Moto thank you for shedding some light and thoughts on the question. I’m just wondering if I pony up and get the R1 will it be just as flickable? Or if that is my concern then R7 is a better option for me. I’m an experienced rider that has ridden both size bikes before but just not those actual bikes. Continued thoughts would be greatly appreciated

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@NightmareEcoF-150 The R1 is more capable than the R7, but the ability to contain the R1 and _really_ use all of its potential is going to be difficult to do. The R7 is more forgiving and makes for a more rewarding experience when it comes to taming the beast as you can go wide open on it with less chance of it getting away from you. The R1 will keep you happier longer than the R7 but the R1 also poses as a more risky option so be mindful if you decide to jump up to it. We're talking a 75HP sport bike versus a 200HP super bike. Make sure you can really ride what you choose and you don't get taken for a ride. 👍

      @@Omni_Moto thank you for u thoughts on this. Seems if this is the case, then R7 might be a better bike for me then. Idk if u know bike history or not but I use to own an Honda RC51 (RVT1000 SP1) and absolutely love all the power it had and the v-twin sounded amazing (also why I am in love with the crossplane engine) and it was an absolute blast to ride but not as easy to throw into turns. Before that, I had an old Yamaha FZR400 (non exup version) and that bike was an absolute dream. It sounded amazing and better yet, I could literally throw that bike anywhere I wanted, it just lacked top end power (something I rarely tried using cause I rode it like u would on a track). So that’s why my dilemma is what it is. Idc about top end power. All I care about is which will be more fun throwing into turns?

    Do you think it’s best to trade an 2022 mt07 to this?

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you are fine with the same amount of power and roughly the same top-end speed, then sure, but if you're looking for something that is more capable and has more raw UMPH then you'll be disappointed. Trading an MT07 for this bike is a pretty lateral move, with the only real improvements being the suspension and wind protection.
      If your goal is to get into a supersport, You'd be better off moving into a GSXR-750. It's an excellent vertical move up the ladder with a legendary reputation to back it up.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ambermeows150 I don’t want to say yes and lead you astray - I’d recommend getting a hold of your local motorcycle shop and see if they can help set your suspension up correctly for you. A different fork oil + spring upgrade can make a big difference.
      There are a lot of people who have done front end conversions on a lot of bikes, it just depends how determined you are in the end. 😂
