I will come to blows with someone who tries to stop me from upvoting this channel's videos. This guy is sharp about making all resources yield the most return. Nothing gets wasted, not even a nickel. What a wonderful process, those pigs becoming pork for the dinner table. Lazy people could never survive like this family who works daily.

Why now Mr. McGie, rather looks like you have stumbled yourself upon some kind of a renewable feed resource! What a wonderful family outing your could put together stomping grass into barrels like that. You could try out to become the King of the Grass Stomper's Society, Tennessee Local Chapter! On the other hand, how much of your local grass does your family collect up to add to the garden plots that you have? All those rich nutrients and enhanced garden goodies are sure to make for having a Great Day! -Bob...

Great idea. I'm glad it is working. As they say... a penny saved is a penny earned. Plus the added minerals will benefit later in the compost pile. 👍👍

I injoy so much watching your channel. You give us so much information. Please becareful feeding your hogs fish. I set nets out year ago. I was catching so many Buffalo I started feeding to my hog. I feed theme fish off and on all sommer.not everyday but I set net maybe 2 time a month. That fall we butcher my hog that went about 250. There wasn't a peace of that pork that didn't taste like fish. Even the sauge. I thought the sauge would be eatable since all the spices that goes into it.but it was fishing to.god bless your friends from Arkansas.

It definitely works! We feed our goats for free through winter on it. A little diluted molasses and some homemade lactic acid bacteria is what we mix in.

That's awesome it worked out so well ! When we were mowing and bagging my back field I was thinking this would be some great feed for animals . We only mowed about a quarter of the field and got two huge wagon loads for mulch in the garden . The bagger for my riding mower was a game changer for getting a bunch of grass clippings . Thanks for sharing and have a great day !

@@McGieHomesteadAdventures wouldn't a soil tamper work to pack it down or does it take wieght? I do know tighter its packs the better it keeps. Did you find much settling after it sat a while?

    • @McGieHomesteadAdventures

No settling here Bill…… but it was an insane amount of packing……. A tamper would probably not have the same ability because the grass tries to puff back up as soon as the weight is lifted.

🙄. Does your wife or daughter do embroidery or crocheting etc? If so I've got some old hoops and different things that I got while I was moving s friends Mom from WV and she was going to leave it. Hell no that's going with me. I was going to give it to my daughter in law but she doesn't do anything like that.
She thinks she's a master chefette. She can cook but not to my liking. I've spoiled myself on Mom and sisters cooking with my spin added.
