The pitman arm (1 zerk) and idler (2 zerks) just have normal straight out zerks for who knows what stupid reason. When I replaced mine (GM Genuine) I installed 90 degree zerks to make greasing a much more humane, clean and quicker job of those two parts.
I was taught as a kid to grease a grease zerk until grease came out somewhere. Turns out that really only applied to tractors pivot points. So i greased all of my ball joints on my gmt 400 until grease came out of the boots. I now know i was wrong. Woops
@@MattsShop my dash light on the truck will brighten up then go dim, saw a video saying to replace the light switch they go bad have you ever came across this bad switch lose connection
@@MattsShop my tractor was running fine, but had a leaky head gasket, i just replaced my head gasket, and now its smoking Black and spewing oil up the intake

Yea, it makes it much more humane haha. The 90 degree fittings are the best.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The boots are pretty much useless anyway. I guess the keep the water out and dirt if you offroad lol

Does this apply to the newer generation silverados? Like the 19’ model?
It should be similar.
could you switch a Silverado like that to have torsion keys on there and everything
It's not worth it. I suppose it's possible, but you would have to swap out everything even the steering and change everything.
👍
