So I had all the issues with mine. I sent it in, got it back with the new spring and striker. Ran about 400-500 rounds through it with no issue, then suddenly the issues returned. I sent it back in again and they replaced the entire gun (it’s their policy if you send a gun in twice for the same issue). With the brand new replacement one I had 2 failure to return to battery in the first mag, but since then it’s been ok… so far. I’m 650 rounds in, running 3 different brands and a mix of 124 and 115. Gonna get past 1000 rounds this week for sure.
@dan_mccaulley Try target loads with really round jackets, also check the lip of your barrel for any tiny imperfections this was one of the causes I had that they couldn't fix with my dad's replacement Also swapped the springs - green tabbed one runs 115g to 124g okay. Now that I've worn it in and figured out it likes blazer ammo I only see a light strike once every 400 rounds or so and never with blazer brand. Any questions just ask I never thought I'd get the thing functional 😆
@@thomaswolf6507 appreciate the info. I’ve got close to 2k rounds through it now. I had 2 more failure to return to battery but I was torture testing it and it was pretty damn dirty at the time. It’s a nice gun but I’ll never fully trust the thing
@@dan_mccaulley That's how I feel about it in a nut shell, "A nice gun but I'll never trust it." Even if it it just those occasional light strikes, when it comes to personal safety or being LEO, or competition, you can't worry about failure to fire, or failure to return to battery. My CZ Shadow 2 Compact blows this thing out of the water. My custom Glock 17 Gen 5 blows it out of the water. That said, it's fun to shoot... and once I learned that the Pit/Sander viper 7 to 8 thousand dollar pistols have the same Glock-Clone style polymer lowers - feeling the slide on this butter up from wearing in the spring... 1k vs 8k for pretty much the same thing from TTI. If I ever spend more than I did on my CZ it will likely be on an Infinity or something really custom / nice. For EDC I recommend a trustworthy trigger, not a super light competition single-action. Dad almost blew his knee off double-tapping a .45 with a competition trigger and he didn't even understand what happened (fast positive reset, light pull)... the speed of these guns and delicacy of their triggers is not for everyone. Some people are apes and need an 8lb glock trigger to be trusted. I think the Canik trigger weight is fine, but light strikes... no. ZERO malfunctions and counting with thousands through my CZ and G17. CZ is the better gun, custom Glock is best bang for buck although I'd go with Shadow Systems in the future.
I bought the Mete SFT Pro that has the same trigger as the TTI, and then had the barrel ported and for way less than the cost of TTI. Runs like a dream!
I’ve ran about 400+rnds of pmc 115gr fmj bass case through mine and only had one light primer strike so far which could have just been an ammo issue, could’ve been the gun as well. Personally I believe it was just a bad round, only due to the fact the gun has run phenomenally for me otherwise. I did reach out to canik yesterday just to see if I could get the “Heavy” guide rod/recoil spring but that’s only cause I’m curious of the difference in use of different ammo types. the only complaint I have so far, is I wish they would’ve done a threaded comp rather then a detent/pinned comp with the notched barrel. But we will see with time what they come out with for aftermarket options/upgrades.
You guys should at least have tried the light recoil spring! Might have shot even better. A 15 lb in a Rival poly frame helps alot. Considering that is close to a rival with a comp, the spring might be sweet. Nice video, thank you!
I don’t mean an issue taking spring out. The paint or ink or whatever they used to signify the heavier spring, that green color at the end, comes off and spreads around the innards of the gun.
@@LeadslingerOutdoors You probably got one with the green tab on top. I believe what is going on is they are now manufacturing the green springs to deal with all the defective models they sold people (a LOT of people, which they deny, but is easy to prove due to mass Reddit/TH-cam folk with the same issues). At first they were painting the tip of the spring green (I have 4 springs, lol) and that includes two of the green ones, one painted which made a mess, and one where the green is like a polymer or whatever.
@@LeadslingerOutdoors I have an early Rival -S and after about 500-600 rnds and it started 3-4 malfunctions every mag and sent it out it went to a shop in Louisiana and it was hard to decipher the paperwork but they changed my barrel and locking block and it's runs great now probably 1000 rounds thru since its been back from warranty
Canik was saying “limp wrist” and “high powered ammunition” may be leading to a malfunction. I have never had a malfunction with a Glock after thousands and thousands of rounds. I don’t have limp wrists so really curious what will be the outcome of this gun
Lol, I wish the piece of crap they sent out just needed a spring swap. Not even close, even their gunsmiths couldn't fix it. Took them like 3 months to finally get out a replacement, and it still has light strikes. This gun is a meme next to a custom CZ Shadow 2. I did confirm later in your video you got the green tab newer spring, not the painted one that makes a mess.

You're shooting "too fast," bc you're slapping the trigger. I noticed both of y'all were tucking your heads down into the sights. Bring it up to your eyes, not bending your neck to see through the sites. You're not shooting so fast that it sounds like one round. Literally not possible. Other than that, it's good to know the heavy spring might make a difference. I have my spring coming in the mail and hopefully it fixes the ftrtb.
I've had this pistol fire as soon as it resets several times because the trigger is so light. It's not the guns fault but since I had the gun returned we have had no issues. I think they might have changed or done something else to fix the real issue. Just something to think about if the new spring doesn't fix your issues. Thanks for replying. Another update will be out in the next couple of weeks.
This guy is a manufacturing nightmare. The issue is not the spring. The issue is the striker, but yet they keep sending out Springs. I'm just going to sell my and stick to my glock 19x and Taran tactical is not even doing the warranty for the gun
@@LeadslingerOutdoors Some of the springs they send out are marked green, others are like painted green. The painted ones make a damn mess. The other ones don't. I know because I had to send my dad's in TWICE. Century Arms lost my business forever, and that was with the result of a functional replacement due to how poorly they handled things and the law they broke in the process.

@@LeadslingerOutdoors what did they do to it?
It would be a help to all of us owning these that canik let us know what's going on.
Possibly a ammunition choice problem?
If you pull your striker pin, you can see the damage is not the spring.
Sell the gun immediately.
By the time people figured out it was the striker, I had already got mine back from Canik so when I checked it there was no damage.
I actually only had an issue with meocanik red dot and they sent a new one within 4 or 5 days. I never had an issue with the actual gun yet

Still waiting for the TTI to be launched in South Africa......Can one assume that the issue of not returning to battery has been fully resolved ?

Same here
What is the warranty on this firearm?

Yes, I think they fixed my striker when I sent it in and just went with the story that it was the spring.
It’s made in Turkey way cheaper to manufacture. Really should retail no more than 729
What monocular are you using?
It is the Vortex Solo. It’s a great little tool.

Guys, great channel but please invest in lapel mics. Your audio is terrible and almost impossible to hear.
What part of the video could you not hear? Sounds good to me but we do plan on getting better mics
Maybe get a better phone to hear, the video and audio is excellent
SUGGEST YOU START YOUR OWN CHANNEL AND "PAY" FOR YOUR OWN MIC. . BET YOU GET LOTS OF SUBS NOT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We didn’t notice I will check it out
I did not notice that but I’ll keep an eye on it

So many people had problems with their gun, but we have not had a problem with ours wince it got back from Canik.
bad stance and holding of weapon
Thanks for the constructive criticism. What tips do you have so we can fix it?
