My ptosis surgery was NOT cosmetic, but function gain. Right eye is 60-70% of vision, left eye 30-40%, left eye droop more pronounced & obstructed, but didn't matter due to vision so weak in left eye. So, had both eyelids levators 'shortened' to unblock vision by a surgeon 'specialist' as you are, south of Atlanta. Left eye came out fine, right eye came our WORSE. Has been 17 days since procedure. Entire game was to correct vertical double vision because of ptosis causing wrinkle in cornea, causing vertical double vision., causing loss of detail in all times. Now worse as max lift of right eyelid is LOWER than before surgery. This has been an emotional disaster. This can be "revised" or corrected? Probably result in inability to close eyelid, right?
I had ptosis surgery for my left eyelid last week, but now my right eyelid is lower than my left. I’m worried that they have overcorrected it on the left side and now it looks uneven. But my doctor said it’s due to swelling

How long it takes to see results? I had my ptosis surgery 5 days ago but it still remain the eyelid lower...maybe its for the swelling and the tape i got on the eyelid?
I have acquired left eye ptosis, and it just happened last 2019 , during that year got divorced and constantly crying , emotionally stressed and later that year of being emotionally stressed I noticed my left eye is droopy and I was suspecting being emotionally stressed caused it because of too much crying .. thanks to Upneeq eyedrops helps with my ptosis .
Double vision after ptosis surgery is rare, but it can be related to traction on an eye muscle. More information and an exam would be necessary to give any further specifics.

Ptosis surgery recovery is around 7-10 days. During healing it is important to keep the surface of the eye lubricated.
