Welcome to the Mets Jesse. Gotta love gritty & passionate players like him. His “relationship” with Mets fans was just good clean banter - nothing malicious or nothing bad. Now he’s a Met & he’s a solid ballplayer. With Jesse & the additions to the bullpen, we are in good shape. The only wrinkles we’ve encountered are Senga’s freaky injury mishap which is tragic. He finally came back only to hurt his calf on a run to cover 1B. Like WTF? Also top rookie prospect Christian Scott straining his arm is a bummer because he has some filthy stuff & has just encountered some bad luck in his very early career. If we can stay healthy & get some guys back, we should be able to make a good run. We’ve been wining without Pete, JD & Francisco hitting their stride. I expect them along with McNeil to have a hot second half. You Gotta Believe! Let’s Go Mets!🙂👍
STEARNS has a big job to do. The starters run out of gas between the fourth and sixth innings (Kenda excepted and sometimes SEVERINO). The relievers are very questionable, with the exception of NUNEZ and BUTTO. and DIAZ still has to get back to the right yrack.
