I like the point, army values. Its hard to recognize and appreciate that real-time and isn’t necessarily something you think about when going head to head.
This almost felt like a double negative when it came to both sides of this match. I wouldn't call this a winning Ottoman strategy at the end of the day. Big Brain sacrificed much of the actual reasons to play Ottomans by sacrificing the gradual yet consistent momentum of military schools to slowly build up an expensive and time consuming knight army through inefficient means. He could've used the free units to get his Vizier Points sooner, all while pestering and poking PTA's workers and distracting his troops to give time and room for the Field Work Imams to seize relics uncontested. Not to mention eventually just start getting knights for free from the Military Schools. Probably the reason it didn't end up failing was because PTA squandered his Men at Arms force and gave up the army lead. A poor decision rectified only by the worse decision of the opposition.
how does he age 3 before hre though and get the relics uncontested? Not to mention holding off MAA in feudal and getting the map control to get the relics

@@riddybombastic3653 At the end of the day, Ottomans don't have to get to Age 3 to attempt to snatch relics from the HRE. They just need the Field Work Imams, and as quickly as possible. The quickest and most cost efficient way is having Military Schools continuously boosting existing unit production to get that first Vizier Point quickly before HRE ventures out around the Age 2-3 timeframe, which is doable even from Age 1. All the while, the Military School units can be used to harass enemy villagers, intercept enemy units seeking to harass, or escort the Imams when they go for the relics. HRE doesn't usually have substantial military forces in early to mid Feudal, and it's only when they have Regnitz or Monastery in Age 3 do they usually send the Prelates out.
Ive been trying this build with the ottomans and it works so good. Still trying to find the right build with it. Building miltary schools in age 3 late after aging up fast and getting knights out and grabbing relics . Great game!

the reason why hre lost last battle, spearmen must be in line formation, because knights are faster units, they making around units the circle and after that overwhelmed it. that was the reason why the ottoman player made two groups of knights. Because if not, you are loosing 40-50% initiative dmg. half of your units has no space to attack, or they are running on their position. And its happening with every type of meele units. Ranged units they are overkilling, what is again loosing dps.
We saw some line formation play in the Redbull wololo. I think it's a great idea, I have been meaning to experiment with it more. I wonder if things would have gone different had he used it.
right, going field work in fudal and then go fast castle to insta grap to relics was my first idea as well, when i saw it. Plus, the aoe healing. It dosent sound much but, healing for just 4 HP makes already a diffrents for many units to survive one more hit.
