@@tylerlee4279 there are lots of top ranked players playing Malians right now. Looks like they are figuring out how to play the civ, specially with trade. For me it makes more sense than considering that it was underpowered.
@@thukdun Eh I think the game will evolve to counter the musofadi. i.e you could use low cost units to absorb their first strike, and then use tanky units to allow ranged units to kill them.
That blacksmith exploit is kind of OP! Imagine if you build houses that contribute to total population without being fully built, or keeps that fire without being fully constructed!
@@Hakiros54 When I mentioned it is kind of OP, I meant because the blacksmith provides massive buff (not small buff by any means) for military production speed (25% feudal / 33% Castle /40% imperial) for all buildings under its area of influence, and if in this match only one building was affected, in other matches, more could have been affected.

10:45 you can even destroy the black smith & the buff will still be applied to the already built building in range. that's aside from not needing to fully build it.
Why is nobody adding monks/imams to the unit composition? I hate to see those 10HP half-dead soon-to-be-corpses trying to contribute to the battle and failing miserably in the first random hit.
Dunno, mb because it takes additional micro. They are gold units and without HP grade ( by default only Delhi tooks it) they are pretty squishy and slow ( Delhi move speed grade for scholars ) making them okay unit
I would say more - 20:00 minute mark was crucial. Puppypaw got like 40 military units advantage. He should have pushed there and there were no Sofas to counter those archers at that time. But this waiting made Szalami even up the numbers and then it was unbeatable. Also without walls, as Drongo mentioned.

Drongo what are the unwritten rules in ranked, like i heard stone walls in castle and no stone towers but is there anything else one should pay attention to? Started my first ranked games so i wanna play properly.
That's only for very high level ranked, the same people who play the big tournaments as they tend to extend tournament rules to ranked. Play how you like!

I dont understand why men at arms keep being made against malians when they achieve literally nothing as musofadi, and sofas crush them and even javelin throwers do decent dmg against them. I feel like just going spears only and backing them up with mangonels is the only viable way
