I'm not from Tamil Nadu, but I spent a good number of years there. When I first started kdramas, I was soo surprised at how similar Korean sounded to Tamil. Not just the words like Amma and appa but even the tone that they speak. It has the same rhythm to it. I immediately Googled it to know more. Honestly I thought I was a genius for pointing it out 😂

    2) Kummi - Ganggangsulle
    3) ila vatakal - deuldol deulgi
    Traditions:
    1) Tamil Traditions - Korean Shamanism Traditions (Similar)
    2) Manivizha - Hwangap
    3) Nadukal - Koindol
    Women, Fashion, Beauty:
    1) Pottu - yeongjigonji
    2) Nethi Chutti - Jokduri

Earliest Evidence of Tamil language is the Sangam Literature of around 300 BC
Earliest Evidence of Telugu language is found in Bhattiprolu Scrip of around 400 BC
Earliest Well recorded Evidence of Sanskrit language is from Syria under Mitanni Kingdom which ruled between 1500 and 1350 BC and which too is the Late Vedic Sanskrit. Vedic Sanskrit is even more older and the Oldest book being the Rigveda which was written more than 8000 BC back in the SaptSindhu Area of India ( as it is now a scientifically proven fact that Saraswati River has Died out 6000 years ago and was it in max Potential 10000 years ago which the Rigveda depicts ) . It reached Syria because of trade relations between Indians and West Europeans .
Evidence wise Tamil sits THIRD on the table but who even cares , the fact is Indian languages are the oldest and the mother of most of the Eurasian languages .

For example: 1. There are women sea pearl divers only in TN and Korea in the world since olden days. 2. Lifting a round cut rock with flat base to get married to a girl 3. Elongated ears which was only done in TN and Korea. 4. More than 500 exact words is similar but 3000 or so diagnosed to Tamil and Korean 5. Kimchi is similarly made to Tamil pickel, mandu etc 6. Girls game were small stone is thrown in the air and before it comes down quickly collecting small stones underneath and finally catching the stone which was thrown in the air, etc (for more info google) all thanks to history where Tamil princess married Korean king 2000 years ago, it is said she went with whole lot of people like personal workers, tailors etc

The word pedar in Farsi, which is a member of the Vedic family of languages, comes from the Vedic word pitr. Europe’s Latin family of languages contains a large number of words descended from Vedic: Petar, pear, father, etc., have all come from the Vedic word pitr. Pitá means “he who rears”, or “he who protects”. From the word pitá comes the old Turkish word itá - in medieval Turkish atá/átá. Kemal Pasha did a lot for the people of Turkey so he was called Kemal Atatürk.

    Aaraaroo aariraaroo, achhante/ammede molaaraaroo/monaaraaroo...
Lullaby, mom/dad sings to the baby in malayalam, also came from Tamil.
Well, malayalam itself came from Tamil.

Tamil and Sanskrit are 2 most oldest languages in the world. So, its natural that many other languages have similar words with these 2 languages. If you see, there is a lot of similarity between Sanskrit and Russian and German languages!
Even, many words like Papa, Father, appa, Padre come from Sanskrit word 'Pita'. Even the word GOD in English has originated from the word Hutam from Sanskrit. Hutam -- Gutam (german) -- God.

  • @crombajaa
    @crombajaa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Well, one common reason is trade! And the other reason they say and one more reason that seems to fit is that the queen who went from south Indian to Korea some 2000 years ago is that she is said to have taken a whole bunch of people with her like 5000-10000(numbers maybe bloated) people as her loyal caretakers. Like maids, bodyguards and other professions. So, its like a whole village or more has moved to another county. And they "the common people" mingled with the Korean common people like shops, education and every day activities to mix Tamil into the Korean language because of every day use. So, it may have unintentionally spread through out the region because everyone was interested in these new people and their culture. This theory fits perfectly!

Some Tamils say that the "queen" from Tamilnadu who married Kim Suro was the youngest of four sisters of Yeshua ("Jesus"). She has several titles such as "Suriratna" and "Sembavalam"; and in Korean histories, she is referred to as Heo Hwang-ok. They were married in Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu in 48 CE after their union was arranged by Thomas, the disciple of Yeshua. After the marriage, they travelled to Korea with a fleet of 324 ships loaded with goods, artisans, and even an army. The goal was to create a self-sustaining community in the southern coast of Korea that would be a leading trading nation. Both of them had visions of marrying someone from a foreign land. Kim Suro is recorded in Tamil histories as being the chief of the Sura clan, which was a clan of sharkhunters in the navy of the ancient Pandiyan dynasty. Sembavalam's mother, Miriam, had been living in the kingdom of Parthia but was forced into exile after she was found pregnant before her marriage. They went to Tamilnadu. Did you know that the word "peninsula" is of Tamil origin? It is from the Tamil expression "Penin Sulai" which means "woman's womb". The Sura clan decided to occupy many of the peninsular regions of the world, especially those having large islands nearby, because this would allow them more protection against enemies. Thomas apparently decided that it would be best to protect this member of the holy family by having them marry the chief of the Sura clan, who were expert sailors.

Recently I've realised something funny. And that is Jabby can notice a slightest resemblance in two songs and declare that they are the same song or one of them is inspired by the other. I'm not trying to demean him and I'm not particularly talking about the songs played here as well.
I have just noticed him always pointing out "this song sounds like or is inspired by that song" even though the only similarity might be something very basic like a few notes being the same or maybe the percussion being similar.
What I'm trying to say is that the inspiration and sometimes many people call out things like plagiarism is not always the case even if it sounds similar to your ears. Since there are only a few basic sounds we use to make songs and those sounds are arranged and rearranged in several ways to make new music, finding two songs similar doesn't necessarily mean that one of them is inspired or worse plagiarised version of the other.

That aarariraro word can be sung in many ways. But there are particular way that word is sung. That word is sung as a lullaby to make a child sleep. That word, pronunciation, elongating that word while singing n the tune of the song really helps to put a baby asleep. The tune can differ based on people n different generations sometimes. So the similarity is the word n the purpose it's used for.

Yes, Scholars should invest to understand the history of similarities between Korea and Dravidian languages in both countries.
In India, more specifically in Tamilnadu temple site, as others region within Dravidian/Deccan area have lost lot of artifact's and literature( that are generally part of temple structures) due to islamic invasion. considering, that TN is situated at south most of Dravidian land and was less affected by Invasion and destruction lot of Dravidian artifact's can still be found.
