If you are interested, learn Tamil 😘, It won't be taught except Sri Lanka , Tamil Nadu , Singapore & Malaysia because we are not imposers like hindi people . P.s I'm not disrespecting hindi language, only the Attitude of Hindi people
Not only Tamils (especially the Cholas), how about Vijayanagara empire? Also not too much about Marthas, Sikh empire of Ranjit Singh ji, or women rulers or India like Ahilya Bai Holkar ji. It's just the British and Muslim emperors being whitewashed.
I think we should stop glorifying Hindi and English and speak are own languages. Like you gotta know your mother tongue and one official language at least. In Bihar people are not speaking their dialects anymore coz Hindi has been so glorified there. And English, I don't know why people feel so proud to speak the language that has been historically forced upon us. I mean it's just another language 🙄
My father being from border area of andhra and tamil nadu and studied in tamil medium school..he was more drawn to tamil literature and movies even though we settled in andhra and that rubbed off to me..my mother tounge is Telugu but I can proudly say my father tounge is Tamil

The relationship between the Chinese and the Tamils is 3000 years old. Trade and Cultural exchanges flourished during the reign of the Pallavas. ... Buddhist Monks Buddhabadra and Bodhidharma travelled from Tamizhagam to China and established the Shaolin Monastery to spread Zen Buddhism🇮🇳🇨🇳
hello girl I've also seen you in the comments on almost four channels reacting to the same video. Your language also attracts my attention. Very nice to meet you .who loves our language so much❤ Tamil
It's incredible that Tamils have influenced so much of the "Asian" cultures - china, Korea, Thailand... i think we should all be taught about tamil culture in schools.

Tirukkural (திருக்குறள்) is a classic Tamil language text (the divine book). The Kural text was authored by Thiruvalluvar (Saint Valluvar). It is structured into 133 chapters, each containing 10 couplets (or kurals), for a total of 1,330 couplets, each couplet has exactly seven words.

And you are right! There is no official language of India 🇮🇳.. India a culmination of many cultures and many languages.. let all the languages get equal importance throughout India.. let us not and we cannot hail just one language as superior or official language of this country.. And let us respect the legacy of Tamil culture for the longevity it has been in existence and for the richness it shows in its literature 🙏 Tamil Vazhga!!
While I completely agree with the sentiment you expressed, I will just make a small correction. There are 2 official languages at National level, Hindi and English. But at state level there are 22 scheduled languages. To reiterate, there is no "National language". But languages for official use are there.
The indian union government has hindi and english as official languages and all state governments have their own official languages. There is no single national language in india but several recognised national languages.

It just brings to tears to see the state of what Tamil, Tamil People & Tamil Culture are in today. But am sure until the last Tamil draws the last breath Tamil will live, evolve, rejuvenate & raise back stronger than ever.
I am a Malaysian Tamil. I am proud of my mother tongue the Tamil language. I also speak and write in English and Malay as well. It helps to learn a mostly spoken language in your country in addition to your Mother tongue language for your very own comfortable existence and survival. I grew up watching Tamil, Hindi, Malay and English movies and western television series. Hindi movies were very popular with the multi-racial society in Malaysia, consisting of Malays, Chinese, Indians, natives and others. These days, after some comedy scenes from Tamil movies were dubbed into Malay and shared in TH-cam and Facebook platforms, I sense a disdain among viewers from their comments for Hindi movies and their too many rich flashy fantasy themes though the love for Hindi songs remain very strong despite not knowing the language at all. They seem to prefer watching Tamil movies that focus more on the reality of life in the cities and rural society that they themselves can identify with. Of course, there are Tamil movies with fantasy themes too.

the reason why they love their language so much and don't want it to be overshadowed by any mean is could be bcz they've seen the other oldest language "Sanskrit" going from a prominent to nearly extinct , and they didn't want the same thing to happen to Tamil. Bcz Language is actually a key of your history and civilization and makes you who you are.. This could be the same for China, Japan and few other countries that has an Ancient or nearly Ancient languages which are even older than some countries and civilizations
I live in Switzerland were so many people who are Sri Lankan Tamils came as refugees. Though they have gone through the worst of the worst. I know a couple of Sri Lankan tamils they some of the hardest workers and have a never ending postive attitude which moved me.
It’s not the first language but down to it is the world oldest still speaking language there most definitely older language many ancient peoples did really right language but spoke a language
@brian0902 the oldest language in the world is not provable because languages were spoken first before being written. Meaning Tamil could have been the 1st language in the world.
If you start to know about the tamizh language and literature it never ends at a point. Everything followed and following by tamizh people have scientific reason ❤❤❤❤❤ that's why I love my culture 😍
Hey great reaction guys! It's not necessarily that Tamils have any issues with North Indian languages themselves - it's when those languages are imposed on them that they take issue. But I think the sentiment stems from threats of invasion from North Indian invaders in the past before we had the geopolitical borders we have today, when armies could just come in and conquer land and rule over them.
Good video of great information. Should not have ended with Rajini who is a non Tamil. There are greater and better actor like Kamal. That part of the video was disappointing
Kolam is a geometric pattern that is made from rice flour that is set on the ground using just hands to make the pattern. The kolam is put there every morning, in front of devout Tamil homes which still follow its own culture, so that the little ants will get food and won't come into their homes. Best wishes.
The lady Sambavalam (Heo Hwang-ok, Korean name for the princess of Korea who migrated from Tamil Nadu coastal area) appears to have left India from Kanyakumari by boat/ship, and then married a Korean prince who fell in love with her as soon as he saw her. So, Tamil Nadu & Korean have More Similarities in Language, Culture, Symbol & Food🇮🇳🇰🇷💛💜
Tamils are only against imposition. We watch movies in Malayalam, telugu, kannada,English even korean. Our Bias against Hindi cinema or Hindi in general is only because of its imposition over us. Remember "World is my country and everyone is related to us" was and is our thing for thousands of years.
Well that's fine I understand but I don't like the hypocrisy of tamil people, they can accept English which is a foreign lang but can't accept hindi which is a derivative of Sanskrit which came from their own mother land.
@@mtk3755 Why would ther give special preference to Hindi, why not Punjabi, Marathi or Bengali? Hindi has too many Farsi & Arabic words anyway, Bengali is much closer to Sanskrit. Tamil is much older and they have all right to choose whatever language they would like to use...Hindi imperialist you are!
@@mtk3755 Ill explain please try to understand. English for us is to connect to outside world, Also its common to both Hindi speaking Indian and Non Hindi speaking Indian. Why thats important is because if both Hindi speaking Indian and Non Hindi speaking Indian speak/compete in Hindi, the Non Hindi Speaking ppl like us become 2nd class citizens in our own country. So as Aringar Anna said "Why do we need two holes in the door for a big dog and small dog". Tamil is our own language for us to learn and English is for us to connect with the rest of the world and gain knowledge. If we go to a state wer noone knows English/Tamil we ll learn Hindi and live there. If u come here learn Tamil.Hope u understand.
All fed with political agenda of divisive politics. Above all there is a lot of hate for Hindi speakers, that’s what this is. We were fed with gyan on harmony from childhood. Taught to be inclusive, that’s why we talk of respect everyone, every culture and things like I am not Tamil but I still love you kind of comments, But this rampant hatefulness towards hindi speakers and there must be an objection. This politics should stop immediately. A lot of atrocities have been committed out of the hateful thought process which is Fed to masses. It is not being second class citizen this is a free country and your voice and concern is heard understood acknowledged. But bringing this language politics over and over again is way too much, remember there is only give respect to get respect. You don’t respect the other language, you anything in Hindi with black ink, this is too disrespectful to a language and people not just some but a nation full of people you are disrespecting try to understand that also and you are hurting the sentiments of masses. This attitude must change! We cannot keep hearing this bullshit forever.
Tamil people not wanting Hindi as the national language aren't the divisive ones. Imagine two countries combining, and one country deciding unilaterally that their language should be the only recognized language in the whole country. That would be excluding the other language entirely.
Hindi people want others to learn their language but don't know to teach their language to their children. The people in hindi metros especially are obsessed with English and don't even know Hindi or consider it as a lower thing. Moreover they want others to learn their language but won't learn others languages. These kind of chauvinism will break nations, idiots don't know it
@@msraja1230 Are you fucking out of your mind , how many so called hindi people have forced you to learn hindi , on the other hand the level of language chauvinism shown by tamilians is just on another level.
@@MegaApurv007 really? Do you listen to your ministers? They now have pulled back from that on recent 'hindi' day speech but dude that was their go to thing of Hindi being a national language matrabhasha of Indians bla bla bla. They keep forgeting to add 'some' in front of Indians.
2 countries...?... really?..... Do u know who is Adi Shankaracharya and Ramanujacharya.....greatest philosophers (Vedanta) of entire country... And where they are from...they are from south....both studied and written books in Sanskrit and Tamil....there was no such thing as (north-south) at all at that point of of time... @@biswanathmahapatra8441 the issue we are talking about is the exclusion of Tamil. I'm not from Tamil Nadu, nor do I speak Tamil, but you are waving your sword at the wrong enemy, bro
Also, there is no animosity within us Tamilians towards North India or other cultures.. it’s just that we would like to be left alone and preserve our rich cultural heritage and possibly share the wisdom of our ancient literature with the rest of the world than another culture/language/beliefs thrust on us and made compulsory for us to follow.. that’s it.. willingly we Tamilians watch North Indian movies and even learn and speak their languages even though this nature of open mindedness may not be shown by other culture people towards South Indian languages..
That's a wrong assumption that you have made. People fron all over India, north, north-east, west, everyone love Tamilians and many who are interested in learning languages learn Tamil. Also a small correction, just as there is no unified "South India", similarly there is also nothing as "North India". For a man who lives in Jammu, Punjab is South India. Likewise for a Tamil, Andhra is North. We are different, and that's what makes India so unique. We are vivid, colourful and tied by a thread of unity. We are like an elephant that is bright like a peacock. We should take pride in this.

@@sangeetat6848 Yes sister. I agree with you. I am from west bengal and in our contemporary history books, there is no mention of any Bengali Kingdom either. Rather of no East Indian Kingdom. It is only later that I got to know about the Bengal Sultanate, The Mallas, The Palas, The Senas and Ahoms of Assam. All that we learnt in school was Bengal has always been part of a larger Empire and it was later ruled by British. If that was it, how do we speak a distinct language and how come we have such cultures that are different from rest of India. But I also realise it is simply impossible to put history of every state in text books. It should be out personal curiosity that one should learn stuff out of textbooks. Absolutely agree with you

Actually We have official languages, we have 22 official languages. What we don't have is National language. This confuses everyone even the Indians. So we have official languages which are used in official works but no National language.
Have already posted on original will do here as well. As a north indian, I'm glad I watched this, expanded my knowledge on tamil people, also a note to all my Tamil brothers, stereotypes are everywhere, like there must be towards me as well in other parts of India, but we have to realise india has recently became modern and most of our parents generation never saw any other ethnicity growing up, they used to live in the same places there entire life, people have started to move recently and as they'll travel and interact there perception will also change towards other ethic group which are not their own as they'll meet them, india has a lottttt of problems but it's still better than majority of the world where most of the countries, except few in west, can't tolerate other relegion's or even ethnicities, so be proud to be tamil and be proud to be indian🇮🇳 as without Tamils or any other ethnicity there is no india ❤️

Official purposes language means the mode of communication used in official documents and proceedings of Central government ... you cannot have it done in all language since cost of translation and system functioning will increase tremendously. To be honest with you the History of Tamil can't even be done in multiple of series because they're impact as Humanity as whole at least on this planet is way beyond. This is a well done short summary with great contents of Tamil culture(The culture which proved the nature of the existence from the beginning, & still western society believes it has came from so called white scientists). It make me sad to see the world population which living in ignorance without even knowing the power with in each & every one of us(Human being). Spirituality is not about being a super human it's all about realizing being a human is super. Always remember "you can ignore the truth but you can't ignore the consequence of ignoring the truth". This is a quote from one wise man who got enlightened. All the gurus sages mystics ancestors throughout the history known the truth by self realization(God realization) but obviously in a society which so blindly submerged in to their own self created ignorance those enlightened beings are labeled as crazy.

Yes in fact it make sense that the ignorant people(99% of people in the modern society) live in superiority complex by their self created illusionary EGO & became entirely blind for truth & still living in the delusional MATRIX. Meditation is the key to self realization & therefore Enlightenment.
Still the choice is yours, even hereafter decide for yourself that while breathing in this planet as a human being are you going to be sleep and going to be dragged from your curdle to grave or going to wake up for your true nature & live the life as it meant to be.
