You forgot the mention one great thing… the game is dynamic. When you are playing away, the other team attacks more, when someone gets a red care, the environment change.. there is a balance where you are attacking more, than the other team attacks more once they suffer a goal, etc. it feels like a game. And by the way, when you play with a better player, it really makes a difference
another wonderful thing is the sider. you can put into the game all the real stadium, most of them are really good, and the chants of every team, all the national anthem, cardboards, every team real names and 2 or 3 uniform, and i'm sure i'm missing something. I'ts the closer experience of a football match imho.
@@leonardo_r_v I don't know if you've played FIFA or not, I've played all FIFA games from 08-18, and have seen this happening from atleast FIFA 13 or 14 because that's when I got good enough to understand the subtle changes in game. Not at all interested in this FIFA vs PES debate, but you can't say FIFA didn't have this temperament change feature depending upon stadiums and in-game situations.

If they upgrade the passing system, yeah. Its the worst thing on this PES. If u choose to pass to player A and the ball comes closer to the player B (almost stopping at his feet), the player B will ignore the ball, run away and the player A gonna run to the ball.
I think it is not Konami's fault. Players didn't take up the game. New players didn't enjoy the learning curve. They wanted childlike arcady game like fifa. It's all about the money I guess.
Iam die hard pes 21 fan...did a lot of pes videos on my channel aswell, but after almost 5 years playing the same game, got little bit tired of the same movements, same cpu boring style of play etc ..however it is still the best game ever, and real simulation compared to ea fc 💩
I've got 6.5k hours in this game with current master league season in the 2160s. So sad that no other game could reach the gameplay standards of the 2021 PES update. Simply the fact that you can easily press the ball with two players by just holding one button makes it so much better than any other soccer game.

@@ujjwalkc-xp9lo The graphics are similar in PES and FIFA but the gameplay in older FIFA games is way better than the gameplay from older PES games. I don't care how popular was the fake PES 5 and PES 6. None of the PES games come closer when it comes to older FIFA games between FIFA 05 and FIFA 08.
Few things bother me about PES 2021: 1 - The weight of the ball is strange, it is very slow and seems to float in aerial plays 2 - The animations and movements are not as fluid as they should be 3 - The placed or controlled kick button (R2) is not efficient, the animation is not good, the movement is slow and with little impact on the ball Still, it is the best and most complete soccer game ever created.
Long rangers need full manual controls which means you'll need to learn how to manually shoot, which is the hardest part of fuma (second only to manual volleys). Check out all the long rangers in my "Top 10 PES Manual Goals" video!
I watched that, your goals were awesome! I'm still trying to learn manual shooting cuz with immersive broadcast camera I really struggle to get the hang of angles with long rangers. Currently, I tend to use assisted gameplay and then activate manual controls when the situation calls for it.
@@machetegaming I used to do that i.e. Play with manual passing but with assisted shooting for a while, as in my manual passing video. That's what I recommend, just switch to total manual passing, which is much easier to learn, then dip into manual shooting which will be a painful 2 months but totally worth it.
I've put over 1000 hours into pes 2021. It's the true successor to the great pes 5 and 6. The glorious thing is there are lots of gameplay patches that make it feel fresh.
This game doesn't cease to amaze me, it's so much more realistic as a football sim than your yearly arcadish copy & paste FC or eFootball. Just now I was in Be a Legend mode against Newscastle that was controlled by AI. Almiron was dribbling inside the penalty box and he went down. The ref approached, showed a yellow card, the commentator said Almiron was being booked for diving lmao. Wow just wow. I think this is the first time ever I see it happening in a computer football sim, an AI controlled player dived, simulated a penalty, tried to fool the ref but the ref showed him a yellow card for diving. I've never seen something like this in other football videogames. I'm very impressed.
If you take a finesse shot with lots of power outside of the box,it usually flies like "blitz curler" in efootball. Konami removed it from efootball to add it as a player skill on exclusive cards,which is an awful thing to do. Greedy.
I'm on season nine in the Master League, hope to reach and finish the 10th, but i'm also downloading FL25. Smokepatch guys are awesome. The gameplay is a masterpiece. I've tried SP on pes2021 and I never went back. Simply amazing.
Before even watching i knew right away from the title you were talking about PES 21. I remember doing Messi career mode over and over because it felt so real. Idk how to explain it but the way it running, passing or shooting with Messi felt the way it looked IRL 😂 the best football simulation game
@@machetegaming instead of smoke patch stadiums use virtuared, they are more detailed and have more lighting, they also have every single country stadium in the game, and there is custom lighting for each league.
Ive just fired up Pes 21 with V3 option file. It still brings me joy this game. The game has sole. I got myself a copy of fc25, and with all its bells n whistles, the gameplay is soulless. However, i will admit, the gameplay has improved. I dont think ive ever continued to play any game for 5 years.
My problem with Football Life is that the AI either can't intercept anything,or it absolutely destroys you when you turn the difficulty up. Also,I think there are not enough off-the pitch features. I also think that players like Chiesa,Mbappe,Vinicius,Leão and other fast players should feel faster in the game,because they feel really slow and not agile at all. I like the game but decided to delete it,I made a backup of my face files though,if I ever want to play it again.
I was a big fan of iss pro 98 and pes 6 but fifa kills it since the 09. I got pes 2019 for 5€ the other day thinking it was gonna be so much fun. Played two games with mates and went back to fifa 22
I recently bought Pes2021 for PS4 to play on my ps5 and I downloaded a mega mod where I can play with classic teams like 07-08 Barca and 89-90 Ac Milan. And I can play with all legends. That’s all I wanted. It’s awesome. They even have the right jerseys for each team.

I'm so grateful for the developers and their effort for football life 25. I've downloaded and play it because I love football games but I gotta be honest the gameplay is infuriating at times. It seems like everytime i go near one of the opposing players when i have the ball i get easy knocked off the ball and lose possession, my players seem really weak shoulder to shoulder, and when they have the ball it's sometimes impossible to tackle them without the referee blowing the whistle for a foul, the ref decisions are really ridiculous.
Maybe try F4L PROTOTYPE Gameplay? It's the gameplay mod used for this video. From what I tried with FL25 default gameplay, F4L Prototype has more physicality for both your and opponent possesions. Plus fouls are called more evenly with it.
I have no doubt that the amount of passion put into this mod is probably more than what EA puts into their yearly releases and it is certainly a mod to try and enjoy. That said, I can't not in good conscience agree that it is realistic. And this is caused by a glaring flaw that I believe can be fixed with proper tuning. I feel like the toning down of the game's speed has simulated a condition that's akin to watching retired players play football on the moon. The ball's movement is too much floaty and lacks weight. I think the lack of long range bangers you mentioned is a victim of this as well. Unless that gets solved it's really hard to take the game's realism seriously. However, as I said before, that takes nothing away from the amazing work the devs have put into the mod and the great many features it has.

I used to play with small clubs in this game, building a European or Asian team with unknown Latin American or European players, even recreating old players or regenerating legendary players in my squad and playing for 20 years. It's an endless joy. PES 2021 brings back the glory of the old PES. I even downloaded a patch with European clubs from the 90s and played the Champions League, and had an unbeatable experience. Gen Z has ruined video games. I'm starting to feel like I'm playing Overwatch, not a football game, with the latest versions of PES and FIFA.
When PES 21 was on gamepass i loved it. Even though i only play career mode i loved how customizable the player creation is. If Konami kept the core elements of it then PES wouldnt be in the dreadful state its in now. If UFL dosen't impress i'll definitely be getting PES 2021 again
"Master League" is kinda typical PES manager career mode in Football Life. I like it, there are of course transfers, you are a manager and can change clubs over time or coach national teams. There is also "Become Legend" for single player career mode. But I did not play this one much yet.
Fl25 just released bro. Best part is that it is small in size without faces and stadiums. Virtuared v9 also just released. It's possible but finicky to add Cred to FL, it's meant for pes21. The pitch is ass imo. 2.3 gameplay the referee is so hyperactive! 3.3 gameplay fixes that from the fl switcher. Love and blessings!
When everyone have subconscious, rhythm, character, emotions, and most importantly, weight (even the ground can feel it), body balance, muscles, then its all good.
Unfortunately modded and unmodded pes games since 14 feel like you're playing a totally different game. Personally I loved the pes series till 14 but then, while I still played it with every FIFA cause they complete each other for me, FIFA feels better with all its flaws. If you could bring mods to consoles tho...
2 things I hope they tweak from PES 2021. Fukking ref who 80% side with AI and low team AI got buff against player team. Like an AI's CB with pace+acc less than 80 can chase a +90 pace+acc player. While the AI shyt striker with slow speed stat can out run player CB with +90 pace. Not to mention an AI player with dribbling skill less than 80 can perform like Prime Maradona against player. This is how Konami doing since PES 2010.

I agree. Modded PES 21 is still the best football game out there, but gameplay wise, eFootball is way better especially with the dribbling. The players inertia on eFootball is miles ahead of PES 21, especially eFootball 0.9, and the defending is way better too in eFootball. The only downside about the gameplay of eFootball compared to PES 21 is the ball physic, it's not as good as PES 21 but it's still enjoyable. Once master league and edit mode are available in eFootball, and mods starting to be made, we will get the best football game out there.
Just this night. I was about to delete FL24 from my computer because it's really frustrating, and i am not enjoying it a bit. But after watching this video, i will download the 2.3 version and play it to see what you saw. Hope i enjoy it.

Hey! Sorry for late reply, I did not see your comment. I tried FL25 without additional modding, and I prefer FL24 with the Megapatch. When the Megapatch is released for FL25, I will shift to it, but until then I will continue playing FL24 + Megapatch. How the gameplay feels depends on the gameplay mod people used in those videos. My footage uses the gameplay mod from Megapatch (I think it's called F4L PROTOTYPE Gameplay). I also often play on -1 game speed, so the gameplay looks a bit slower and more realistic (imo). Sider comes with Megapatch as well, so I did not have to mess with files by myself. Hope this helps! You can hit me on Discord if you got more questions.
i still love pes 2019, played for maybe 400-500 hours, I havent tried the free version but so sad they effectively made a mobile version of such a great game. Is pes 2021 better than 2010 ? if so i would definitely get it
if you are fan of 2010, you would be frustated to find out the 2021 normal speed just too slow, so i think you must play the 2021 in full speed +2, and you will see its better than 2010
I am great football fan. Over the years pes and fifa have eroded the game and made it look so robotic and does it feel real. I k=miss the good old days of fifa 19. Efootball 2021 was great as well
yes but you can't compare ultimate team (or MyClub) arcade gameplay (based on mixed team with playstyle, chemistry style card, boosted promo card, etc..) with a gameplay based on club teams.. there'a s huge difference
thats because the newer game engine after pes 19, idk the gameplay on 20 - now is so hard with mediocre team, i prefer the pes 19 gameplay than this next gen, but ofc, many features of next gen is really impressive, players behaviour feels so real

Can we play online multiplayer or like will it come in the future? Cuz if we can play a football game with our friends that has the latest roasters and gameplay that exactly feels like what we see in tv then nothing can really beat that shit, and if its for free, like efootball/pes then shit gonna be FIRE!
I haven't played yet, but there is a discord server where people play modded PES21 using an application called Parsec. So online is possible, especially with friends!

Still new to the world of modding...so please excuse my ignorance...Do you need PES 2021 in order to use this pessmokepatch? I cannot find any copy of PES 2021 available on steam...
I'll do my best to describe things clearly. It was confusing for me at the start, too, so fully understand! PES21 is no longer available on Steam. PES Smoke Patch is a standalone version of the game, which you can get for free by following the link in video's description (sometimes people call it Smoke Patch, sometimes Football Life). Then to get enhanced gameplay and all other juice, you need to download Megapatch 2.3 (link also in video's description) Bear in mind that, they just (few hours ago) released Football Life 25 - like the newest version with current teams etc. This one however does not have this Megapatch (until late November at least), so its probably a bit more bare bone in terms of little details and has different gameplay patch than what I am discussing in this video. Personally I would still download FL24 with Megapatch 2.3 and then switch by the end of the year when they release Megapatch for the latest version FL25. Hope that helps! @@machetegaming I was thinking about getting a ps5 but hell I'd get a PC just for PES 21 or FL24. I've got a ps4 pro and still play PES21 today from the day it came out.. I certainly can't mod the teams to the standards PC users can but the investment would be worth it just getting a taste of this.. awesome footage.
PES 4,5,6, etc, were not realistic games. Their whole gameplay was very fast paced, and had a very simple gameplay, easy to handle. Even faster than EA FC nowadays. I am rediscovering it cause I am playing them on my Steam Deck. And it was a good thing, arcade football games were always more fun to play, (almost) nobody wants a pure real simulation. If you'd want a real simulation you'd need to have a 90 minutes game, with very slow pace, otherwaise it simply cannot be realistic in 10 minutes of gameplay. Not sure a lot of people would like that (even if there are always exceptions). Old PES games were great because they were addictive, and very direct, you were constantly switching between attack / defense. And it was really well balanced too. I think the 8 directions only were facilitating the job of the developers. The AI was quite enjoyable and reacted as a human would. Every goal was different. Nowadays in football games, all the goals are pretty much the same (even in this PES 2021 game) and it really kills the fun for me. I hope someone (maybe an indie dev) would resuscitate the old PES gameplay.
Among the shortcomings is a limitation of game modes.The master league is fun at the beginning but once you play a season or two it gets repetitive hence banal.

That defo doesn't happen with this patch. CPU attacks are quite varied and the style of their attack depends on the team you're facing and the openings that your defense presents to the computer.
I hated that glitch when I was still playing the original pes21, However since I've been playing the modded version, I've never seen it, It's like it was removed completely from the game and I dont know how, the modding community are really a blessing
I did not put entire legends teams per se. There is "classic teams" league in edit mode which contains a lot of past iconic players. And so I transfered few legends from there to respective current teams to spice things up.
It's a crime that not 1 good football game has been released since the launch of Ps5. All we ask for is a new pes 21 with all the mods like you are using a high-end gaming laptop. I mean, what is the point of buying ps5 or ps5 Pro?

Just now I was in Be a Legend mode against Newscastle that was controlled by AI. Almiron was dribbling inside the penalty box and he went down. The ref approached, showed a yellow card, the commentator said Almiron was being booked for diving lmao.
Wow just wow. I think this is the first time ever I see it happening in a computer football sim, an AI controlled player dived, simulated a penalty, tried to fool the ref but the ref showed him a yellow card for diving. I've never seen something like this in other football videogames. I'm very impressed.

If you take a finesse shot with lots of power outside of the box,it usually flies like "blitz curler" in efootball. Konami removed it from efootball to add it as a player skill on exclusive cards,which is an awful thing to do. Greedy.
I'm on season nine in the Master League, hope to reach and finish the 10th, but i'm also downloading FL25. Smokepatch guys are awesome. The gameplay is a masterpiece. I've tried SP on pes2021 and I never went back. Simply amazing.

Before even watching i knew right away from the title you were talking about PES 21. I remember doing Messi career mode over and over because it felt so real. Idk how to explain it but the way it running, passing or shooting with Messi felt the way it looked IRL 😂 the best football simulation game

@@machetegaming instead of smoke patch stadiums use virtuared, they are more detailed and have more lighting, they also have every single country stadium in the game, and there is custom lighting for each league.
Ive just fired up Pes 21 with V3 option file. It still brings me joy this game. The game has sole. I got myself a copy of fc25, and with all its bells n whistles, the gameplay is soulless. However, i will admit, the gameplay has improved. I dont think ive ever continued to play any game for 5 years.
PES2021 is the last almost perfect game that was made about football.

My problem with Football Life is that the AI either can't intercept anything,or it absolutely destroys you when you turn the difficulty up. Also,I think there are not enough off-the pitch features. I also think that players like Chiesa,Mbappe,Vinicius,Leão and other fast players should feel faster in the game,because they feel really slow and not agile at all. I like the game but decided to delete it,I made a backup of my face files though,if I ever want to play it again.

I recently bought Pes2021 for PS4 to play on my ps5 and I downloaded a mega mod where I can play with classic teams like 07-08 Barca and 89-90 Ac Milan. And I can play with all legends. That’s all I wanted. It’s awesome. They even have the right jerseys for each team.

I'm so grateful for the developers and their effort for football life 25. I've downloaded and play it because I love football games but I gotta be honest the gameplay is infuriating at times. It seems like everytime i go near one of the opposing players when i have the ball i get easy knocked off the ball and lose possession, my players seem really weak shoulder to shoulder, and when they have the ball it's sometimes impossible to tackle them without the referee blowing the whistle for a foul, the ref decisions are really ridiculous.

From what I tried with FL25 default gameplay, F4L Prototype has more physicality for both your and opponent possesions. Plus fouls are called more evenly with it.

I have no doubt that the amount of passion put into this mod is probably more than what EA puts into their yearly releases and it is certainly a mod to try and enjoy.
That said, I can't not in good conscience agree that it is realistic. And this is caused by a glaring flaw that I believe can be fixed with proper tuning. I feel like the toning down of the game's speed has simulated a condition that's akin to watching retired players play football on the moon. The ball's movement is too much floaty and lacks weight. I think the lack of long range bangers you mentioned is a victim of this as well. Unless that gets solved it's really hard to take the game's realism seriously.
However, as I said before, that takes nothing away from the amazing work the devs have put into the mod and the great many features it has.

I used to play with small clubs in this game, building a European or Asian team with unknown Latin American or European players, even recreating old players or regenerating legendary players in my squad and playing for 20 years. It's an endless joy. PES 2021 brings back the glory of the old PES. I even downloaded a patch with European clubs from the 90s and played the Champions League, and had an unbeatable experience. Gen Z has ruined video games. I'm starting to feel like I'm playing Overwatch, not a football game, with the latest versions of PES and FIFA.

When PES 21 was on gamepass i loved it. Even though i only play career mode i loved how customizable the player creation is. If Konami kept the core elements of it then PES wouldnt be in the dreadful state its in now. If UFL dosen't impress i'll definitely be getting PES 2021 again
How does the career mode compare? Are there transfers? Team management etc? I've grown tired of FIFA and I'd like to find something else.
"Master League" is kinda typical PES manager career mode in Football Life. I like it, there are of course transfers, you are a manager and can change clubs over time or coach national teams.
There is also "Become Legend" for single player career mode. But I did not play this one much yet.

It's possible but finicky to add Cred to FL, it's meant for pes21.
The pitch is ass imo.
2.3 gameplay the referee is so hyperactive! 3.3 gameplay fixes that from the fl switcher.

I still play PES 2021 on my PS5. As vanilla as it gets. Still the best footy simulator I would say.
When everyone have subconscious, rhythm, character, emotions, and most importantly, weight (even the ground can feel it), body balance, muscles, then its all good.
Unfortunately modded and unmodded pes games since 14 feel like you're playing a totally different game. Personally I loved the pes series till 14 but then, while I still played it with every FIFA cause they complete each other for me, FIFA feels better with all its flaws. If you could bring mods to consoles tho...
2 things I hope they tweak from PES 2021. Fukking ref who 80% side with AI and low team AI got buff against player team. Like an AI's CB with pace+acc less than 80 can chase a +90 pace+acc player. While the AI shyt striker with slow speed stat can out run player CB with +90 pace. Not to mention an AI player with dribbling skill less than 80 can perform like Prime Maradona against player. This is how Konami doing since PES 2010.

I agree. Modded PES 21 is still the best football game out there, but gameplay wise, eFootball is way better especially with the dribbling. The players inertia on eFootball is miles ahead of PES 21, especially eFootball 0.9, and the defending is way better too in eFootball. The only downside about the gameplay of eFootball compared to PES 21 is the ball physic, it's not as good as PES 21 but it's still enjoyable. Once master league and edit mode are available in eFootball, and mods starting to be made, we will get the best football game out there.

Hey! Sorry for late reply, I did not see your comment. I tried FL25 without additional modding, and I prefer FL24 with the Megapatch.
When the Megapatch is released for FL25, I will shift to it, but until then I will continue playing FL24 + Megapatch.
How the gameplay feels depends on the gameplay mod people used in those videos. My footage uses the gameplay mod from Megapatch (I think it's called F4L PROTOTYPE Gameplay). I also often play on -1 game speed, so the gameplay looks a bit slower and more realistic (imo).
Sider comes with Megapatch as well, so I did not have to mess with files by myself.

i still love pes 2019, played for maybe 400-500 hours, I havent tried the free version but so sad they effectively made a mobile version of such a great game. Is pes 2021 better than 2010 ? if so i would definitely get it
if you are fan of 2010, you would be frustated to find out the 2021 normal speed just too slow,
so i think you must play the 2021 in full speed +2, and you will see its better than 2010

yes but you can't compare ultimate team (or MyClub) arcade gameplay (based on mixed team with playstyle, chemistry style card, boosted promo card, etc..) with a gameplay based on club teams.. there'a s huge difference

Can we play online multiplayer or like will it come in the future? Cuz if we can play a football game with our friends that has the latest roasters and gameplay that exactly feels like what we see in tv then nothing can really beat that shit, and if its for free, like efootball/pes then shit gonna be FIRE!
I haven't played yet, but there is a discord server where people play modded PES21 using an application called Parsec. So online is possible, especially with friends!
You can play online by using external application called Parsec (to connect directly with players). There is also discord server for people to find matches.
As long as 10 minute games can still result in score lines with 5 goals or more it’s not realistic.

I'll do my best to describe things clearly. It was confusing for me at the start, too, so fully understand!
PES21 is no longer available on Steam. PES Smoke Patch is a standalone version of the game, which you can get for free by following the link in video's description (sometimes people call it Smoke Patch, sometimes Football Life).
Then to get enhanced gameplay and all other juice, you need to download Megapatch 2.3 (link also in video's description)
Bear in mind that, they just (few hours ago) released Football Life 25 - like the newest version with current teams etc. This one however does not have this Megapatch (until late November at least), so its probably a bit more bare bone in terms of little details and has different gameplay patch than what I am discussing in this video.
Personally I would still download FL24 with Megapatch 2.3 and then switch by the end of the year when they release Megapatch for the latest version FL25.

I certainly can't mod the teams to the standards PC users can but the investment would be worth it just getting a taste of this.. awesome footage.

PES 21 is the pinnacle of football simulation. I still play the game.
PES 4,5,6, etc, were not realistic games. Their whole gameplay was very fast paced, and had a very simple gameplay, easy to handle. Even faster than EA FC nowadays. I am rediscovering it cause I am playing them on my Steam Deck.
And it was a good thing, arcade football games were always more fun to play, (almost) nobody wants a pure real simulation.
If you'd want a real simulation you'd need to have a 90 minutes game, with very slow pace, otherwaise it simply cannot be realistic in 10 minutes of gameplay. Not sure a lot of people would like that (even if there are always exceptions).
Old PES games were great because they were addictive, and very direct, you were constantly switching between attack / defense. And it was really well balanced too. I think the 8 directions only were facilitating the job of the developers. The AI was quite enjoyable and reacted as a human would. Every goal was different. Nowadays in football games, all the goals are pretty much the same (even in this PES 2021 game) and it really kills the fun for me. I hope someone (maybe an indie dev) would resuscitate the old PES gameplay.
Among the shortcomings is a limitation of game modes.The master league is fun at the beginning but once you play a season or two it gets repetitive hence banal.

That defo doesn't happen with this patch.
CPU attacks are quite varied and the style of their attack depends on the team you're facing and the openings that your defense presents to the computer.
I hated that glitch when I was still playing the original pes21,
However since I've been playing the modded version, I've never seen it,

I did not put entire legends teams per se. There is "classic teams" league in edit mode which contains a lot of past iconic players. And so I transfered few legends from there to respective current teams to spice things up.
It's a crime that not 1 good football game has been released since the launch of Ps5. All we ask for is a new pes 21 with all the mods like you are using a high-end gaming laptop. I mean, what is the point of buying ps5 or ps5 Pro?
