I have a GE fridge that uses the WR51X10055, which does not include the assembly. I cannot find the wire assembly anywhere, since mine has burned out on both sides. I would like to know if the wires can be removed from the one you have in the video? If so I can splice the connectors and replace my bad ones.
Big chief how do I know when the evaporator is bad? You mentioned that when the food side feels warm? I would like to know if possible thank you before I start changing the evaporator in every fridge i come across thank you, I always watch you videos to learn some thing , one thing it troubles my mind it's why you don't use a screw gun , thank you
fakk u You are commenting on a defrost heater video so I am going to assume that's what you are asking about. The actual evaporator is not something you just randomly change on any fridge. The defrost heater melts the ice that builds up on the evaporator so there is good air flow across it and into the fresh food section. If it is iced up the fresh food section will be warm. Defrost heaters can be checked for continuity with your testing meter. We do not use screw guns due to the light weight metal and plastic that these screws go into, hope the video helped you out!
