Nissan sells pads that come with the hardware, highly recommend unless you want the premium pads and rotors; they don’t come with the hardware. Front brakes need a 22 mm and a 14 mm; rear brakes need a 19mm and a 14mm. Be prepared to whack the rotors off; they were seized liked crazy. Definitely use anti-seize and caliper grease when replacing the new parts. I found it hard to use an impact wrench for the rears because of the space between the caliper and suspension. All in all this video was perfect to help me plan the work and get all of the necessary tools prior to replacing them. A+.
I watched this video to learn something. My car is equipped with electronic parking brake so there’s some special procedure for the rear brakes. I guess your car doesn’t have it, but every 2021 Nissan Altima I’ve ever seen does
I pretty much thought this was how it should go. I was concerned because I didn't have clearance to use a socket to remove the rear caliper bracket, but I see now it was because I put the jack under the suspension, which kept the brake assembly up, and not down.
@@Therealpeter10 sounds like the hardware is rubbing very common issue. Make sure hardware is aligned. Or remove caliper and turn wheel by hand to hear for any noise
I have the service manual front is 20 caliper to bracket..back is 25 electric parking brake 32 manual parking brake caliper to bracket.. bracket to knuckle front 107 rear 62..
@@Lovesausage269it’s so hard to find torque specs for 2019+ altimas but from what you remember it was 107 for the front caliper bracket 20 for the slide pin bolt and 62 for the rear caliper bracket and 32 for the slide pin bolt?
Thank you very much for such straight forward tutorial. Changed my brakes in no time!

I ran into the same clearance problem in the rear, I guess a u-joint and extension could help, or struggle with a wrench.
What’s the best of brakes to use for the newer Nissans ?
what size breaker bar? I dont have power tools and am having a hard time those that 19mm caliber bracket bolts off.
Hi
Which company rotors and brake pads for rear?

Sorry so late but yes I bought and adapter and just changed mine today after watching the video the adapters were 5 dollars and the 14mm was 7$
What flashlight were you saying that red one ?

Yea im considering buying a obd2 tool to retract the rears but you can do it manually but its a pain
Is this the same for a 2020 Nissan Versa SR
Not same
Versa only has drum rears

I have a 2020 Altima SL and I have electronic calipers
Same, can’t seem to find any info on it.
How many miles did the vehicle had?

My wife’s 2019 Nissan Altima has 92,000 miles !! Travels a lot for work and in need front and rear brakes
Great video. Keep it up mate thanks
Sooooo make sure to hang the back calipers, but the front calipers are OK to dangle?
No, don’t want to dangle them as it could damage the brake line.
My 2020 maxima caliper is sticking is that normal?
What do you mean sticking?

Was reading comment to see if the extra piece with down on both sides. No-one asked, and inkybone brake gor put in so I guessing yes
Thanks bro! Great job
No torque specs provided? I haven’t found a clear precise spec online. Just a bunch of diff ppl’s opinions. Lol
Tight is tight

I used channel locks
Now show me the rear with the secret way to retract the electronic parking brake
