Many years I saw a Bette Davis cigarette case in an antique store in New Orleans. I could not afford it but now I really wish I had made the sacrifice to have something owned by my favorite actress. Thank you keeping her memory alive.
It’s great she had such a kind loving mother. She definitely a survivor. She was such a great actress and a nice human being. There’s so many of her movies that I loved her in. I love old Hollywood. A lot of my favorite movies are the old Hollywood movies. Bette Davis was very gifted and a loving daughter and sister. Thank you Jordan and Amy.
Hi Jordan!!!! Amy and Jah as well...loved #1300 Bette Davis vlog....I appreciate each and every vlog you do....has really been great entertainment while having to stay home so much! As I told you before, I was an extra in A League Of Their Own....I got bitten by the acting bug myself lol as I was working as an extra from around 6 am to 6 pm each day and going through hair and makeup! A very exciting time in my life...The last day we filmed, one of the cameramen shouted Hey Lady in the red dress, GREAT ACTING! and threw me an autographed baseball signed by Tom Hanks and the cast!!! ...Wanted to know if you had heard this...the last surviving member of the ROCKFORD PEACHES has passed away at the age of 101, Mary Pratt.....I cannot imagine how exciting it is to live in CA..and how exciting to be able to become friends with the wonderful SHELLEY WINTERS!...Loved every movie I have seen her in..I love LOLITA 1962!!...Im in Indiana and opportunities here in the heartland are limited....it is beautiful here however! I LOVE the old vintage movies...I agree with Amy, I believe Bette was one of the very best, along with Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and so on!!! I collect Marilyn Elvis and Audrey, of which my personal bath is decorated....I am becoming a PATREON today!! Sorry for the lengthy comments however I wanted just to get in touch with you...I WANT TO KNOW do you have like a fan club page/address whereby I can send Jah some treats or toys from now and then....and gifts to you as well.....I do have a friend out in Burbank whom I send things to P.O. Box so was hoping you would have one! Thanks again for listening and for brightening our lives!!!!!
Betty Davis was an awesome lady. She had a lot of spunk. I have seen interviews of her, and she was "no nonsense". Thanks for sharing Jordan. Awesome as always
Great vlog on miss Davis. I am one of those who enjoy when you vlog the cemetery's. It's paying respect, plus the insight and history on the person. Great job, Jordan, Jah, and of course miss Amy. Be safe and healthy.
Another great vlog, Jordan! You have a way of capturing our attention with your sincere interest in your subject travels. I thrive on your interest and vlogs of Old Hollywood. It's so sad that those landmarks and vintage homes slowly keeps disappearing. Thanks for helping to preserve the memories.
Thank you for doing Bette today, shes my favorite as well, from Dangerous, The Petrified Forrest, Now Voyager, All About Eve,and Dead Ringer, these are my favs of hers, but I love everything she did ❤💜💛
Thanks for this vlog, Jordan. I really loved Bette Davis also and it was so interesting to listen to you tell her story. Hope you are staying safe and well.
Hi Jordan & Amy, WHAT AN ACTRESS and what a fighter!! Bette was a true professional and warrants all the awards she was honoured with. Bette fought for her place to be a Hollywood star and thoroughly deserved all the recognition she got. What a beautiful resting place for a true HOLLYWOOD STAR. Rest In Peace Bette. Great vlog Jordan.
Yet another suburb vlog Jordon. Good to see Amy too. How cute was it to see deer feeding in a cemetery. We certainly don't have that scene in Adelaide South Australia. Too cute. Thanx again Jordon
Great vlog, I especially enjoyed seeing the location of her last residence.....my favorite Bette Davis movie was Now, Voyager....she was wonderful in it.
This is a fantastic vlog. I always felt that Bette Davis should have won her third Oscar for her performance in "What Ever Happen To Baby Jane." I also heard narcissistic Joan Crawford did some things underhandedly that would prevent Davis to win her third Oscar award. I saw interviews from Bette in her later years who stated that if Crawford left it alone, and she hypothetically won the Oscar for "What Ever Happen To Baby Jane," that this could have made the movie a million more dollars and everyone would have benefited. They were definitely rivals. Crawford was much more insecure, she never finished passed 5th grade, grew up in poverty and she worked very hard to be a great actress. While it seemed that Bette Davis embraced her aging that Joan could not accept her aging in Hollywood. Many years later in interviews Bette stated that Joan Crawford came to the set on time, delivered her lines and was professional. They both were strong feisty women knocked around by some powerful studio heads. They were both courageous not be intimidated. Bette was not considered a beautiful leading actress but I always thought she was beautiful and in my opinion she remains the best actresses to date or at least in the top five. Crawford had talent, but she was no way near Bette's acting talent. (My opinion). Amy picked out a favorite Bette Davis movie brings out a floodgates of emotions because when my mother in law was living, she and I would watch "All About Eve over and over again." My mother in law stated she watched it hundreds of times and she never got tired watching "All About Eve." Marilyn had one of her cameos in the movie and as gorgeous Monroe appeared she didn't upstage Bette. I thought I knew everything or close to everything about Bette Davis's life. I learned other things about Bette's life. After watching your vlog I found out some things that I didn't"t know about her. People claim Meryl Streep is the best actress of all time. I disagree, I think Streep is one of our best actresses but she is over rated and she still doesn't hold a candle compared to Bette. Another under rated and favorite actress of mine is Cher. Sorry so long, isn't funny how fans or people feel about an artist's work? Our postmen/women usually don't have a fan base nor does a pizza maker doesn't yet they are all important jobs for our lives. I think people can become emotional, defensive, excited, passionate because a great artist who works in various mediums can have the ability to make one feel or touch one's soul. This vlog certainly did that for me. I only wish my mother in law was still alive to see this vlog. 😎🍿🦁🎥🍫🍿🎬
I literally just binge watched Feud AGAIN last week because I adore Bette and anything about her life so much. I’m with Amy...I love Bette too because she’s like a boss. Fantastic vlog!
Nice to have Amy as a guest star. I remember that she is a Lucy fan, like me, ditto on All About Eve. The sunglasses were hilarious. The Forest Lawn monument superb. I enjoyed this episode.
Great vlog Jordan! Burt Reynolds knew Betty well and talks about her fondly in his second book. He said that Betty went up to Joan at a book signing she was doing and asked her to sign a copy of her book. She tried to like Joan but as you pointed out, the two never really got along.
Wonderful..wonderful. .you know what we like. Great to see Amy..she's a doll. I'm huge animal lover so seeing those gorgeous deers was such a plus. Betty Davis..one of a kind!!
I just discovered you Jordan and I just adore you and jau. I’ve been so sick from this virus and your vlogs have just lifted my spirits so much. I just really appreciate you. I have 3 sons older then you and I love their kind hearts like you have and any mom would be proud to call you son. Just a fine human being you are and just wanted you to know your bringing joy and happiness to others. I also wanted to mention that I watched jaus birthday video and I saw the other dog licking and sniffing jaus left side of his mouth and just thought maybe check his teeth and mouth and make sure he doesn’t have a little infection or something going on there. I’m sure it’s nothing but I just wanted to make sure. Take care Of yourselves and know your loved all the way in Fort Wayne IN and so appreciated.
Hi Jordan! This is my first time commenting on your channel but I've been watching your videos for awhile now. I've always been fascinated by Old Hollywood so l really enjoy your content. Thank you for doing this video on Bette. She's probably my favourite old Hollywood era actress and I have a connection to her through my grandfather who was a projectionist in New Zealand. He had the privilege of meeting her and working with her in the 1970's. Bette did a retrospective tour where she showed clips from her films and talked about her work to a live Audience. My grandfather got to sit down with her and discuss which clips she wanted to show so he could sort the film reel and it was the highlight of his career. The show toured around NZ and then she asked him to accompany her to Australia. Unfortunately he had to turn her down as he had family and work commitments. He wrote about his experience in his memoirs and said she was very professional and easy to deal with and it was his biggest regret that he didn't take up the offer to go to Australia with her. I think my favourite film of hers is "Baby Jane" although "Of Human Bondage" and "Being Eve" are tied a close second. It's so hard to choose! I'm still working my way through her films though. I need to watch more! A modern day actress that I love is Elizabeth Moss, she reminds me of Bette Davis. She has a similar intensity and acting style.
I am so happy I ran across your vlogs - I wish I found you sooner but man these are great! Thank you for all of hard work and thank you for making quarantine a little more (for a lack of a better term) "bearable"! You rock Jordan!
I really enjoy your videos You are always well informed on whatever your vlogging But I love when Amy joins you. She’s truly a breath of fresh air. She’s a lovely young lady
Another amazing vlog and great backstory on Bette. I love that her resting place faces Warner Bros. Studio - how appropriate! The first movie of Bette’s that I saw was Jezebel and it’s always been a great favorite.
THANK YOU (and the lovely Amy) for this post. The very first black and white movie I saw was “Now, Voyager” followed by my first Sherlock Holmes movie with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. I was maybe 6 or 7 years old (I’m 51 now) and I was instantly hooked! Bette Davis, Bogey and Bacall, Rita Hayworth, Sidney Greenstreet, Cary Grant....the list goes on and on, and don’t EVEN get me started on “The Thin Man” series. I am still passionate about them all to this day. THANK YOU for sharing YOUR passion with us. . What a treat during lockdown 🥰

Oh yaaaay!!!! Love the amazing Bette Davis talented, sassy, just recently watched old episodes of Johnny Carson with her! I highly suggest watching it Amy and Jordan 👍😄🎬 Love to Jah💋
I'm glad you mentioned the Canteen! One of the last stories my Dad told me was about the time he spent the night there during WW2. He said he walked in the door and there was Bette Davis curled up in a chair asleep- hair rollers and pink bathrobe included.
Hi Jordan,Amy,and Jah.I love Bette Davis and used to have two of her movies-Whatever happed to Baby Jane and Hush, hush sweet Charlotte. Thanks for taking us along to see her grave. Its a beautiful memorial.Have a great day and week Jordan.❤️💖

In her later life, even her B-rated movies were much better better than movies today. She could make any part she played AWESOME!!! Thank you for this very interesting video about Bette!
Betty Davis....love her❤❤. One of my favorite actresses. Whatever happened to baby Jane was one of my favorite movies she was in. Thanks Jordan. Much love to you and Jah❤❤❤🦁
Hi Jordan the reason I came to your channel was because of vlogs like this but I have grown so much because of you ! Thanks though I loved it I also love Bette and all those stock Warner brothers Actors !! Great one
Wow! What a vlog! Bette Davis, was gutsy and truthful! One of my favorite actresses! She did kick azz, in "Whatever Happen To Baby Jane?" She was a boss; just like Amy said! Jordan, keep up the fantastic vlogs! 👍🏆👍
All About Eve is one of my fave Davis movie! I also liked her in Whatever happened to Baby Jane. She was a funny and talented woman!! Thank you for sharing🐶❤
You know Jordan when I watched them act together Betty Davis and Joan Crawford, you could feel the tension between them, Joan had a reputation of being extremely difficult to get along with and be around, most folks were glad to see her go. Betty Davis was really a great actress Old school as it gets as stardom goes, not that she herself didnt have a reputation as above the rest either... thank you again for your efforts with this iconic movie actress. She was well beloved by many.
I love Bette Davis, you mentioned all my favorite movies too, Of Human Bondage, Dark Victory, Jezebel, All About Eve and of course Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.

I remember her coming to our small town in the 70's to film a movie. I was able to catch a quick glimpse of her as my Mother slowly drove by the farm they were filming at. At the time I couldn't understand my Mom's excitement.
When I went on the dearly departed daze tour in January 2019, one of our stops was in front of the colonial. I believe Scott said there was a special place for Bette to smoke outside in front of the building. Thanks Jordan and Amy
I'm a fan of Jordan the Lion! I'm not even a fan of Hollywood, but I think Jordan is so sweet and cute, and the son everyone would love to have! That's all I can figure! Plus his stories are just relaxing to watch!
Another superb vlog! Visiting Bette's grave is on my bucket list. I'm determined (once all this coronavirus stuff is over with!!) that I'm flying back to LA from Scotland to see it. Definitely have to visit her final home too.. purely to see the "B. Davis" sign!! Thanks again, your vlogs really highlight my day!
...thanks again Jordan and Amy...Amy, so nice to see you...shouldn't Bette's epitaph read "what a dump"...lol...the Colonial House looks very cool, would love to see those apts...
Yaaay! Thank you for doing this! My favorite Bette Davis movie is All About Eve. The story of the behind the scenes during the making of that movie was very interesting too. 😎👍✨
I absolutely love old Hollywood and Bette was one of my favorites! Thank you.
Many years I saw a Bette Davis cigarette case in an antique store in New Orleans. I could not afford it but now I really wish I had made the sacrifice to have something owned by my favorite actress. Thank you keeping her memory alive.
That would have been quite the treasure ;)
How much was it ?

You did such a good job of telling Ms. Davis’ story. Thank you.
I love Bette Davis. She worked hard all the time and fought hard for what she got. Thanks Jordan and Amy.
Jezebel was Bette’s version of ‘Gone With The Wind’ and won her second Oscar.
"What ever happened to baby Jane" is one of a kind
Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte and Dark Victory were some of my favorites.
@Reese Brindle Anything she was in was excellent.
''Stars” today simply don't shine as bright as old Hollywood. Thank you for another well-researched vlog.
That's so true they don't make them like they used too

I remember her coming to our small town in the 70's to film a movie. I was able to catch a quick glimpse of her as my Mother slowly drove by the farm they were filming at. At the time I couldn't understand my Mom's excitement.
When I went on the dearly departed daze tour in January 2019, one of our stops was in front of the colonial. I believe Scott said there was a special place for Bette to smoke outside in front of the building. Thanks Jordan and Amy
What a great video I watching your videos because you visit places where most of us will not see
I'm a fan of Jordan the Lion! I'm not even a fan of Hollywood, but I think Jordan is so sweet and cute, and the son everyone would love to have! That's all I can figure! Plus his stories are just relaxing to watch!

Another great vlog Jordan! Those glasses Amy has on look like the glasses George Burns used to wear
...thanks again Jordan and Amy...Amy, so nice to see you...shouldn't Bette's epitaph read "what a dump"...lol...the Colonial House looks very cool, would love to see those apts...
Yaaay! Thank you for doing this! My favorite Bette Davis movie is All About Eve. The story of the behind the scenes during the making of that movie was very interesting too. 😎👍✨
Thank You! I didn't know what happened to Her, and I'm a instant fan from watching Her at all ever, totally loved Her!
As many classic performances Bette Davis gave us, for some reason I always think of her in The Dark Secret of Harvest Home. Great vlog!
