Dillon’s art style works for ultra-violent stories because his faces are usually so dead and expressionless. When the violence comes in, the contrast is effective.
This was a perfect way to end Max, Ennis was a god when it came to mastering castle, and Arron ended greatly. Punisher Max is a masterpiece Also Dillons art was a heavy nostalgia call back to the classic marvel knight welcome back frank run, rest easy Dillion you made a masterpiece
Never thought of Kingpin as the Punisher's Griffith! That's an interesting take and I'm here for it! Definitely getting this book once the reprint is available.
Thr fact that you have to question if the language used is ok today is really sad to me…Its art, it’s fiction, its not meant to be malicious so I don’t know why anyone would be offended. And if they are then thats on them for getting offended at a fictional story! Great video as usual man, keep up the great work!

What up, Swoll Mint? Funny enough, I was super into Punisher when I was younger. That he was super cool because he didn't hold back on the bad guys. Haven't read any Punisher in ages, and the most recent thing I've seen with him is the Netflix stuff. That felt nuanced. Kinda funny that they will show decapitated heads but not Bullseye's junk. Haha.
Late to the party, but this Marvel Max Punisher is really good, really like what Aaron did with the character and the ending. Almost as good as Ennis’s run…Cheers!

Damn Gem that is one incredibly sick story, yet it was a fitting end to both Kingpin and the Punisher. They were both two individuals who suffered much in life, yet one took the path of crime and the other of fighting those that committed crimes. In the end they were responsible for each other's finally. When we lose the Kingpin there is always someone sadistic enough to lead the mob but at the loss of the Punisher, we have plenty of inspired people ready to step up to the challenge. Great story and contrast. Thank you for sharing it with us Gem. Take care and stay safe.

Is this an older book or one upcoming? I need this Omni. Dillon's art looks deceptively simplistic but he's actually doing a lot. He's an amazing storyteller with his art. You could almost look at the pages without reading the words and get the gist. And he also understands human anatomy and does a good job of dismantling them when the violence comes in. His art is very cinematic. There's no abstract forms, no fantasy elements. Jason Aaron is really good at fleshing out the villains and making all the characters twisted and messed up in very human ways. These books really put the graphic in graphic novels. Comics get to go that extra mile and is one of the most free forms of storytelling. Check out some CROSSED comics by Ennis for some brutal survival/horror books. But fair warning for graphic content.
Just out of curiosity given how costly this is, I'm still watching the video so you may cover it but if not, how did you go about grabbing this? Did you pay for a copy from a third-party seller or have you been sitting on a copy for a while and just now got around to reading it? I love your videos and takes on comics, so I'm excited to see what you think when the video finishes! Just hit the part where you compared Kingpin to Griffith. Man the story and art are so appealing. Idk if i can handle all the kids murder tho. But on the touchy stuff, i think it’s important we depict these things in all there ugliness. That’s real shit like it or not.
