Somebody told me that this is what I need, and when I hook it up to my master booth headphones, I mean, maybe take me step-by-step here I’ve never had one of these before if you can help me, sir I like all your videos and subscribe please the show sounds terrible because again I just slave, my Apple iPhonewhen it’s on TikTok live next to my pioneer monitors sounds more like a live band than it does that professional radio station quality that I want please help

      @@joeydurham3493 no problem! These are very easy to use.
      1st - find an output on your console or whatever your sound is coming out of ie: mixer, controller, interface. You can you a headphone output as well.
      2nd - using a balanced 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch cable, take the iRig2 and connect it to your output. (Where the sound comes from) You will plug the other end of the cable into the iRig where the “guitar” icon is.
      3rd - the iRig has a 1/8 inch cable connected to it. That is the part you will plug into your phone. You will either use an adapter dongle for iPhone 12 and higher or if you have android you might have a headphone port on the phone.
      4th - simply adjust the gain on the iRig ( it’s labeled) and run a couple sound checks with you “video” function on your phone. Just to make sure you aren’t clipping or distorting.

      @@EugeneTay-ys1lo there are different kinds of apps out there that will let you remove certain instrumentation of a song. “Moises” is one for example. I personally don’t use any of them. I just track drums on top and blend them in leaving mine a little bit more in the front of the mix.

    I got iRig 2 but it sounds like shit... No bass or any depthness. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. Do I really need to get this Stream version? I have been testing input sound by just taking normal video with mic input. It sounds almost same as I would use phones own mic.

    • @BrianDaggett
      @BrianDaggett  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@StevenHoaks so when you do a test on the regular phone video and it sounds the same as the phone mic, it is not connecting. I’ve had this problem before. I would recommend restarting the phone, hook up the iRig, then open the camera app and record video. Also try some sound checks with the voice recorder app. Be advised, there are defective units out there. So if you continue to have issues connecting then contact the seller and get a replacement unit. In theory, the irig should connect and immediately bypass the phone mic. Good luck.

      @@Mulberry2000 I can see where the disconnect is. You are using it as intended for “Guitar Only” by plugging your guitar directly in it and downloading the app for the different amp mods. I get it. I made this video to show that you can STREAM music directly through it to your phone. Using it as an interface link from any mixer to your phone. My bad. I have never used it as a guitar only device by plugging it in directly. However……if you ran your guitar through a mixer, this thing would work all day long.

    • @Mulberry2000

      The problem is iriq and simply guitar do not work, as the guitar will not produce any sound as its not plugged into an amp, its plugged into irig. Simply guitar cannot hear any sound from amplitude as i have head phones on even though according to Simply guitar tech it should. Yes i have put background audio on in amplitude, so when i go out of the app it will still play the sound. Simply Guitar will not pick up the notes played from the sound in the headphones. For the life of me i cannot understand how simply guitar, irig and amplitude are suppose to work together without amp audio played into a full blown amplifier. If it does only work with a proper amp then irig is not only pointless put useless for simply guitar and the makes of SG should withdraw the publicity that is does work. @@BrianDaggett

      You would have to get the PRE version of the Irig. It can take an XLR. They also have a two channel which is called the pro duo IO. If you want to add microphones, you have to get a little mixer and then run out of the little mixer into your Irig2 plug-in.

    You didn’t cover the rest of the wiring. What a waste of time.

    • @BrianDaggett
      @BrianDaggett  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure what this comment implies. There is literally only 2 wires for this unit. One to your phone and one from the iRig to whatever source you are using. Ok so it could be a mixer, in which case is the main output. Or……….an audio source?? In which case would be a main output. In any matter, the iRig captures 1 (audio source) to your 2 (your Phone or tablet). Not very complicated and that is why I love this device.

    • @BrianDaggett
      @BrianDaggett  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So if you’re using a regular keyboard that has built-in sounds, you’re going to want to come out of your left output and run it into The Irig. It should be quarter inch out to quarter inch in on your IRig. Then you should be able to hear stuff. I would recommend getting a tip ring sleeve Cable. TRS. that is the cable that has the two black lines. Not a mono cable like your standard guitar cable. That way you are running right and left on the IRig.
      If you’re running your keyboard as a controller and your sounds are coming from a computer then you need to come from the output of your computer into the Irig.

    • @BrianDaggett
      @BrianDaggett  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also, if your Keys are coming out of your mixer, you can use any output on the mixer to go into the IRig.

      Sometimes you might have to go into your settings for which app you are using and turn off the microphone. Usually as soon as you connect it, it should automatically bypass you phone or iPad microphone. Try it with voice notes to make sure the iRig is working.

    • @BrianDaggett
      @BrianDaggett  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some phones depending on what you are using IG / FB / TikTok, you have to go into the app settings and turn off the iPhone mic. In most cases, once the iRig is plugged in, it will automatically take over the “mic”. Try making a sample in voice notes first. Every now and then you can get a bad unit too. I’ve had experience with that as well. Also make sure that your device is up to date. Lastly there is always IK Multimedia support. That’s the company who manufactures iRig products. Hopes this helps!!
