finally, a video that better explains the setup for the iRig2. I just got mine yesterday. so to confirm if I want to engage/hear another person on my livestream I would use the headphone jack of the iRig2? If I'm producing or mixing in Logic, I'll use my headphones on my interface, right? Great job with this being your first tutorial video!
Any advice on how to use the iRig HD2 or Focusrite 8i6 with TikTok? I can only hear myself as recorded on playback review. I should be able to hear myself live while recording along with the original video in my headphones . . .
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this great video. Is it possible to enter the sound of your digital instrument into the clubhouse and hear the sound of the clubhouse, the main goal is that no one at home can hear the sound of your instrument and you listen to the sound of your instrument and the sound of the clubhouse through headphones?
Hi. Great video. Very helpful. Thank you so much! One question though. The quarter inch cable that you’re using, is it a TS cable or a TRS or a TRRS cable? I believe it’s a TS cable? I have a UAD Apollo MK2 Duo audio interface. I was thinking if I insert a TRS cable in the headphones out. Instead of left or right monitor output and the other end of the TRS into iRig 2, will it work? Thanks in advance
A question: Why does this not work properly with the iphone flash dongle? I used to plug my irig straight into my iphone 6, and record the audio of my groovebox with the videocamera (simultaneously recording the video of my jam + audio). But now I have an iphone 11 it just doesn't work -it records the audio with the phone's built in mic. I've tried this with two different flash dongles, and with two different iphones. Same problem occurs. Strangely enough though, it does record external audio when i tried with garageband on my phone. It's driving me mental...
I'm doing all these exact steps, using ableton live with a shure SM7B and still getting nothing out of clubhouse :( Does it matter what the audio setup is on your mac? Do you have the sound output device as your interface?
Greetings. I have an Audient ID4 interface. No problem connecting to ClubHouse via Protools and turning on the Phantom for the condensed Mic? , that is, the feedback of the Mic does not hurt the Iphone? Thank you and I hope your answer. Greetings
Ross , thank you for being so descriptive I have an old m audio fastrack interface , and the i rig 2 Tonight I hooked it up I could hear Clubhouse , my vocal , and found effects all on one GarageBand track BUT My vocal could not be heard by my audience ?? What am I doing wrong ? Thank you 🙏
Hello, I have got it all working well, I am using an M-Audio Air Hub and it works really well with the iRig2. HOWEVER. my question is. I am using it for adding music but also sound effects to the conversations. But the issue here is that when I use the iRig2 then I am not being able to listen to what other people are saying in the room. How can I do this? to have the iRig connected playing light music in the back but still also hear other people talking. thanks a lot !!
The only fix I know of is to have in ears coming from your interface and over ears coming from the irig2 :/ - I'm sure there's a better way by using a mixer, but that's about all i can muster on my end
I followed your set-up, but my audio FX wasn't recorded...I could hear it in the headphones of my interface, but after I posted the video to Facebook....no reverb or anything. Also, what about "gain" or "thru or Fx"? Does that make a difference?
Hey Chris, I would suggest to keep the IRIG 2 setting to THRU and the gain somewhere in the midlevel (so you're not too loud or quiet) - it works for me !
@@RossNewhouse Maybe do a male to male 3.5mm from the headset audio output to a computer, open up your DAW in the 2nd computer and set audio input to the headphone jack?
Love your black nail colors! 🥰
Ayy thank you

Thanks, Ross. I'm surprised it took us this long for someone to finally create a good overview of this for clubhouse. I appreciate you. Keep serving.

Ross, thanks for coming through on the Lullaby Club and especially with this tutorial!!!

Thanks bro this is by far the best tutorial all the other videos make you t seem like people need whole mixers to do this
Nah it's way easier, mixers help with monitoring but as long as your audio mix is simple then this

Would be for live (insta/TikTok etc) vocal performance

Could you go right from the interface to the phone bypassing your DAW?
Truthfully I'm not sure
Can you post a recorded session doing this so we can hear and see what it looks like running into trouble
Hey Ross, thanks for this! I'm trying to hook up my Sm7 to my phone directly through the iRig2 - is that even possible or do I need an interface?
I would think that it could work if the SM7 had an XLR to quarter inch cable, otherwise, you'd need something to plug the XLR into.
Hello, I have iRing HD . Not iRing 2 . Can i use this audio interface for Cloubhouse ?
Should work fine, I've only used the iRig2
Ross Newhouse clubnouse does not recognize IRing. and in the Promovie app it works without problems. Have you changed anything in your phone settings?
Does it work with iRig 2 HD as well?
better to just get the cheaper version
🙌
Thank you very much for the video.
Can you record clubhouse and yourself in seperate tracks this way?
I've just been using a second phone, theirs a way to with higher end equiptment but i haven't figured out the iRig way yet
