@Adoc761 You may or may not want to invest in some form of personal protection. Suggestions include • carrying a sturdy umbrella visibly in your hand. Have a practise at home swinging it at a filled sack. A predator will look for a perceived weak target. • try not to have a visible daily routine. Come and go at different times. Have different vehicles seen at your place. • Amazon sell a dye-based Personal Protection Spray. Reportedly it is legal to carry and use. If you are able to deploy this, it both stains the skin of an assailant and stings. • Lastly, let's keep an eye out for each other. Speak up on the bus, or in the supermarket queue if a young woman is being hassled. Request some back up if necessary. 🍀 The easy going characters amongst us probably didn't think it would come to this. My son is 24, he was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia in march 2021. Just received a medical card review letter this morning for the lad who is still on active treatment and will be for the foreseeable future. Rang them up to ask what's going on and they said they are reviewing his eligibility!

It does appear to be the case that modern day human trafficking under the auspices of the EU/UN/WEF conglomerate is now an offical industry. If one has thrown away all history of oneself (a bit dodgy) then that already is a crime surely in a democratic country with its own laws is it not...? And what about drugs; exploitation of labour in a growing shadow economy, illegal brothels and so on or is victimhood and the past far more important than the present and the future for those enabling the massive demographic change of a small european island nation.

@sandramercer5651 I was just thinking this same thought yesterday! America has demonstrated the impact of assisting ALL eligible persons to vote. In particular before Obama's first win. I believe voting is optional in both the UK and Ireland. Some political parties RELY on voter apathy and disengagement. In this digital age, it's not difficult to spread misinformation along the lines of 'McCready's got this one in the bag. No point turning out' or 'Polling has X party so far ahead in the majority of electorates, that we can call the winner now' 😉 > The countries where voting is compulsory are interesting to study. I believe the registered voter is fined for not presenting to vote, unless they have an accepted excuse (eg having surgery). They also permit voting prior to election day. And provide tailored services for persons who are housebound or have a disability which hinders their ability to physically come to a polling station. How about Canada?

There must be hundreds of thousands of Irish descendants in the US. I know many who would like to live in Ireland, at least part time. Not safe now, but neither is the US. Over 8 million illegals have come in under biden. The only thing that gives us hope is our Second Amendment. Wish we could bring that to Ireland. My ancestors were from Cahersiveen.
