Just started the video but I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS ON FINALLY BECOMING HUSBANDS! So happy for you guys. Loved seeing all the other ppl I follow posting over the weekend from your wedding. Love you guys
i LOVE that marvel broke the typical pattern of having the final battle be the last episode. instead it’s the penultimate episode, with the final episode being more backstory and resolution, the answers to some of our remaining questions. such a breath of fresh air
You guys got married? Oh my days! Congratulations!! 🌈 I think episode 8 is very much the finale, and episode 9 is an epilogue. Much like the last two episodes of Buffy season 4. Also, much like Buffy, they really made it clear that Thomas Shephard is a boy who has no friends, family or love in his life - a boy that was _literally_ bullied _to death._ William Kaplan was conversely a boy with a loving family, stable home and many friends. I think this parallels Buffy and Faith. Faith was written to show who and what Buffy Summer would be and become if she never had her love and support from her friends and family, and who made all the wrong decisions in life. Like seeing the two futures a person could have if they followed one of two diverging roads. Billy and Tommy are twins. And while Billy is popular, beloved and a personable character in the comics, Tommy is often forgotten or actively disliked, especially due to his very obnoxious, arrogant and antagonistic nature. Again, not unlike Buffy vs Faith. I think it’s very satisfying in a way to see that Agatha was consistently a villain. Does this make her technically the first _true_ Disney Villain we’ve had for decades? It’s also funny and ironic how Agatha in the comics was an old lady who was simply a magical babysitter and mentor to other super-powered children and witches. She then died and became a ghost, acting as Wanda’s mentor and guide on the Witches Road. Then with the popularity surge due to WandaVision, the character was brought back to life as a young woman, fully independent and with her own autonomy, now very morally ambiguous. We have the reverse in the MCU - an evil woman, Agatha antagonises Wanda, takes Billy on the Witches Road with her own goals in mind, before dying, and becoming and old lady ghost to mentor Billy. I also noted that while Agatha is coded as the Wicked Witch of the West, Billy seems to be the Wicked Witch of the East. The WWotE was a far less evil witch that terrorised Munchkinland, and is known in pop culture by her signature black and white striped stockings. Billy, from *_Eastview_* is shown to still terrorise Westview and be responsible for deaths, albeit, far less than Agatha and without deliberate intent. And he’s shown wearing a black and white striped shirt.
I work at Marvel TV, in production. This statement is WILDLY inaccurate. Episode 9 contains the information and scenes that include BILLY finding out he CREATED THE ROAD exactly like his mother CREATED the television shows that they were in. This is an essential part of HIS CHARACTER ARCH. Lastly, this final episode was one of the FIRST EPISODES WRITTEN. Why? Because this series had a start point and we needed an end point. This was it. I truly believe that you all need to look up what an “Epilogue” is. It is EXTREMELY RARE in any form of television, and almost IMPOSSIBLE in film. The Joker 2, not an epilogue- not even close. If you don’t understand the meaning of a word, stop using it.
@@joshuacoldwater What are you talking about? You’re _that_ worked up about an opinion on how someone sees the episodes? Rude. I’ve a feeling that your reply _must_ have been meant for another comment. I stated I found episode 8 to be a finale, because the story itself finished and the final battle was “won” and the conflict of the season was resolved. I felt like episode 9 was an epilogue because it was used as an appendix for Agatha’s backstory and for Billy to process what happened to him after the resolution of the conflict. An epilogue is defined as: “a piece of writing at the end of a work of literature, usually used to bring closure to the work…Epilogues are usually set in the future, after the main story is completed. Within some genres it can be used to hint at the next installment in a series of work. It is also used to satisfy the reader's curiosity and to cover any loose ends of the story.” This is literally _exactly_ what the episode does. Episode 9 functions as an effective epilogue. This is how I interpreted it. And it was compared to Buffy Season 4, where there is indeed a finale episode centering on a resolution of the season’s conflict, followed by an epilogue episode. Possibly *_The_* epilogue episode in Television. Joker 2? Who the hell was talking about Joker 2? It seems perhaps _you_ need to look up what an epilogue means. Or just chill when it comes to an opinion.
I’ve had a major crush on Joe Locke since Heartstopper premiered. But seeing him in his Wiccan costume has pushed my little gay heart over the edge. I’m now properly in love.❤️❤️
CONGRATULATIONS ON FINALLY GETTING MARRIED!!!! I’ve followed you all since Chucky season one, and it’s so nice that after so many years, you’ve finally tied the knot!!! I’m so happy for you all! And this was an amazing final two episodes!
Agatha grew a dandelion... the toughest, most stubborn, will grow any damn where it wants to, cannot kill with a stick flower you can find. Also, kids love to play with them and, fun fact, they are like the finest chocolate (or caviar) for bunnies!
I had a feeling the road was created my Billy all because of after Billy said it’s just like how I pictured it and then said Agatha’s response was yes it suits you. I thought it was a stretch but the ending confirmed it! I was shook! Can’t wait to see your reaction to episode it might make you guys cry 😢 Also congratulations on getting married guys so happy for you!!😭👏 🍾
Everybody got what they wanted at the end except Sharon. Jen got unbound. Alice found out what happened to her mother (and gets to see her again). Lilia can live her life in peace. Billy found Tommy. Agatha got her powers back.
@@DarthKay093 They were retconned in the comics specifically because the MCU didn’t have the rights to mutants but wanted to use the Twins for their universe. They were actively trying to limit new stories from the X-Men line as well, and the series fell into stagnation. After Fox was bought and the rights returned, X-Men experienced a massive resurgence. Wanda and Pietro were part of the original, founding members of Magneto’s Brotherhood of mutants. It’s even the reason Wanda’s headdress is what it is: It’s an “M” for Magneto. I’ve a feeling that Wanda and Pietro will be restored to mutant status. It’s even implied that Wanda is a mutant, and that her powers of altering probability activated after the Stark bomb hit their house. I also headcanon that the only reason she and Pietro survived the experiments with the infinity stone when all other test subjects died was indeed due to them being mutants. But there’s admittedly not much explicit evidence to support that.
5:32 Being back where they started makes sense. -Mr Shart- Sharon stated that underneath Westview is a defunct and failed underground public transport system. And Lilia and Jen saw that it was indeed there, when they sunk under the mud. This whole time, they’ve just been walking the underground tunnel of the Westview metro, with Billy using it for his Hex. Makes sense that they’d walk the entire track and come back to where they started. Never thought of that though. I was convinced the Witches Road was real, like in the comics.
Technically the witches road IS real now. Just like Wanda’s hex, Billy accidentally rewrote reality to fit what he needed most, and it even gave the fallen witches their magic back before they died. It was all very real until the end when he got rid of it again.
Yesss. I also love Sasheer and listened to a podcast about how she was pleased she got to do some dramatic moments because usually she only does comedy. And she said she wants to do more stunts. So I want to manifest Jennifer Kale appearing in the Midnight Suns movie (rumored) so she can do her stunts and fight evil and be the path ahead!
so obsessed with aubrey’s acting in this episode. so many nuances to their story and relationship painted across her face in really subtle expressions that aren’t necessarily there in the writing. like she’s trying to remain stoic, she’s death she’s supposed to be unfeeling and yet agatha still gets to her
congrats guys been here since last year and wish you guys blessings and love 😍. I hope the whole coven reunites , and this show gets more seasons its well deserved and there can't be an end to the coven.
Aubrey SERVING as always! 🖤 Alice! 😭 Jenn better scream. Scream queen 🙌🏼 Not the he’s an abomination 😢 I’d give Agatha special treatment too. I need the truth about Nicholas. Agatha remembering Nicholas 😭 Rio’s evil cackling is everything! “Congratulations my love” 🖤 Death by a thousand cuts is insane. Billy to the rescue 🙌🏼 Agatha is back baby! 💜 The Agatha/Rio showdown 🔥 The Billy/Agatha scene 🖤 A covenless witch sounds like such a diss. Agatha with the kiss of death to save Billy 🤯 That ending with Billy realizing he created the witches’ road hex/illusion!
Congratulations on your marriage, you two -- that's wonderful! This was a very satisfying episode, IMO. It was heartbreaking to see the glimpse of Alice and to see Jen and Billy mourning Lilia, but there was also enthusiastic camp with Death cackling down at Agatha from atop the roof in Westview. Agatha and Billy had some surprisingly touching interactions when discussing Tommy and Nicky, and Agatha's choice to finally re-embrace Death was well earned. It wasn't as good as episode 7, but that's more because of how good episode 7 was than because of any failure in this one. A great installment.

Something that I love about Agathario's kiss is that Agatha didn't have to kiss Rio to die, she chose to take her power while kissing Rio because in the first episode she says she can't take her power because it will kill her. Me, and many other people saw it as doing something she really wanted to do right before she died and also to say she is sorry and forgives Rio for taking her son.
