still the fact that this kid is getting drowned by bullies has to be one of the darkest moments in the MCU, that's really diving deep into the darkness of the human heart
And also that there's no one to love him... like, he was dying and no one would even care that much. Heartbreaking. No kid should have this type of life, but it's more common than we even know
Wanda created her Westview reality out of grief, tapping into her favorite shows that brought her happiness. I think when the Salem 7 scared the bejesus out of Billy, he created The Road out of pure fear and tapped into all the comforting things from his bedroom. I think most kids feel safest in their bedrooms, so my theory makes sense to me at least. lol
Rio literally cutting through the set to leave is so great. Such a brilliant way to of showing Rio’s power to literally cut through reality, and the road’s artifice with a practical set.
@@TheRavenfish9 Like last episode (or this episode? time is an illusion) when Rio said something like "You're walking with another woman's son down a road that doesn't...." and we all thought she meant "doesn't end" but of course she meant "doesn't exist."
Can we just give it up for Sasheer Zamata? In my brain coming into this show, she was “just” an SNL bit player, but she blew my doors off all throughout this show. Absolutely BODIED this role. Hope we see her Jennifer Kale back in the MCU soon!
I only know her from Home Economics. I didn't recognize her until she got the long hair in episode 3 I believe it was. I watched her in that sitcom but that's the only thing I know her from.
I find it interesting how some people are annoyed with Alice's ending - But isn't it meant to be annoying? Because life isn't always fair. So I do like that at least she went out with purpose albeit too soon.
I'm assuming you mean it's annoying that she died protecting someone who was happy to kill her. I agree it's supposed to be annoying and confirms Agatha as the villain. I'm glad they didn't try to redeem her. She wasn't a good person, although there was a sliver of humanity in her because of being a mother, which led to her sacrificing herself for Billy.
Alice's death feels heartbreaking bc she died right when her life would be about to begin. Lilia's death felt like a proper closure so it was bittersweet and fulfilling. But at least she died knowing how much her mom loved her and knowing that she defeated the curse that took her family away from her
At its core, this is a show about death in all its forms. While I was sad at the time and still am, because I liked her character, there was purpose within the story to her death. It wasn't done for shock value, it was done to both show us things about Agatha and about the overall theme.
I also somewhat wonder if that is what Alice wanted at the end of the road. She may have been blipped by Thanos only to come back and be imprisoned by Wanda's grief, and prior to that she was alone if I'm not mistaken. And in Agatha she's obliviously walking down an underground road, maybe she wanted death by then.
The absolute BEST costume reveal ever. Wiccan looks phenomenal!! And all the Easter eggs in his costume are insane! Let's just say, the designer confirmed that both Wanda and Vision are represented and always with him in his suit. And I cannot wait to see tomorrow's reaction to episode 9!!!
That's what I thought too, the road change to Billy subconscious mind, even he doesn't know it. Even when he said he wish Lilia was there, the path pop up and they were at the right entrance to agatha and Billy. And he's always the one to start the trail.
It is so sweet of you to say “thanks peaches for being patient”, but the truth is, you absolutely deserve to take time off for you & your families to be together. Enjoy those little moments that become big memories. That’s what it’s all about.
Love that you guys caught on to Agatha’s act. Rewatching this series with the context from the end makes me really see Kathryn Hahn’s incredible acting throughout this show
It wasn't a green screen. That was a practical, painted set, like Wizard of Oz. You can see it in the behind the scenes video. They didn't use the Volume or anything.
Just before they realise they've gone full circle Billy says "We're back to square one". He's literally making it up as he goes, he just doesn't know it.
i’ve seen some pretty mixed takes mostly leaning positive on this episode, i loved it. rio and agatha have insane chemistry. kathryn and aubrey’s acting choices just completely elevate the story of their relationship beyond what’s there in the writing. aubrey just eating up her performance as death oh my god the delivery of ‘im sorry i didn’t have a ribbon for you to run through’ has been stuck in my head for days
there are several hints to Billy making the road throughout the show but one of the ones that goes under the radar is that Sharon (in ep 2?) says the only thing she thought they'd find down on the Road was the unused subway system of Westview. In ep 7, Jenny and Lilia see the "Way Out" and its to an abandoned subway station. The road was both real and not real. Billy used the existing subway system to manifest the road upon
Finally, someone realises that Agatha's "con artist persona" is controlling her. She's been doing it so long, she has to actively force herself to be herself...
Agatha deal with death was if she got Billy to surrender she didn't want to see deaths face when she died, meaning Agatha wouldn't have to crossover if she chooses not to
And that, ladies and gentlebeings, is why even the Cosmic Entities (Eternity, Galactus, Death etc.) in the comics are always very, very polite to William Maximoff.

5:00 -- It's aesthetically similar to how in the mid/post-credit of DS:MoM they had Clea similarly "cut" reality so as to travel to whatever dimension(s). (Also, fun fact: the set of The Witches' Road was wholly practical: there wasn't a "green screen", as such, but the actual "screen"/background that Rio/Aubrey cut into; it's similar to how, for instance, the imagery of the beach, various houses, etc, on the road were visible images to the actors on the set and not just greenscreen'd in post -- shows like ST:SNW do similarly, albeit with a different tech approach, wherein the actors on the set actually see all the distant backgrounds that we the audience do, via on-set screens that create "x" imagery.) Also, In Re: Agatha's "sincere" voice vs her "making it up" voice later on -- the thing is, if you look back not only over AAA but also WandaVision, you'll see that when Agatha is sounding her most sincere/credible/what-have-you, *THAT'S* when she's actually being her most manipulative. In whatever moment, she may indeed even be speaking/using the truth but it's always with an end-goal of getting her way/ultimately deceiving others (again, whether what she's saying is a lie -- like when she promised Wanda that she (Agatha) would correct Wanda's hex so that the boys/Vision would be okay, but then later admitted that there was no way to do that; or when speaking to Billy as she did when she said "it should be me", which is indeed true but her saying such so as to emotionally manipulate Billy into offering himself so as to complete the deal Agatha made with Rio, etc -- or the truth, she's at her "worst" when she seems her most sincere/helpful). Minor spoiler, but you'll have already seen "x" by the time you've posted this: even Agatha taking in some of Rio's power (which killed her, as was expected), she still for that moment had some of Death's magic and is implied to have utilized it for a particular ploy... which we see at the end here and more so in the next episode.
Love when you said "thats her making up stuff voice" bc absolutely. Billy was about to give himself up, which was what Rio needed him to do. Turning on her evil persona made him second guess himself. But then would she really have left him there? I don't think we're supposed to know and that's ok. That's not the choice she made in the end. And then Billy "im not that nice" Maximoff effectively manipulating her into sacrificing herself for him? Wild. This scene puts them both in such interesting conflict. Great reaction guys!
Rio slicing into the backdrop was a cool way to hint at it all being fake. She knew the road didn't exist until the 16 year old son of Scarlet Witch manifested it subconsciously with his chaos magic. Everything that happened on the road was real, but how they all got there was all Billy's doing.
Billy getting into the Subaru in his super suit and driving away is low-key one of my favorite bits in the show. Also, what do you imagine he told the Kaplans (not to mention his boyfriend) about where he’d been? And how did they not ground him and take away the car keys? 😅
fun (and super upsetting) fact: the line "I think I'll miss you most of all" was left over from a deleted love story sub plot between Dorthy and Scarecrow. They decided to leave out that interspecies (is a sentient scarecrow a species?) love story after already shooting a bunch of the scenes.
The ‘cheap’ effect of Rio, leaving the road is a deliberate clue. It’s a clue to the ‘fake’ nature of the road.
They are under the basement 😅😅

And then Billy "im not that nice" Maximoff effectively manipulating her into sacrificing herself for him? Wild. This scene puts them both in such interesting conflict. Great reaction guys!
FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for yall!
Awesome episode. Almost worthy of the greatest tv show of all times, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I luv that I wasn't the only one that was like, did he just 'drive' away.
Rio slicing into the backdrop was a cool way to hint at it all being fake. She knew the road didn't exist until the 16 year old son of Scarlet Witch manifested it subconsciously with his chaos magic. Everything that happened on the road was real, but how they all got there was all Billy's doing.
lmao the way your jaws dropped at the EXACT same time at 12:14 😂😂
Billy getting into the Subaru in his super suit and driving away is low-key one of my favorite bits in the show.
Also, what do you imagine he told the Kaplans (not to mention his boyfriend) about where he’d been? And how did they not ground him and take away the car keys? 😅
I have been waiting for you two, my loves. My favourite reaction channel
I love your guys friendship with late 2 the party. Two of my favorite reactor channels in symbiosis.
Deaths face is all practical 😮
fun (and super upsetting) fact: the line "I think I'll miss you most of all" was left over from a deleted love story sub plot between Dorthy and Scarecrow. They decided to leave out that interspecies (is a sentient scarecrow a species?) love story after already shooting a bunch of the scenes.
your reactions are the best! worth the wait
These last 2 episodes were so good! In my opinion this show belongs at the top with the greatest! You’re guys reactions are amazing and so heartfelt
That Buffy comment was repulsive. I will never trust Jay’s opinion on fuckall now.
Been looking forward to this.😊
15:48 well the way he leaves Westview is the exact same scene almost shot for shot how Wanda left
Getting to rewatch the reveals and twists through your facial rollercoasters was great :D
