Love it! I'm doing my PhD candidacy exam in a few months, so I'm going back to the basics to make sure I fully understand everything from the ground up. This series looks like exactly what I need.
Great coming back to biochemistry 👍 I am also excited to inform you that your channel is recently mentioned and recommended by another channel called 'That chemist' in a video about vitamins and their biochemical properties specifically regarding Niacin and Folate during 20:53 and 29:23 respectively. My friend has gone worldwide 🎉🥳
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis your kindness is a role model! Thank you for always dedicating time for replying to each and every comment, that's an effort hardly done by any other.
Thank you so much for this but I really need simple explanation why the DNA synthesis only happens at 5>3 organic chemistry wise the bonds and the others
Excelent lecture. But I didn't understood something. There is Adenosine and Guanosine wich happens when you have a ribose and purines. But Riboses are only present in RNA . So how we find purines in DNA? You showed deoxyriboses linked to pyrimidines only.
I think deoxyribose as oxygen is reactive so less oxygen means a less reactive molecule, also dna has to last for the duration of the cell life whereas rna has a much shorter lifespan

Glad it was helpful!
This is SO good. Thank you!! Give me so much confidence to pass biochem fr.
I wish you success!
Excellent. First time I have heard about the potential energy stored in successive PO4- in ATP. Well done.
Thank you!

I have question for you over lungs,.will lung ever re grown after pneumonectomy ?
Thanks very much 😊
You're welcome!
I'm sorry, what is the previous videos? Are they systematically listed in the playlist?
Why you wrote oxygen on carbon 2 in pentose sugar for deoxyribose 9:29?
He meant to call it Ribose and not deoxyribose
can you tell me please which one is more stable (ribose or deoxyribose) or we can say RNA or DNA?
I think deoxyribose as oxygen is reactive so less oxygen means a less reactive molecule, also dna has to last for the duration of the cell life whereas rna has a much shorter lifespan

DNA polymerase is specific to the 3’. Remember it’s an enzyme.
