    yum your shawarma is so saucy and nicely stuffed! That's a dream come true right here! Love it, perfectly seasoned chicken and so tender, yum! And yeah I've had some bad shawarmas when I've had them out, the chicken is so bland or the bread is soggy!

    Is the garlic sauce just garlic and yogurt? Also, how do you make the chili sauce?

    • @HungryManKitchen
      @HungryManKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's the Lebanese style garlic sauce: lots of garlic, veg oil, lemon and salt. I will post a recipe for that as well. You can use a moderate amount of sriracha sauce for chili sauce.

    • @egemensentin
      @egemensentin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Lebanese call this sauce “toum”. Hope this helps.

    Great stuff thank you! Do you know if there is a good substitute for the yoghurt? A non dairy substitute that is..

    • @HungryManKitchen
      @HungryManKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I would use lemon juice and / or onion juice if I had to avoid dairy products here. Most people would use coconut yogurt / milk, but I'm not sure how it would affect the final taste. I would assume it would be more Asian than Middle Eastern then :) Please let me know if you try it!

    My husband once took me to a shawarma place in Perth West Australia where the wrapped the shawarma with cheese and a fried egg. I have never been able to recreate this. Is there a way to tightly wrap everything so that it stays together?

    • @HungryManKitchen
      @HungryManKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are using lavash or similar thin flatbread make sure to make it a bit soft with steam or the sauce of the fillings. An easy way is to wrap it together with a baking sheet so it holds everything together firmly. First bring the sides together to close the ends, then start rolling firmly to wrap them tightly.

  • @SirMouselot
    @SirMouselot 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great final touch frying the wrap to hold it together l wonder if this chef is married and if not how much dowery does he require because marrying him would be a delicious experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖for those who have their minds in the gutters Sir Bandit is my cat 😬😻😸

    imagine being turkish and referring to döner as ‘shawarma’. this is why we cant have nice things. have some respect for your own cultural food please.

  • @xiaotuzi.fnb1
    @xiaotuzi.fnb1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    i am sure 100% sure it is a delicious marinate but why shawarma has to be always an indian spice mix 😏😏😏🌶

  • @verbummentis
    @verbummentis ปีที่แล้ว

    As a Turkish, you know the word shawarmais from the turkish word chevirme, which is another word for doner.
