    Very tasty recipe! In Egypt, chicken shawarma is traditionally served with thoum and pickles. I'm curious what they serve it with in Lebanon and also what they serve beef and lamb shawarma with.

      Thank you ! We eat chicken shawarma the same way in Lebanon. We serve the beef and lamb shawarma as shown in the video,with tahini and onions with sumac and mint .how do you eat it in Egypt?

    Maha,
    - can I substitute lemon juice for apple cider vinegar?
    - can I use the same exact ingredients for making chicken schwarma?

    • @mahaslebanesecuisine
      @mahaslebanesecuisine  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have to substitute the apple cider vinegar you can leave it out or use red wine . No you can’t,The spices are different for the chicken shawarma ,Chicken shawarma video is coming soon.💕💕

    What is the spice mistika? Any english name for it?

    • @mahaslebanesecuisine
      @mahaslebanesecuisine  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a very traditional spice in the Middle East. You can just Google mastic space and you’ll find plenty of options.

      I’m not 100% sure, but most of what I hear is it’s from Lebanon. Most likely another version of the Turkish Gyro

    • @mahaslebanesecuisine
      @mahaslebanesecuisine  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a traditional spice that comes from the sap that is collected and dried from a mastic tree. Mistika is also known as misk.

      Hello yes it’s mastic. Sometimes called Arabic gum. You should be able to find it online.
