Thanks Rogr 👍🏻 That interesting because myself and Clare both wondered how people managed this journey before motorways. Perhaps the A38? Later into the journey the van sat quite comfortably around 60 mph. Also sitting behind a lorry made a big difference with the slip stream and reduced wind noise. Although not the best view 😂
@@surfingsteven1624 🤣 managed to get there in one hit absolutely fine. But once we actually wanted to mooch around the towns the coil/dizzy and carb had other ideas 🤣
@@Aircooled_Adventurers that’s the trouble isn’t it. Once we made it there, the van stayed put on the camp site and we sometimes caught the bus into town. St Ives is a nightmare for finding parking on a summers weekend. Can’t imagine the stress looking for a suitable spot in a split 🙈 and then leaving it unattended 😂
Lovely video again, many a time did the trip from St Ives to Sowerby Bridge and Halifax so brought back memories and thank you.
You will have to change the genny to an altinator .
What an amazing road trip video mate probably my favourite but you only had a little problem.
Thanks North Bay 🤙🏻 It was such a long day. Around 16 hours in total and this trip can be done in just 6.5hrs in a regular car without issues 😅
Dont worry about traveling at 50mph we used to do it at that speed in the70s and the 80s the best stop was Exeter servies.

Done this trip a few times in my bay window. Definitely takes some time at 50!
Was it as traumatic for you as it was for me? 😂 I loved every minute but I had T4 envy every now and then!
