Thank you both for another lovely video, St Just is such a sweet village again many a wonderful memory brought back, thank you. By the way Janner is Cornish for John.
Thanks, so glad you like them 🙂 Total fuel spend was £218.19. We arrived home with just over half a tank of fuel remaining. So the true figure of fuel cost is more likely to be around £195.00 of fuel actually used 🤔. 6 full up’s in total (inc start of journey) at mostly motorway services so the cost per litre is quite a bit higher than supermarkets. I also filled up with ‘Supreme’ 95 octane fuel were possible but that isn’t essential. Re over-heating, the engine was perfectly fine. My tips for a long journey are: - Service your engine before leaving I.e. oil, s plugs, valve adjustment, timing check, fuel/air mix of carb if needed, ensure all tinware / seals are in place & your fan shroud thermostat is working normal (if you have one fitted). That will ensure your engine gets cool air running over the cylinder heads and stays cool. - If you hit a traffic jam, pull over if it’s safe and switch off the engine until your back on the road. Stationary running is no good for an air cooled without air passing through the fins. - Correct tyre pressure Hope this helps 🤙🏻
