Lash Paradise is the best mascara!
Practically everything in the world is owned by about 5 large companies. We think we have choices among the store brands but we really don't. Best to buy local or small business.

My first memories of make up are Maybelline's mascara in a little red case with a brush.
When I was a kid, Maybelline still sold the cake mascara. Don't quite remember, but it may have been the first I used when I was permitted to wear makeup. Wand mascara was a real breakthrough and I loved Helena Rubenstein metal wand design - I found it much better than the brush styes that followed.

I used their "Dial A Lash" mascara back in high school. Loved it.
I thought it was so cool.
When I used Dial A Lash, I used the lowest setting as a base, and then went with a higher number for the second coat.
I wish they can bring back dial a lash.
I was using Maybelline mascara 43 years ago. Great Lash also! The best mascara I ever used though was Elizabeth Arden. It's insanity trying to decide on a mascara these days! Way too many brands, varieties to choose from. Looking just for a black one you have Black, Blackest Black, Black Noir, Midnight Black...etc.. I mean really? These days I like L'Oreal lash paradise. Thank you Laura! 💗

Maybelline full and soft to me was a game changer. I remember Sara Michelle Geller was the model for it. It made it look like your where wearing false lashes.

My mom loved dial a lash, I still remember it and playing with it when I was a kid. She would get so mad haha. She misses it still.
I actually like Great Lash Waterproof mascara. There are better choices these days but I like how it makes my lashes stand out without being dramatic. I like having the 'natural' look.
I still use Ultra Brow powder and I only find it in Wal-Mart.

The Great Lash kit was my first makeup gift! Maybelline New York’s EYESTUDIO quads were the best pigmented eyeshadows I ever used. I don’t understand why they discontinued them..
My big sister purchased me my first mascara. In a cake, with a brush. It was 1979. Yes, 1979. 44 years ago. Tube mascara with three times the price of this thick block of black muck. The sales lady said to lick the brush, rub it in the muck and apply to my lashes. Such was the beauty advise back then. New Zealand. Unforgettable.
I recently watched the film “Gentleman Prefer Blondes” with Marilyn and Jane, and I was mesmerized by Jane Russell’s beautiful red nail polish.
I tried to find out which shade and brand was used, but I was unable to find that out.
Does anyone know?

After watching the film, I applied Revlon “Valentine” which is beautiful. Revlon is such a great brand, sadly less hyped these days - but the quality is there.
My very first makeup was Maybelline Shine Free. It had such cute packaging with mini blush, eyeshadows, mascaras and the cutest little lipsticks. All in lilac and pink packaging. Would love to see those products again! I think I discovered them just as they were ending.
Thank you for this interesting video. It would be great to have some vintage products available today. I can remember being very young and seeing Max Factor's block mascara on sale in a blue box. My first mascara which I used for years was Max Factor's Brush Tip, it was made from bees wax and curled back your lashes beautifully without budging until you removed it. I've never been a fan of Great Lash though I know it has been loved for decades. I do love many other Maybelline mascaras available today and their other products.

I remember when their TV ads would always end with the tagline “fine eye makeup, sensibly priced.”
I love several high end foundations, but the Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation is literally one of the best out there. And for $7-8/bottle, you can't go wrong.
I also buy the Maybelline Express Brow brow pencil. It's a solid dupe for the ABH, and it's 1/3 the price. And the Master Precise all day liquid eyeliner is another solid product. I've been using it for years. I love a good felt tip liquid eyeliner. It's so easy to get a smooth, tight line with it, and it doesn't budge.
I'm not a big fan of the Great Lash personally, but I know a lot of professional MUAs use it, so they must be doing h?

Laura did one quite a while back showing exclusively Avon products , and it was quite long and quite nice, it was a deep dive look. One of my favorites among many videos here. I remember it had lots of bubble baths and a stroll through a big catalogue.

I always loved Mabelline’s eye liner.
I loved Max Factor 2,000-calorie mascara! The best mascara ever made!!! I think it had Little Fibers in it? Why was it ever discontinued? Are used that from the 1980s till about 2005.

A majority of my makeup is high end but..(with exception of my 7 MAC lipsticks) when it comes to loose finishing face powder (fit me poreless) and moisturizing lipsticks its Maybelline all the way ❤❤❤❤. Anyone remember the "moist and wet" ads with Lynda Carter?? The things they got away with😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
