Kiya Mein Ne Uss Khakdan Se Kinara
Jahan Rizq Kanaam Hai Aab-o-Dana
I have turned away from that place on earth
Where sustenance takes the form of grain and water.
Bayaban Ki Khalwat Khush Ati Hai Mujh Ko
Azal Se Hai Fitrat Meri Rahbana
The solitude of the wilderness pleases me-
By nature I was always a hermit-
Na Bad-e-Bahari, Na Gulcheen, Na Bulbul
Na Beemari-e-Naghma-e-Ashiqana
No spring breeze, no one plucking roses, no nightingale,
And no sickness of the songs of love!
Khayabanion Se Hai Parhaiz Lazim
Adaen Hain In Ki Bohat Dilbarana
One must shun the garden‐dwellers-
They have such seductive charms!
Hawa-e-Bayaban Se Hoti Hai Kari
Jawan Mard Ki Zarbat-e-Ghaziyana
The wind of the desert is what gives
The stroke of the brave youth fighting in battle its effect.
Hamam-o-Kabootar Ka Bhooka Nahin Main

Iqbal was an atheist, he didn't believe in jannat/dozakh. He was a Muslim nationalist. He believed that like Hindus, Muslims should also have a sense of nationalism. However, he rejected the religious belief system of Islam as he found it backward.

Allama iqbal was a mystique man..his poetry resembled khushal khan khattak 's alot..But allama iqbal was a true visionary and an ideaologist...he had an aura of mystery around him n he used his poetry for islam.His poetry wasnt wasted.

Ek "Sacha Mussalman aur Kamil Insaan" bilkul Shaheen ki tarah kamzor janvaron aur unkay bachon ki chir phar kar k unka gosht Khata aur apnay bachon ka pait palta hai. Alhamdolillah Iqbal ka dain hai k roz-e-awal say Pakistan ki baag dor Shaheenon k punjon mai rahi hai. Masalan Ayub, Bhutto, Zia, Sharif khandan, Zardari, Musharraf va ghaira. This is without any doubt Hadrat Allama Iqbal's considered opinion and advice to Pakistani youth about aql (intellect, rationality and logic).
