    There is no factory siping on those km3s. Those are just smaller grooves. Tire sipes don't remove material they are just slits in the tread block. Think of a snow tire. You can get tour tires siped and it does help notciably in wet or icy weather.

    I love the look and performance of both these tires for true rock or mud applications. But as I get older I have gotten to love things that are more practical and work better. My go to tire now is the Michelin Defender LTX. It does better in snow than both of the mentioned tires. Does better in ice than both the mentioned tires. And gets me through 99% of what am overland we would go through without a hickup. But for true rock crawler or mudder the BFG tires mentioned are definitely better.

      I hear ya! I have the Mich Defenders on my LX570, and great 75k warranty. Usually they are done at 45k, withba heavy SUV, but I get 40% off a new set, warranties by Michelin.

      Are you sure they are better than the KO2s? They have a snow tire rating.

      @muchless ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrWhoevr look into the 3 peak rating. It's pretty weak. It just tests acceleration.

    I like to know how many inch lift set up in your land cruiser and what others mods that you have done to fit those tires.

    • @CruisingTheLand
      @CruisingTheLand  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you need a 2.5" lift or more for 35" tires.

    All your trucks look clean! What do you do? Do you take them somewhere or wash em yourself?

    • @CruisingTheLand
      @CruisingTheLand  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use car covers. I wash them max 2 times a year. Check out the video I just put out on my channel about the car covers. they are 130 shipped and the best. Had then 2 years+ now.

    • @muchless
      @muchless ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Will do, thanks! That's pretty convenient. When you do wash them, do you do it by hand?

    Great vid and I'm closer to deciding for my next tires. I live in Hawaii in an area where there is not much rain. I have had K02's which lasted 7+ years and almost 50k miles (unreal). I want a more aggressive look , I do little off roading so do I go with KM3s that look better or K02's that provide better ride and longevity (and are cheaper)? Kinda a no brainer but would like to hear thoughts??

    • @EpitomePax
      @EpitomePax ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, you’re supposed to change your tires every 5 years, so if you only put on 7,000 miles a year on your ko2’s then the km3s will last you all 5 years 🤙🏽
      (I’m Also from Hawaii haha)

      So which tire did you end up getting? Have always good luck with Mickey Thompson’s on my taco. Upgraded to a F150. Wanted to go KM3 but concerned about wet roads. Truck not my daily and do light off-roading bc we dirt bike for our off road adrenaline rush. Also from Hawaii! Yessah!

    Stupid comment that peoolw do nit evee use pizza cutter barriqer tires to go offriading. Lots of overlanders in austtalia run 245 to 255 wide pizza cutter size tires.
