I'm on a build now, 04 Sequoia and these will be the legs! I've been the 80 series best fan, when I felt the power of the 4.7, and the similarity to the cruncher??? Had to take it on.
Hi Michael & Corrie, all of my favorite TH-camrs were there at Lake Tahoe at the BFG KM3 review and trial. Your review was awesome. I appreciate your detailed comments and observations. If I hadn't already decided to purchase the KM3's after my 2's were spent I would have today. Thanks for your insights.
The BFG's are great! I'm glad they gave you a new setup. I've been considering there tires for some time now. This video has me sold on the MT's. Thank you and BFG for being good sports!👍
Great video with some added humour :-). I switched from Duratracs to K02's for the last few weeks of winter in Ontario, Canada, was a huge improvement in snow. Waiting for someone to do a real world review on the KM3's in snow. As a wildlife photograph that does 15,000km in back road (many unplowed) and snow as deep as 6-10" great tires are very important!!! Running a JKU with lift and 35's, the option for skinny snow/ice tires is out of the question. Yes BFG, you can send me a set to test this coming winter :-)
Great review sir! All of my questions have been answered. When my new Pro Comp MT2s wear out I will look into these. Well, depending on what my wholesale cost is, lol. I'm still cheap.
Trying to pic my next tire and this is helpful. I purchased my first Bf Goodrich MT tires in 1981....for my 1980 Toyota 4x4. I've tried numerous other brands over the years, including Nitto, Toyo, Cooper. Looking to go back to my "roots". Thanks.
Mike I work in the oil fields south west Colorado, north west New Mexico this area would a be a real world test on oil field trucks.the trucks are 1/2 ton,3/4 ton trucks .the terrain is of all seasons.
The KM3s are specifically designed for mud and clay, but as with all tires, there are limits (which I've found). I can't compare with the Coopers - I have no experience with them, but have always been satisfied with the KM3s.
Great video and information. I was on the fence about getting a set of KM3's, but you answered all of my questions in the video, I'm definitely consider these on my list.
Good review. I will for sure look at more KM3 reviews and consider them as my next tire. I am having pretty good luck with my Nitto’s but they are beginning to get a bit louder the more they wear.
AECVV I lowered mine to 25-16, but I have 20’s. It didn’t bulge as much as his. My tire size is a 285 65 20. 16 on technical/hard climbs and 25 great on gravel/ bumpy roads and still drive ok in payment if your compressor goes out.
Hello, my Jeep curb weight 4277 lbs. and I have new bfg’s km3’s, 7.50r/16 E, tires. Roughly 31.5”’s tall x 7.5”’s wide. Could you give a starting pressure for traveling gravel roads? The tires max psi is 80 stated on the tires. Thank you, just found your channel, love the content!!!
Overland Bound could you run these tires on stock 80 with no lift, no spacers? With 16x8 wheels? Will they rub when wheelin’? Thank you and appreciate it!
How does balancing them seem to be? I have had good luck with my KO2s, but hear others complaining all the time about how unbalanced they get. Any issues with these KM3s?
Overland Bound because no one has replied to your comment (ironically) I will. I was up at the top of the mountain a few weeks back yelling for you guys and you never responded. On the bright side, your comment about the cell signal from Bear Valley holds true. We were lucky to make it to the top in some pretty thick mud and snow. I have to vouch for the video and point out it is hard to do justice to the steepness of incline with a video. Great review... Keep them coming.
Hi Michael, I'm member #11286. I wander, why you air down your tires at different pressures, front and rear, when your vehicle is Full Time 4 wheel drive? Are they not supposed to be the same? I own a Lexus GX470 (Land Cruiser Prado) which is Full Time 4x4 too, and the indicated pressures for front and rear are the same. As far as I know, differences in air tire pressure can hurt the transfer case and transmission. I really enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Thanks for watching you guys! I hope it is useful!
Quieter on the pavement?
It was the deep snow test that sold me..
This tire review of this tire should be the benchmark of all off road tire tests. EXCELLENT!
Mike..I left some snarky comments on yr last vid re: not seeing actual tire assessment..I take it all back..great review.
You were about to sell me on BFG tires until you backed off swinging that axe.
Haha
Toyota is looking awesome😎
Nice video, thanks
How do these compare to the BFG AT tires?
How often do you rotate these tires? and what rotation pattern?
Great review, and really appreciate the transparency. Excellent work!

HAHAHA, that was fun, KM3 definitely a great tire.

Good review, well done! Looks like a pretty area that you drove too!

Great image stabilization on the front bumper view

HAHAHA that snow performance is amazing!! Great video!
Fresh new tires at your door...must be nice!..I love my Ko2’s

Man, I miss my 80 series.....
How these tires perform in deep mud or clay??
I can’t decide between KM3s or Cooper STT PROs.
The KM3s are specifically designed for mud and clay, but as with all tires, there are limits (which I've found). I can't compare with the Coopers - I have no experience with them, but have always been satisfied with the KM3s.
Overland Bound where I am the mud is very sticky so I’m curious.
Thank you very much.

Is that a bottle opener on the bumper 🤘🏻
What is the size of your tires?
315/75R16
Saw you guys when you were headed down i was headed up to lake alpine. Keep the videos coming love watching.
Awesome! Thanks for watching! Will do!
Was that near San Diego California?
Km3 vs. ko2?
Was this episode shot at Corral Hollow OHV Trailhead, 7N35?
Michael, how are the tires holding up? Millage? KO2 are out of stock regionally, my look at these instead. Thanks.
What size tire are you running.. sorry if this has been covered..
Are these louder or quieter than the KM2’s on pavement?
Quieter
Great vid
Good review. I will for sure look at more KM3 reviews and consider them as my next tire. I am having pretty good luck with my Nitto’s but they are beginning to get a bit louder the more they wear.
what air pressure where you running?
I understand that the wheels, according to the terrain, have to use different pressures. What would those variations be for a Tundra CrewMax?

Do u have them wheels balanced with regular lead weights or beads inside of tire?
Regular lead. Balanced pretty easy.
Greta video ! Thanks !
Do the km3 bag out similarly to the km2 when aired down, or do they have a stiffer sidewall?
Not sure. I get what I expect on 314/76R16s

What trails are those

Most excellent review
SOLD! I am going to get a set of Maxxis Trepadors lol
I tried to contact Overland Bound to get info on their club and excursions. I got no response at all. Pretty sad.
Where?

What size were those km3s??
Bill #9810
315/75r16! 👊🏼👍🏼
Overland Bound what size lift suspension? 2" lift packet or 4" lift packet ?

I do it because of the different load on front and rear. I'm so much heavier in the back I try to get the same "patch" size on the ground.
I’m sold
whats that rear wheel bag?
GhostWild Outdoors!
ah nice! sold out tho! :(
Video is awfully dark. Actual content is top notch though.
Second
You are first! I don't count!
17/32 new seems lame to me.
Great video. I'm work camping not far from Rubicon, if you head back up this way shoot me an email. #6404
What size tire are you running?
315/75r16
did you find it necessary to re gear to run tires that size?
