I have been sewing for 2 years. I classify myself as a "confident beginner." This sewing pattern made me feel like an expert! I truly cannot rave enough about the entirety of this project. I used my normal size when sizing this pattern. The instructions on the pattern pieces were clear and concise. The instruction manual was great to reference alongside this video in case of any hiccups. I have already made two pairs of these pants and they are FLAWLESS. Total project time from start to finish is 2.5 hours. Truly, I can't say enough good things about this project. BUY THE PATTERN AND MAKE THE PANTS! YOU WONT REGRET IT
I am in the middle of working on this project. This is really a great video. It would’ve been a little bit helpful to see all of your pattern pieces properly cut out on the fabric or at least the layout. Instead of just starting with the pieces already cut.I hope that makes sense. But you did a really good job.
I came online looking for some guidance about cutting out the pattern pieces to sort out a couple questions I'm having. This would have been super helpful!
I just made my own pair. I’m a beginner and it took me 2.5 days to make. I used a cotton linen blend. Thank you so much for this pattern and video tutorial! The written instructions was also very easy to follow. I will make more pairs in the future! 😍 PS: I recommend printing the pattern as A0! It’s way easier to put together. PPS: The hardest part for me was turning the strap inside out 😂
I recently discovered your channel. I want to thank you for having such a great size range for your patterns. Also this was such a fun tutorial! Thanks again.
I bought this pattern! Going over the directions, I was wondering if you have a video on cutting the fabric itself out? Sorry if this is a little silly, I just am not yet familiar with the sewing lingo yet as a newbie
Just made my first lane pants, love them! Perfect amount of width in legs ❤ Excited to hack the pattern for a more tapered version, trying to follow your recommendations on other video!
I discovered you on Instagram and love your approach to sewing! So excited for your new youtube channel and can't wait to follow your new journey here. Loving this content❤
The pocket bag is already confusing me. Was it supposed to be 2 cut on the fold instead of mirrored? I cut mine mirrored as the pattern states and my pockets don't look like yours. The notches only line up if i fold it in half from top to bottom (does that make sense)?
Overly confident pregnant 🤰 beginner here, thinking about hacking the wasitband to have a wide shirred band on top instead of traditional elastic 🤔. I need comfy pants and maternity jeans are giving me the ick. Would this be a bad idea?
I bought this pattern, haven't made them yet, i know i am going to love them, though. I DESPISE jeans.. I'm also going to try to put in a zipper instead of elastic on the 2nd pair i make. A waiste band with a zipper fly front pattern would be welcomed 😊
My only constructive criticism to this video is that it would have been nice to have seen this demonstrated with a fabric that has a clearer right and wrong side. As a beginner, I had to watch the pockets part a few times!
If anyone has advice about this elastic prob, I'd appreciate it: I tried on the pants with the elastic to make sure it was correct size. When I went to stretch out the elastic and topstitch 1/4 and 1 3/8, the elastci didn't maintain its stretch, so now the waistband is way to big. Any help?
this same thing happen to me :( the pattern and tutorial were great otherwise and ive already made the syd tie top and a dress. i was getting so excited doing the finishing touches and had already tried the pants on three times to triple check it was right. Now im pretty disappointed and gonna hem them to fit my husband for some house pants because they are way to big for me to even fix with a drawstring... ugh. next pair ill try to adjust for how much it stretched out
Hi! I'm a beginner too, but I believe it would work if you took down like 2 inches (or about 5cm) from the waistline. Not exactly lowering the waistline, more like cutting off those inches/cm. That way you would give it a lower waist while also *adapting* the original shape of the pattern to the one you want to make. I don't know if I managed to explain this well (apart from being a beginner at sewing, english is not my first language lol), but I hope you can understand. Maybe someone more experienced could help here too!!
I recently made a tapered pair and showed how I redrew the lines in this video! th-cam.com/video/IJVxjb7yzRQ/w-d-xo.html - check the description for timestamps so you can jump to the right spot!
Hi Sydney, I purchased the PDF pattern and it does not match up 😔 and therefore I can’t move on to cutting/sewing. Do you provide help to customers with this part?

How did you cut your pocket bag? I followed the pattern instructions and cut 2 mirrored, but then my pockets don't look like her's in the video.

This is a great tutorial for a lovely pattern. Thank you so much for making the time to make them both!
So happy you made a video but a lot of it was fast/difficult to see, especially the pocket section which is the part I was hoping to get help with 😢

This is such a good tutorial!! Really appreciate all the work you put in. This will be my first garment project and I cannot WAIT to try it

They’re so pretty! I just got the prettiest gingham fabric for my birthday that will be perfect for these! So excited to get the pattern!!
Thank you for the pattern and the incredible tutorial. I made them into pjs for my first attempt. Looking forward to making them in a linen blend.
I saw these on Instagram via Blackbird fabrics. I can't wait to make a pair! Very well done!
They look so nice !! Thank you for your tutorial, it as very well made ! I'll try to make them eventually !!!
Super cute pants! (Look at the *camera*!) 🙃
I love this so much, they look super comfortable! 😍

This was so helpful! Can you make a video about the dresses on your tik toc, so I can make one for my wife?
I’m working on the patterns now!

Thats awesome, how did that come out?

Just bought the pdf!
I consider myself to be a confident beginner but then I realized I don't even know what a bias is 😂😅
How do I know I have the pockets flipping right side out
If anyone has advice about this elastic prob, I'd appreciate it: I tried on the pants with the elastic to make sure it was correct size. When I went to stretch out the elastic and topstitch 1/4 and 1 3/8, the elastci didn't maintain its stretch, so now the waistband is way to big. Any help?

How could I make these lower waisted instead of high?

Can you make a video without the pockets? I cannot follow the steps at all since I don’t won’t pockets it doesn’t come together at all
How can I hack the pattern for more of a taper pant? 🥺🙏
I recently made a tapered pair and showed how I redrew the lines in this video! th-cam.com/video/IJVxjb7yzRQ/w-d-xo.html - check the description for timestamps so you can jump to the right spot!
I sew my pants almost the same way.
