This performance makes me feel proud of my Scottish heritage i never had....
Me too and I'm a girl from Serbia 😁
Just love to see men, singing like this. You don’t see it often in USA. My dad sang, my husband sang…..brings back beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing.
My Dad sang many tunes to me and my brother. So did my Mom. Wishing to hear some female voices here from time to time.
Makes you proud to be Scottish! Great to hear a Scottish song sung so well! Brilliant!
We sang this on Loch Lomond - it is beautiful story about a Jacobite who gives his life for a younger man.
The soloist has a beautiful voice
When I was in Catholic school we used to sing, "You'll take the high mass and I'll take the low mass, and I'll be at breakfast before yeh...!"
As a former Catholic school girl whose Father (in his beautiful tenor, used to sing Loch Lomond to me) 🤣
Holy crap me too .
3rd grade Sr. Joselita had us singing constantly . 1 of her favorites was Old Black Joe . I hear the gentle voices singing , Il Black Joe .
What happened man ?
Kids dont sing in grammar school no more ?
Fuckin pathetic !
Thats Great
I went to a Catholic school and I’ve never hated such a dump of a place in my life. Hate them all
Since celtic last won a european knockout after xmas (2004)
Rangers have been in
Champions league last 16 (2006)
Uefa cup final (2008)
Thr bottom of scottish football and back ( 2013-2017)
Europa league last 16 (2020 & 2021)
Europa league quarter final (2022)
i love how they’re all smiling at the end :)
I just stumbled upon the Rocky road to Dublin just in time to see they uploaded again about an hour ago?! Yessss 💪
When i was a young boy i went to upper Canada village one time i heard this song outside of pub that was the time i heard this song and absolutely loved it shout out to the Scottish we love you here lads cheers to you lads
Love this in a pub - sounds wonderful lads. This arrangement by Jonathan Quick from Canada is a great one.
Such great harmony and spirit! Thank you!
Very good 👍 As a born n bred Loch Lomond’er you get my seal of approval
I'm from Germany and only recently heard of this song by singing it in music class, but I've been in love ever since.
When you´re from Germany you should know, that the FC Köln stole this melody for their Anthem "Mer stonn zo dir, FC Kölle"
Thanks for throwing a bone to the Scottish:) love you guys!
I once was on a regional bus leaving Stockholm for home (45m away), and the unusually full bus held a good choir heading to a conference center for a getaway weekend. They sang the whole trip and I rode much further than usual, because the looping bus route gave me a longer but easily doable walk home through the forest.
It's these serendipitous concerts that are always the best, always joyous.
Such a privilege to hear the cream of Irish youth harmonize such a Green tradition.
My dad 30 years ago used to hum this and explained what the chorus meant. He doesnt ever remember anything like that, but I do. I sing this to completion to my nieces sometimes much to their chagrin, but our thing.
It is the hymn of the FC Cologne from Germany and voted recently as the best hymn of all german football clubs. Intersting to see the roots of my favourite club anthem! ❤🤍
Gave me chills. Glad I found this channel!
Holy shit I was pretty sure this exact arrangement is one we performed in high school, but once the 'dai dot. dot da dai dai dot' kicked in that's 100% the one we did, I'm sure of it. It's so good to hear it again!
I believe this is Jonathan Quicks arrangement. Would love to see that credit in the description! Great choral arranger .
Why is this not on Spotify???
I wanna listen to it even without Internet access, that was amazing
I sang this on my last day in high school as a farewell to the school, and if I'm being honest, my gf at the time. Legitimately one of my favorite songs of all time.
I was at Loch Lomand over the summer, it was beautiful.
1:04 solos mean time enough to grab a drink
Three quarters of the pub taken by these lads. ❤️
A night at the pub. Gotta love it. Good on ya boys.
My Father and Myself pipped my Great Grandmother out to this song when I was 8 years old, that was 38 years ago. It’s absolutely lovely so see life in traditional Music again, thank you.
How many songs where recorded from the Stag's Head? These are marvelous! I hope there is more to come👍🏻
Let's just hope they'll be there when somebody of us visit the pub..even tho I live half a Europe away...I plan to come.
@@ylcatas7329 went there couple years before covid and then again last year.
Sadly no live music both times :(
All of them?
Terrific acoustics
A capella is such a great experience to witness and hear. I love being able to see this!!!
Bin zufällig auf das Lied gestoßen. Ich finde es Mega schön 😊
the Avengers: getting ready to go back in time to save the universe
me: wait I need one of those gizmos
them: why
me: there's this pub night I missed
I was singing this while walking the west highland way with one of my best mates a few years back, didn't realise it was called Loch Lomond (I only new some of it by memory). For those of you who don't know the west highland way walks the banks of Loch Lomond. Hearing you guys sing it gives me the chills.
Amazing ! Very poignant to me !! My Dad a Scotsman, used to sing it to us when he had , had, a wee dram or two X
Happy to see the audience actually enjoying it
That's the craic fellas. I wish me mates would even troy! Grand fellas!Absolutely grande!!
love scottish shanties!! cheers from england 🎉🍻
Beautiful! My mother used to sing this to me as a lullaby.
This gave me chills for some reason. ❤
Loch Lomond....such a beautiful area of Scotland.
Vor 15 Jahren während einer Rundreise in Schottland das erste Mal gehört. Und es ist immer noch in meinen Ohren. I love this ❤
Everyone in the pub knew the words to the song...
Many Irish and Scots know each other's traditional songs, many have crossed the water so often the history is blurred unless like this a specific place is named.
Thank's from France ☘️
Shout out to all the Scottish people and their beautiful, proud music. Greetings from Germany and stay strong!
@@Sillasmariano You probably should have read the title of the video or understood the lyrics or history of the song before making this comment.
@@Sillasmariano Loch Lomond is in Scotland.
@@zaidsyed8187 Loch Lomond is a Britsh (Scottish) Folk tune....., which in this video is being singed by Irishman
Really man really ..
probably written by a Englishman all the best tunes are.
Love it when the youth of a nation embraces there heritage and traditions.

I love the Ramparts: I watch this over and over.
Want a pint, now! Cheers from France!
Why am I crying?! 😅🥲
What a beautiful song.
Bloody hell. Just like an Irish pub ❤️
I wish there was more of this in America, man I really love my Irish and Scottish roots.
By and large, Americans don't sing anymore.
I do, in the shower.
It in would be amazing to hear that when you're jus hanging out in the pub.
@@michaellastname4922 And its a damn Shame
@@SonofIiberty Agreed ... the only place I can think of for choral, uh, let's call it singing, is military cadences (and that's mostly at boot camp).
It feels so heart warming to watch you guys sing, especially during these gloomy days. Love it and can't wait for a next video of you singin' ❤️🥰. Love from France
Da stimme ich dir von ganzen Herzen zu 👍🏿❤️
Bravo, dear Gents! Much love from Texas. Happiest of St. Patrick's Days to ya!

@tsmithkc wouldn't they though?? My word... 😁
This is a fantastic rendition of this song!
I grew up on this song... but it was slightly less up-beat. What a great re-imagining of a tragic and beautiful song.
Wow - super!
Love it!!
Brilliant.
Marvellous performance and ensemble. I hear you guys in the mornings to cheer up my day. How I miss “my Dublin”. 🍀 Greetings from a Mexican in Germany.
I feel like this is a short version and I really really really wish you would upload the whole version - it's so beautiful and makes me so happy. Can't wait to visit Ireland again. Greetings from Germany :)
Dieses Lied ist ein schottisches Traditionales von ca. 1841 wohl aber um einiges älter. MfG
Schöne grüße in die heimat, von Massachusetts 😊
