Ryoko Izumo fue inspirada en DOS personas:
La judoka que existe en la vida real *Ryoko Tani* quien fue campeona en los juegos olimpicos.
*Yawara Inokuma* la judoka protagonista del manga 'YAWARA!'
A diferencia de los otros peleadores de World Heroes que provienen de otras epocas, Ryoko vive del presente (o mejor dicho ella vive en los 90s)
Ryoko Izumo es una experta judoka que estaba de viaje para convertirse en una verdadera luchadora, pero no podía entender el 'significado de la pelea'
Un dia se enfrentó ante un ninja del clan Iga (Hanzo Hattori) quien terminó derrotandola. Impresionado ante la habilidad de la joven, el ninja decidió invitarla al proximo torneo 'World Heroes'.
Ryoko, asombrada ante la fuerza del ninja azul,
aceptó sin dudar la invitacion con la esperanza de volverse una verdadera una maestra en las artes marciales, y al mismo tiempo poder acercarse más a Hanzo (la bella chica terminó enamorada del ninja).

Ryoko Izumo es la primera "heroina pura e inocente" en juegos de pelea, llegó antes que Nakoruru (Samurai Shodown)
Antes de Ryoko todas las mujeres peleadoras eran "¡Todos los hombres deben arrodillarse ante mí!", "Yatta!", "Soy la número uno de Japón!" o "Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!" y así sucesivamente.
La tipica "hermana mayor" que era muy comun en esa epoca.
Ryoko era diferente a todas ellas.
No era badas$ o s€×y. Su diseño y personalidad era más enfocado a ser tierna/adorable 😊
Fue refrescante ver una chica que se comportaba muy femenina en juegos de pelea.

That sounds like a cool match.
Ryoko with her judo techniques VS Kisarah with her wrestling techniques. Both gals are awesome!
Such a shame Ryoko was not playable in Aggressors of Dark Kombat.

@@meganinten0078 Same here! would be a great match! and I would like both in modern KOF games ! Nothing better thank very feminine women using grppling in fighting games ! Not so many are capable of it. And both these girls are some of the earliest ones, I don't thing many of this type have been created later...

Ryoko not only is the first female grappler but she was also small and quick!
Meanwhile Kisarah is the first female character who fights wearing a highschool uniform, even before the famous Sakura Kasugano (Street Fighter)
I would love to see Kisarah and Ryoko in The King of Fighters or in a sequel of SNK Heroines.
At least Kisarah was playable in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum with a lovely redesign and with a new gameplay that reminds me of Yuki's from SNK Gals Fighters. Not bad but I personally prefer Kisarah's gameplay in Aggressors of Dark Kombat where she has many wrestling (and a bit of judo) techniques.

Ryoko Izumo is NOT the first female grappler in fighting games. Ryoko Kano from Fighter's History is the first one.
Both Ryokos came the same year, 1993
Ryoko Kano came one month earlier than Ryoko Izumo.

2:55 Esa tecnica con las manos (Bosatsusho) es similar a una tecnica que tienen Lee Hae Gwon y Leonhalt Domador, personajes de 'Aggressors of Dark Kombat'. Aparentemente Lee le enseñó esa tecnica a Ryoko.
Hablando de Aggressors of Dark Kombat, en el juego 'ADK World' se rebela que Ryoko es amiga de Kisarah Westfield, de hecho ambas se han enfrentado. Es una lastima que Ryoko no fue personaje jugable en AoDK, Fuuma fue el unico invitado de World Heroes
3:43 En el escenario de Ryoko en la izquierda puedes ver a Ai y Aya, las senpai/senior/mayores de Ryoko, de hecho cuando Ryoko gana ellas se ponen contentas 😄
En el medio del escenario el anciano que esta sentado es el abuelo de Ryoko, Sanshiro.
10:50 A Ryoko le gusta enfrentarse a Hanzo, de hecho ella esta enamorada del ninja azul. En ADK World se confirma que ella usa la maquina del tiempo del Dr. Brown para sus viajes de entrenamiento y para visitar a Hanzo, de hecho a veces ella engaña al ninja azul para que los dos salgan a pasear juntos con la excusa de que eso es entrenamiento 😆

De hecho ese es su hobby, entrar y derrotar integrantes de dojos y despues quitarles el cartel.
Me imagino a Ryoko entrando al dojo de la familia Sakazaki y derrotando a Yuri, Robert y Ryo.

Jogar com Ryoko não é para novatos, pois não possui nenhuma magia de longa distância, nem antiaéreo. Sua técnica de agarrões é primordial para se dar bem com ela, como jogar com Zangief.
