Those weren't Beefeaters at Buckingham Palace, they were one of the five Footguards Regiments, who are also front-line infantry troops. Modern day Beefeaters are all ex-military, who were formed long before the British Army, as a bodyguard to Henry VII in 1485. You were very lucky, not many people get to stand inside the circle at Stonehenge.
I was in the British Army and I don't remember ever having to march that fast! 😂 Oh and Ive read the comment saying they found it insulting that you speeded up the marching. Im sure if the lads had seen this video they would of found it hilarious. Hope you both enjoyed our capital city. 👍

It's the first time a non British of Commonwealth of Nations military force, here the French Republican Guard, part of the French National Gendarmerie, has guarded the palace to celebrate the Entente Cordiale signed in April 1904 between Britain and France.
