Those weren't Beefeaters at Buckingham Palace, they were one of the five Footguards Regiments, who are also front-line infantry troops. Modern day Beefeaters are all ex-military, who were formed long before the British Army, as a bodyguard to Henry VII in 1485. You were very lucky, not many people get to stand inside the circle at Stonehenge.
I was in the British Army and I don't remember ever having to march that fast! 😂 Oh and Ive read the comment saying they found it insulting that you speeded up the marching. Im sure if the lads had seen this video they would of found it hilarious. Hope you both enjoyed our capital city. 👍
I'm 70 and you are welcome back to our wonderful Capital City and the rest of England and The UK anytime ,my friends. I was born in 1954 and , although ,I am a Londoner, I am still nowhere near seeing all of London and its 32 Boroughs.:)
Lovely Blog of the UK. Just to reiterate what was said in previous comments, you speeding up the march was very funny and not at all insulting. Us Brits are supposed to have a sense of humour, yet there's always someone ready to be offended on the internet. You and your Mum seem like such wonderful people, and you show how lovely people are from the US. Best wishes.
At the palace you witnessed something quite historic. It's the first time a non British of Commonwealth of Nations military force, here the French Republican Guard, part of the French National Gendarmerie, has guarded the palace to celebrate the Entente Cordiale signed in April 1904 between Britain and France.
Well Hello @ur bud, kelsey welcome to Jolly Old England Mam home of The Tower Bridge Exhibition and Postmans Park and Alton Towers Theme Park and Sandworld too lol.
Ive no idea why you made the Guardsmen look silly with the fast play . Thats really quite insulting. They are serving soldiers some of whom served alongside US troops in Afghanistan.

Thank you for sharing! I didn’t know that and I am so grateful I was given the opportunity to be in such a magical place that Stonehenge is.
Such an amazing video! I love the musical ambiance☺️
London is AMAZING I'm soo jealous 😢
London the City that has no limits, no end

I truly meant no disrespect! I appreciate your comment so much and yes they really weren’t marching that fast in real life 🤭

Fabulous Vlog!! Thanks for sharing your trip!
hehehe of course random watcher ;)
Thank you for sharing your experience, it was lovely to watch. I noticed you got a few petty comments, I’m British and your video is just fine.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video :)
Lovely people come back anytime, id definitely recommend the city of York in Northern England.
Thank you so much! We will have to visit next time we are in England :)
@urbudkelsey I just watched your video again and think it's funny to see the Guards Speeded up also .😂.
Allowed to go into the stones at stone henge that's unusual. They don't normally let you walk around them
I know! It was a special occasion and we were lucky enough that there was such few people there.
Nice video, looks like you had a great time here in London 👍🏻

Wow!! I am beyond grateful to have had that amazing opportunity, thank you for sharing!
Changing of the guard on speed was a highlight. Hang on, that was part of the Entente Cordiale exchange. I was about 50 yards away from you.
Oh that is so cool! I hoped you enjoyed as much as we did :)
Fun video!
NEVER seen the French guards at Trooping The Colour
Can I ask why you guys picked uk for holiday 😊😊
I’ve always wanted to go and it was relativity inexpensive for the two of us!
Appreciate you sharing your moment with us I went to that hard rock cafe sat on round table near the window
Really! I absolutely loved the hard rock and the staff were so sweet, thank you for sharing!

Well Hello @ur bud, kelsey welcome to Jolly Old England Mam home of The Tower Bridge Exhibition and Postmans Park and Alton Towers Theme Park and Sandworld too lol.
Ok you have just landed in the Uk which has yes a Union Jack but if im not right England has a George Cross as its flag 👍

They only had 15 minutes of video and in real time ,that would have taken up the whole video so it was a creative way around the problem ...
I am so sorry, I meant no disrespect, seeing them in real life was such a beautiful moment, sadly my videos were quite long so I had to shorten them.
@@urbudkelsey I'm sorry😥 I thought you were making fun of them. I understand now why you did it.
They are also not ‘beefeaters’ those are the special guards at the Tower of London.
What a po faced comment. Please ignore the comment about it being insulting. Some people just want to be offended and will look for any excuse.
