This game is quite difficult on Elite difficulty. I've been playing this game for 17 years and I even struggle sometimes so I wanted to make a series detailing how to beat each mission on the hardest difficulty in the game!
Still working on the Republic and Rebels ones. It's very hard to win, but they'll be up soon!

The AI in this game is hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing when the AT-RT driver was going nowhere, troops standing in place, and the troop that jumped out of the gunship in space. 😂 One time when I was playing as the Empire on Naboo, three rebels were standing on the bridge that led to the palace structure and just were shooting straight up at nothing.
I used to play this game on my PS2 before it broke and (other than too many repetitive space battles) had a lot of fun!
Oh yeah! I’ve had some hilarious moments over the years 😂
Im super excited to relive my childhood again, man the hours I put in playing this as a kid, loved commentary, also I love the rag doll physics in this game, My favorite battle/map is the battle/invasion of geonosis man oh man the fun I will have, watching you play fills my mind with the memories ive had of this game 😀😀😀😀

I loved this game, got it in my 30's, played it like crazy, I liked the X-Wings to start with but then the infantry is so much fun...just installed it with the mods today....awesome!

On elite difficulty. If you are just starting from scratch. Go for defensive space battles. If you aren't that good even on planet side with infantry, then take that 1 k and just buy a secondary fleet and park it over kamino. Same with parking one over Hoth as the rebel alliance. And then focus strictly on space battles. My best advice is either use the bombers as they are tough sob craft or the gunships as they can take a lot of punishment before they go down. And focus either on taking out frigates with the gunships/bombers, or get the multirole fighters (ARC-170 and X-Wing). And stick close to your capital ship. Gunning down bombers and such. As those 4 points per fighter (5 for Tie Bomber) add up quick. Like i have played a shite ton of Ace Combat/other fighter games. So my pilot record is a mile long in this game with fleet protection. And if i start a new profile, i stick with space battle defense. Every win is 300 points. Then when it comes to buffs. I choose bacta tanks. Health regen can go a long way. Especially if you find yourself alone, last man standing, and 30 to 60 enemies left. I can't tell you how many times on Hoth or Yavin IV that i was the last one left. And took out an entire garrison by myself.
P.S. Yoda is mad easy to use. If you time his dash attack right. You can hit dash and strike immediately afterwards. Then you can rapidly strike and take out a lot of enemies.

Glad you enjoyed! Yeah the space marine trooper is a really fun unit, assault rifle and rocket launcher is a fun combo haha, and its good for boarding actions, but the ai never does boarding actions 😂
Regarding that space tip, you can purchase the Marine and just land on the enemy hangar and do damage. Simple method to guarantee victory. With that rifle you can take out everyone and use the rocket launcher to do damage inside the fleet.
I always did this with the fleet, spawn in over and over and murder soldiers after blowing up all the internals

@@OutplanetStudiosI got 1 question I'm a little confused about to if you don't mind answering?? When you buy yourself another clone unit does the enemy get a droid unit too or do they get them whenever the game itself chooses??
@@officialshepherd4704 Great question! When I buy a unit for my team, it only applies to my team. The enemy has a pool of units to choose from on their turn as well. Scary part is it doesnt notify me when they buy them so I could walk into a battle and suddenly my guys are getting sniped by a new unit type.

The droid ships sometimes have living crew members, usually in the bridge. (As seen in Episode III). That’s probably why it has a life support system.
I just thank God you don't have to deal with the minibosses that was the bf1 droidekas. To this day i still think about how impossible it was just to take those fuckers down

In the Kamino battle, when you ran out of ammo you had gotten the award rifle for Frenzy, so if you had swapped to pistol then back you would have had full ammo again.

Strange how when you're in the enemy ship taking out systems, there's no enemy ai around. Whenever I board their ship I have tons of enemies spawning in the engine and life support rooms while I'm trying to take them out
I’m not sure if theres a difference between instant action and galactic conquest spawn rates, but I feel like its different lol I get a lot usually but the galactic conquest ones dont have much

2:48 I mean on Dagobah I just Never Go to Command Post 3. The Swampy Sea and always follow a Clockwise motion on the Map and Circle around to advancing on the Swamp from the South. Because CP3 is a Meat Grinder. And everytime I've tried to stand and fight on CP3 I lose.
So glad they're rereleasing this game for modern machines.

So, I've been listening to this at work and thought you just got some really dumb AI since you kinda seemed to breeze through this on Elite. So I tried a conquest last night on normal, without using the immortal cheat that I usually use and got my ass handed to me. So either it's actually difficult or I suck more at this game than I thought I did. xD
Haha it takes practice! I’ve been playing for 20 years, but if I’ve been playing other games for a while and I come back, I still get crushed for a few matches.
@@OutplanetStudios Have you tried GC on the Classic Collection yet? I think the AI is more aggressive on there than the OG version. I can't do anything in the opposing capital ship without getting absolutely swarmed.

I often do better with the marine for one reason, I heavily rely on boarding. Its an abuse of the ai, yeah, but taking the drop ship and leaving it on the enemy ship with no one in it makes it so the ai don't attack. This can happen right at the start so you can tear apart their ship nice and quickly.
Obviously though for playing fair, if you aren't excessively boarding the pilot is the way to stay like you said.

@OutplanetStudios If only! When they are on the enemy ship they aren't all too bad at fighting with the marine class, but somehow they still end up crashing or dying with only a few enemy ships getting out. Needed more time in the simulations for sure!
that stalling glitch happens to me when i do space battle playing as empire on the xbox. all the ai on my team are just frozen motionless, making me have to carry the whole weight of the match. wth

The AI not being reliable is probably by design, You are suppose to be the hero that carries the team. Can't prove anything but it seems one of your command posts will automatically fall as soon as you go out and claim one. Like its meant to keep you running around

@@OutplanetStudios Its terrible in some ways but consider that if you do absolutely nothing your team will likely never win, Would you conclude that the droid AI is better? Doubt it because if you were playing as the droids your team would still loose if you weren't carrying it.
The way the AI is actually bad I would say is more specific, Mobs get stuck in the corner in that one spot on naboo supposedly because there used to be a route there that was closed off last second. Rebel soldiers in particular seem to shoot at dead bodies for some reason, Things like that

How do you feel about the beam rifle when you play as the sniper/marksman class? I swear the regular sniper rifle is better than the beam rifle for sniping, especially at long ranges.
I completely agree 😂 back in the day if I got it and accidentally switched to it, I’d kill myself to get back to the default 😂 nothing like having to maintain the pinpoint aim for double the time to get the kill 😂
Same kind of shot works great on Princess Leia’s pistol at short range though.
Beam Rifle *definitely* prefers to go for body shots. It hits multiple times in a handful of frames, but doesn’t provide the instant kill of the normal Sniper Rifle headshot.

Polis Masa is so difficult when playing as clones or empire. just by the structure of the map alone. the spawning points of the command post in the hallway are so far from the command post itself. while the rebels and cis have ez access from the two corridors. @@OutplanetStudios
Im sure you had a reason for not doing it but why didn't you pick up the other classes like the engineer, the jetpack trooper, the chaingun marine?
Mostly out of habit nowadays. My usual strategy is controlling the AI composition of my army pretty heavily. Tank engagements, repair/slicing action, and sniping happens but the only thing that every map shares is soldier on soldier head to head fighting. So basically if most of my army is built up with grunts, the AIs should dominate the front line pretty well. Later in the war i’ll usually add some snipers (typically before big maps like kashyyyk) Hope this helps!

I consider your use of award effects and weapons to be major cheating. They also take away all the tension and suspense, which makes viewing dull. There is no excitement or intensity in one-sided battles.
You should attempt this again, on elite difficulty, but without any award effects or weapons. I have done this. For me, it really was not terribly hard.
Well, video came out about a year ago so maybe you should check out the new stuff. Been playing the game for 20 years so I’m well aware of how much harder elite is on a fresh account, which you can see on the 5hr galactic conquest I did last week.

There is another reason to play without the awards. You do not have to hear the relentless and quite seriously annoying beeping sounds. It is considerably unpleasant on the ears.
@@OutplanetStudios I have an idea for a galactic conquest playthrough. In addition to playing through galactic conquest on elite difficulty without any award effects or award weapons, you should also limit yourself to three lives per battle (two lives if you are feeling especially brave). This forces you to play intelligently and very carefully. I did this, and it was a blast! Tense as Hell!
Helpful tip: Have soldiers following you at all times.
No space battles they’re garbage and offer way less credits
