The characters, the story, the gameplay, the MUSIC, it's all so perfect to me and everything fit so well together, I already have 100+ hours in this game and it's a story mode game ! I'm really impatient for act III and the global expansion of this masterpiece

Everytime he killed me, I just laughed and chuckled. I WAS HAVING FUN GETTING MY ASS KICKED. The music, his taunts, his combat style. It genuinely made me forget about the outside world so I could devote my entire attention to beating him. the last I had this much fun with a boss fight was when Spider-Man PS4 came out. Goddamn I can’t wait to fight this fucker in Act III

Gabriel was on a desesperate, yet ultimately impossible mission to finish V1 as soon as possible (ACT I & II happen within the span of a single earth day) before God's Light abandon his body. Which is why he was that much frustated that a mere machine could best him. In his own mind, an angel created by God himself couldn't be beaten, and as the Council told him he was being a "heretic" for daring to lose, something no other angel had experienced before, even less so himself. Killing V1 was his way to "right his wrong", that wrong being....defeated. You, by defeating Gabriel twice, showed him humility, and a character development no other character had during the course *OF A SINGLE DAY*.

I then found out he took mage slayer and proceeded to solo someone i was building up to be his rival. literally started the music after the speech as he took on what he called "his final form" Update: Actually wound up askin him bout this during the session earlier today, why build his character like this? Maybe it's because V1, a machine built for war, was never used. And thinking that maybe it thought it wasn't good enough for it's creators, and it can feel the dead humans that made it watching it? Maybe V1 feels inferior to the other machines because they were used, there is multiple of them... but only one of it.
If mankind is dead, and the only things watching over the machines are the terminals, the machines, such as swordsmachine, have likely gone rogue and have no rules to follow, which is probably why they fight each other. But why don't the demons attack swordsmachine?
Reminds me of the time our Paladin got fucking locked in a room with the necromancer party member and instead of solving the riddle to both get out they chose option B to fight to the death

Dropped a few levels into Monk, too. V1 moves way too fast to just be an artificer. Unless there's something that allows artificers to go at mach 1 perpetually.
My Paladin dragonborn hit an beautiful nat 20 with divine smite with my spear with 23 crit damage and deleted the human thug against the wall was covered with blood and nearby thugs were in fear of my Paladin the subclass I play is vengeance
I may suggest watching a video because gameplay shows you a part of the story (I haven't watched a lore vid) but still its your choice but in terms of buying the game or wanting to play take a look at the gameplay vids

He did keep an eye on V1 during its descent thru Hell. "You fool!" The machine used its Rocket Launcher, only for Gabriel's Sword to blast a beam of light directly at the still launching rocket, causing the weapon to explode and sever V1's right arm. "You are getting rusty, machine!" Adapting to the event, it quickly attached V2's arm where the now destroyed one once was. Just in time to deliver a full power blow to Gabriel, strong enough to make him back away. "Is this what I lost to!?" Using the whiplash, V1 plunged itself towards the angel, landing a kick on his chest and using the revolver's charge shot to hit him right in the face, only to be pushed backwards right after. "Nothing but scrap!" The floor of the room was the ideal trap. Water. Attaching itself to the ceiling, the machine pulled itself to it, only for Gabriel to use one of his ethereal Blades to sever the wire. "I'll show you divine Justice...!?" Using the remaining momentum and a dash charge, V1 reaches the top of the hall, right in time to use the knuckleblaster to throw the angel crash landing to the floor. "You need... More... Power...!?" It was on the ground, covered in water. The machine pulled the trigger of the Railcannon, electrouting its foe but V1 itself did land on the floor, momentarily frying its dash system. "Is that the best you've got!? Ah ah ah ah ah ah!" Charging to the machine, Gabriel aimed for the head, only for the blow to be stopped by the still recharching Railcannon. The weapon got severed in half but it gave V1's dash system enough time to get back online, allowing it to back away far enough to send a Revolver round ricochet on the nearby wall, hitting the angel's back, at the point where the wings were attached to his body. "I never had a fight like this before!" The Whiplash was gone and so the Railcannon but there was yet another method to fry him. Getting its machinegun ready, V1 threw a wire at Gabriel. Ready to turn on the high voltage. "Come on machine, fight me lime an animal!" Catching the wire mid hair, the angel pulled its adversary towards himself. The countermeasure was ready. After a quick barrage of Machinegun bullets, V1 got the Shotgun ready, blasting directly at Gabriel's face. "Show me what you were made for, ah ah ah ah ah ah!" It quickly got four coins ready. It only needed the right chance. "Come get some Blood! Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!" Not yet. "I will show you true splendor!" Almost there... "What is this feeling...? Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!" A fraction of a second long window. It threw the coins in rapid succession, shooting a perfectly precise Revolver round. "Enough...!?" Gabriel threw his own Sword at V1, impaling it to the wall by the main chassis but, at the same time, the Revolver's round, after ricocheting between the coins, hit him right in the face, breaking his helm in the process and making Blood pour out of the open wound and thus fall on one knee. "Twice!? Beaten by an object... Twice! I’ve only known the taste of victory, but this taste... Is... Is this my Blood? I’ve never known such... Such... Relief? I... I need some time to think... We will meet again, machine..." Gone. "May your woes be many... Eh... And your days few" Removing the angel's golden Sword, Splendor, from its chassis, V1 gave a silent farewell to the Revolver, stroke by the Blade. And after having used the fallen angel's blood to recover the damage sustained during the battle... It wielded the Blade, reasuming its unrelenting march thru Hell, till its next and final clash with Gabriel.

Dropped a few levels into Monk, too. V1 moves way too fast to just be an artificer. Unless there's something that allows artificers to go at mach 1 perpetually.

I may suggest watching a video because gameplay shows you a part of the story (I haven't watched a lore vid) but still its your choice but in terms of buying the game or wanting to play take a look at the gameplay vids

The angel's wings and halo shine red, mirroring their owner's immense hatred for his opponent.
He did keep an eye on V1 during its descent thru Hell.
"You fool!"
The machine used its Rocket Launcher, only for Gabriel's Sword to blast a beam of light directly at the still launching rocket, causing the weapon to explode and sever V1's right arm.
"You are getting rusty, machine!"
Adapting to the event, it quickly attached V2's arm where the now destroyed one once was.
Just in time to deliver a full power blow to Gabriel, strong enough to make him back away.
"Is this what I lost to!?"
Using the whiplash, V1 plunged itself towards the angel, landing a kick on his chest and using the revolver's charge shot to hit him right in the face, only to be pushed backwards right after.
"Nothing but scrap!"
The floor of the room was the ideal trap.
Water.
Attaching itself to the ceiling, the machine pulled itself to it, only for Gabriel to use one of his ethereal Blades to sever the wire.
"I'll show you divine Justice...!?"
Using the remaining momentum and a dash charge, V1 reaches the top of the hall, right in time to use the knuckleblaster to throw the angel crash landing to the floor.
"You need... More... Power...!?"
It was on the ground, covered in water.
The machine pulled the trigger of the Railcannon, electrouting its foe but V1 itself did land on the floor, momentarily frying its dash system.
"Is that the best you've got!? Ah ah ah ah ah ah!"
Charging to the machine, Gabriel aimed for the head, only for the blow to be stopped by the still recharching Railcannon.
The weapon got severed in half but it gave V1's dash system enough time to get back online, allowing it to back away far enough to send a Revolver round ricochet on the nearby wall, hitting the angel's back, at the point where the wings were attached to his body.
"I never had a fight like this before!"
The Whiplash was gone and so the Railcannon but there was yet another method to fry him.
Getting its machinegun ready, V1 threw a wire at Gabriel.
Ready to turn on the high voltage.
"Come on machine, fight me lime an animal!"
Catching the wire mid hair, the angel pulled its adversary towards himself.
The countermeasure was ready.
After a quick barrage of Machinegun bullets, V1 got the Shotgun ready, blasting directly at Gabriel's face.
"Show me what you were made for, ah ah ah ah ah ah!"
It quickly got four coins ready.
It only needed the right chance.
"Come get some Blood! Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!"
Not yet.
"I will show you true splendor!"
Almost there...
"What is this feeling...? Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!"
A fraction of a second long window.
It threw the coins in rapid succession, shooting a perfectly precise Revolver round.
"Enough...!?"
Gabriel threw his own Sword at V1, impaling it to the wall by the main chassis but, at the same time, the Revolver's round, after ricocheting between the coins, hit him right in the face, breaking his helm in the process and making Blood pour out of the open wound and thus fall on one knee.
"Twice!? Beaten by an object... Twice! I’ve only known the taste of victory, but this taste... Is... Is this my Blood? I’ve never known such... Such... Relief? I... I need some time to think... We will meet again, machine..."
Gone.
"May your woes be many... Eh... And your days few"
Removing the angel's golden Sword, Splendor, from its chassis, V1 gave a silent farewell to the Revolver, stroke by the Blade.
And after having used the fallen angel's blood to recover the damage sustained during the battle...
It wielded the Blade, reasuming its unrelenting march thru Hell, till its next and final clash with Gabriel.
