Because it worms its way into your soul, making you lower your guard, making you feel exactly how The Lamb wants you to feel. This is exactly the kind of atmosphere cults in real life seek to create. An ambiance of friendship and camaraderie. Everything is going to be okay. Just don't leave. It's a nasty world out there. It's just you, your friends, and your Dear Leader, against the world. You cannot speak up against The Lamb. But you are welcome. You are starving. But you are safe. You are a disposable pawn. But you are wanted. You will die for The Lamb. But you will die knowing you are loved.
The followers of the lamb work and work all day, knowing that the blood, sweat and tears that they shed are not in vain. one of the main reasons i love cult of the lamb's ost especially most of the village themes is that the melody of the music sounds like a choir of your followers singing, it helps make your followers feel more alive, and with emotion. Its one of the main reasons for the music to be nostalgic in a sense

I love all the songs from Cult of the Lamb, but this one is my absolute favourite. I am driving my poor husband insane by humming it from the moment I wake to the moment I close my eyes at night.
I really appreciate it a video game's soundtrack is officially provided to listen to for free. It's gonna get ripped and extended anyways, so I'm glad when my views go to an offical source, and especially when I can comment on a video published by the artist expressing my enjoyment and thanks ;) Also super appreciate that it's loop friendly. That's something I trust the original creators with way more than anyone else. Too many video game songs on youtube have bad loops or fades in the middle of the song, and those videos are top results. Getting these videos out before people have time to post their own basically guarantees that they'll remain on top results for the rest of time.
Not to mention the extra effort going into the actual video, you know all those rips just use a still image but here the same image is animated and alive, characters bouncing and swaying to the beat

It reminds me of the game, cute and fun but hints at more important morals like, once you are under the control of the one who awaits, you know the truth, so you must fight for what you know is true no matter what the four throw at you.

When I saw the game trailer I was very amused to the art style of the game and animation, but I didn't expect the OST on the game was so chilling and really good.
I bought this game like 2 days ago at time of posting this comment here, and i have to say it VERY quickly rose to my absolute favorite games of all time. The art, animation, music, concept, and mechanics all blend so well together and having such a bomb OST just adds the cherry on top. Great stuff! Also :015 is the best part
this FEELS like your in a cult of tiny animals. the clucking in the background sound like that cartoony jungle animal music we heard as kids, the echos make it dark, and the slowly climbing xylophones just work to pull everting together. such beautiful, relaxing mysterious music to listen too. it just gives the feels, and I'm all here for it. whatever you wright next, may the force be with you :3

From first beats i've confused this song with some music from Animal Crossing. And AC music is one of top tiers to relax(and study) to, so it's a compliment! Cuz this calm camp osts is really fits with theme of "nice village with a bit of a twisted worshipping", and I love it! River Boy, you did such a nice job on this game's soundtrack, i hope you will continue your work as a musician for games, cuz your music is outstanding!
