@@TheKampungVeganAccording to history, cendol ice was first discovered in the 19th century. This drink is a people's favorite during the summer. Cendol is thought to originate from Java, Indonesia under the name dawet. The word "dawet" was recorded in a Javanese manuscript of the early 19th century, to be precise in 1814 in the book Serat Centhini. Cendol is also thought to have existed since the time of the Pagaruyung kingdom in Minangkabau in the 16th century. However, there are no written records that confirm exactly when cendol first appeared in the Minang realm. The word cendol is thought to originate from the word "Jendolan" which refers to the shape of cendol and its distinctive texture when drunk or put into the mouth.malingsia
