It is my pleasure to introduce the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 Remastering Project, an undertaking of mine dedicated to bringing one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks to a new life. It is my belief that this music--composed by Arata Iiyoshi, Hideki Sakamoto, Keisuke Ito, Ryoma Nakamura and Ken-ichi Saito--deserves to be listened to and enjoyed by more than just the people who play, or have played, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. It is a truly beautiful and widely appreciated collection of music, however with a limited potential due to the confines by which it is bound: a Nintendo DS cartridge. My goal for this project is to bring each track in the game to life by means of remastering, and in some cases reorchestrating, to the best of my ability, while at the same time preserving the natural charm that lies within them.

Actually if I had to pick a favorite song to bug you about uploading I'd have to think about it for a long time. the next not too memorable but still quite memorable theme you should do is On The Beach at Dusk.
It may look like the end, but really it's the start for the next story.

I think This is one of the best ending themes in any video game!
Also, this is an extremely underrated song. I honestly think this one is almost as good as Don't ever forget.
I know Rescue Team is my little bro favorite PMD game, but Explorers will always have that place in my heart.

TheGuitahHeroe Hearing this has reminded me how much I loved the story in the PMD2 games! Today, I'm a picking up my DS and playing my copy of Explorers of Time from beginning to end and to infinity and beyond! Thank you, dude, for reawakening the Mudkip within me!
This is the game that awakened my love for mudkip... and made me create the river of tears for it to swim in.
Hey, the file is gone because Nintendo took it down. How silly. You remastered it, its not like you uploaded the actual song.
They get extremely butthurt about their fans liking their games, that's why.
*Very* strict with copyright. They are probably the last company to team up with fans on a project or reference meme culture which both capcom and sega have done.
This was the one piece that got me, the scenes was in the position to make me cry for hours, I might have actually, the story got me that tough, and it was perfect to me because I had so much difficulty fighting Dusknoir, but then blew through Temporal Tower and beat Primal Dialga.

Dialga's fight to the finish. That's the song I want to hear the most. It's not a good song to end the project wit tho, too climactic, something like Farther Away would have the right vibe to end the project with.
RNG will select them eventually, just be patient ^_^

this was in my opinion the perfect Pokemon game it had likable characters, nice plot twists, and it had perfect music to tell a person exactly how to feel in a certain situation and I made me grow attached to my partner which was a female eevee mind you and is one of my first video game crushes also the ending made a 14 year old who has not cried since he was 12 ball his F**KING eyes out that is how good it is and if IGN cant see it then they do not know what they are missing also PETITION FOR HIM TO BE THE MUSIC REMASTERER IN THE PMD2 REMAKE THAT COMES OUT MOST LIKELY THE SAME YEAR AS HL3 LIKE TO VOTE YES!
I also have good names for the remakes (excluding time because i could not come up with a good one so i put the first thing that came up same maybe with sky)

Dude I feel the same way, I’m a 16 year old boy replaying this game and I finished it for the second time a couple weeks ago and I still bawled my eyes out. Seriously whoever wrote the script for this game shouldn’t be working for Pokemon, they should be working with marvel
This was the first game that ever made me cry, I was feeling so many emotions when I first beat explorers of time at age 7. Then explorers of sky came out and I played it again and I cried even more. I've since played through explorers of sky more times than I can count and I still always tear up at the minimum. This game is without a doubt one of the best things to ever exist.😭

The story and how the story proceeds was spot on and the music was beautiful that I couldn't contain myself from loving the music.

The memories
The first part... the intro. The flute just breaks my heart.
If there was ever a game I wish I could forget and play through again this would be it, I love replaying it but the emotions I felt that first time playing and even now still do to an extent are like nothing I had or have since experienced
I'm just now stumbling across these remasters and I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoy listening to them and reminiscing about all the hours of time I spent playing these glorious games
They truly were a highlight of my childhood, and I feel you did [most of] them justice
Looking through this playlist however, I was sad that I didn't see two of the most emotional songs in the game, "I Don't Want to Say Goodbye" and "Memories Returned"

This is amazing. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is my favorite Pokemon game in existence so far and this project (this song especally) has reminded me of why I adore this game. And this is just the begining of the remastered tracks...

Sky is mine too for the DS and in existence for GBA its Red Rescue Team and for 3ds you guessed it Gates to Infinity but not as much though

Seeing my partner run to Bidoof and cry my name, then hearing this track play... Nothing's really hit me in the feels in quite the same way. You've won, you've beaten the game, but at what cost?

This game... so phenomenal. Even at age 16/17 (Can’t remember exactly when this game came out in 2007) this game made me cry on multiple occasions and I’m not the emotional type. The story was just amazing too, so many like able characters and plot twists. The only problem is the gameplay. Honestly Mystery Dungeon Games get kind of repetitive, the only thing that makes me keep going with these games is their godly lore.
I feel you, everything in this game is done with pure dedication and love: The relationship with your partner, the time-travel plot, extra charas, heart-breaking moments, etc. But the gameplay........ In the end I got used to it, but.... I remember wasting a whole month in Mt. Bristle just trying to level up!! Or the RNG screw-ups like the Monster Houses! I wanted to destroy my 3DS lmao
Always thought that having your partner break down and then cut to this uplifting track was a bit cruel.
Then spmd happened where they just leave the character crying on the end credits screen as a backdrop.
Aftermath from Pmd1, then Farewell from Pmd1, then this? The nostalgia. I actually got stuck in Sky Tower in Pmd1, but I did beat Pmd2, so this is more nostalgic.

RNG has a pretty weird sided die. It can be really good on it's outcomes, bad, or really really picky just to annoy someone on it's continuous bad rolls. Personally I've dealt with it for years and have no problem with it in this case xD
I've already downloaded the first PMDRMP (thanks again) and can't wait to continue watching how this one turns out as well (in my personal opinion Explorers was my favorite story and music wise). I'm sure this project will turn out just as great as the last (if not better)!

I've listened to every single one of your remixes. Game Freak, you fucked up Gates to Infinity so bad that the least you can do is remake the first two Pmds. Who else agrees? Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Fire Red/Water Blue Rescue Team, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Vast Sky/Infinite Time/Never-Ending Darkness. Wouldn't Pmd remakes with these songs be amazing?
They wouldn't need to remake the early PMD's if they didn't make Super suck
The Happy Madman Are you out of your damn mind? Super was incredible!
I was really disappointed with it, honestly. The main story wasn't nearly as good as Rescue Team and Explorers. This is my main concern, because I played those two primarily for the story. The pacing in this Super was especially bad. I also had high expectations when I realized both of the continents from Rescue Team and Explorers were going to be included in Super, thinking that maybe I could go visit old places and dungeons, but it does neither of those. The soundtrack was nothing special. Say what you want about the new recruitment system, but I greatly preferred getting my teammates from defeating them in dungeons. The rest of the gameplay had some improvements, but as I've stated above, I mainly played Mystery Dungeon for the story.
The Happy Madman The story is slightly inferior, but I find it hard to finish Explorers because it's so drawn out and boring, but the pacing in Super is amazing. The new recruitment system is far more convient for getting specific team mates than farming dungeons. And there are some old dungeons, most notably the Great Canyon
The Happy Madman And the soundtrack was PHENOMENAL. The ending music was a little lackluster and I wish it hadn't been, but Super had arguable the best final boss and final dungeon music

The Illusionist Well, one, Game Freak didn't have any part in any of the PMD games. Spike Chunsoft made them. And two, that would ruin the emotion of the moment.
