My dad was in the CCCs in the late 30's out of that area. Their tasking was to stock many of the highland lakes that you are enjoying. I love going up there. It looks the same now as it did in his time. Feels like I still share that with him, though he has been gone for many years. Love to see you enjoy it.
Love how you've always respect the nature and care for the environment. Keep grinding buddy. We'd love to see more videos from you. Sending love all the way from Malaysia!
Just a heads up. I’ve noticed your sawyer squeeze water filter had been pretty tough to squeeze water through. Which is great because it means the filter is working as intended! But after build up of contaminants/dirt the flow rate slows down and it requires a lot of force to filter water. This is the best time to use the syringe and back flush the filter to try and prevent the bag from failing. Also, you can just carry and plastic water bottle, screw the filter right on top and drink right from the filter. Fish on baby!
You are dialing in the adventure element--this is what makes a great survival catch and cook. The idea of testing your limits, putting yourself out there facing energy drain and hunger--audiences really enjoy seeing our hero beat the odds and live off the land. Now the next test is a 48 or 72 hour survival challenge. No food items just butter and spices! Love your work, brother! LIKED! 😀
Thank you so much man for capturing the most beautiful views of the world and sky with stars airy clouds with awesome rays of sunshine. It’s amazing the beauty you see and capture. Thanks to the creator too.
Love the channel!!! As far as your water system 2 things. The sawyer fits on the end of a smart water bottle and you can drink right from It. Also check out the cnoc outdoors 2 liter water container. Also compatible with the sawyer and way more durable and easier to fill. Keep up all the great content and stay safe!!! Happy trails!
A couple videos ago you asked if we knew any methods on catching these Alpine trout and I asked if you've ever used weighted bobbers with flys now your using it love it this technique destroys trout so good
Hands down, you’ve got the best channel on yt if it comes to catching fish, mushroom hunting and forging. Not only your content is fun to watch also you teach people a lot and the knowledge you have is awesome.
When I was younger living in Seattle I dedicated one whole summer to be up in those mountains as much as possible. My rent was 99$ a month and I washed dishes at a restaurant for 3 days and then would spend the other 4 up in the cascades. Head out after work get back just before work! One of the best moments in my life. I love those alpine lake areas. Total fairy land! These videos definitely inspire me to get out there some more! Thanks for sharing your journey, your enthusiasm and your respect for these beautiful places. You’re a good dude!

Of all your mountain adventures I have enjoyed watching this series the most. I know you had a great time because I had a great time watching this. THANKS
My son and I fished that same lake in August in the exact spot you are fishing in the video. We caught a bunch of cutts on spinners a flies. One of the prettiest lakes I’ve hiked to. Thanks for doing what you do. Keep it up brotha!
Just when I was watching your most recent video earlier, you surprise me with another upload! I was hoping you were doing well! Glad to see you're having a swell time! Your charisma and love for nature is something we should all aspire to have. FISH ON, BROTHER!

The best part of your adventures is that not a lot of people would love eating fish for every meal like you do. I appreciate how much you love eating fish. Loved the trip back with ya my dude
Great final installment for this series! My favorite segment might be the cooking starting at about 10:42 . That view in the background was stunning. So cool that you had the gear and the skills to share that meal in paradise with the world.
I found NWFS a month ago. I have been busy catching up on all your adventures, your joy every time you catch a fish is infectious. the scenery in the US mountains is spectacular and I love your mountain lakes, I live in new Zealand you would love to visit here, there are no animals here that will eat you unless you count mosquitoes, Great fishing here too. You are a great ambassador for the US out doors. keep up the great work.

A decent technique if you’ve never tried it, is to use a couple feet of tippet, and then tie on a fly that hangs back from your spinner. The spinner kind of gets the trouts attention, and then they see the fly a couple feet back and take it. You should give it a go!
