I am so grateful to you for this video. I was getting more and more frustrated doing buttonholes. After watching your video I believe I was touching the sensor as I was guiding the fabric. I went back to my machine and did 4 perfect ones 😊. Thank you so much

Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was very timely as I've made a summer dress and it needed buttonholes. I took your advice and looked through mu manual and indeed the instructions are very clear. I have to say my 9450 has produced the BEST buttonholes I have EVER sewn on a domestic machine.x

Yes! I haven't actually done a shirt yet but I have downloaded guitars and surfboards in preparation! (There are ordinary ones available too I just got a bit overexcited! ) I used the Embroidery Library.com just remember to always download as a JEF file. Xx

Hi. Thanks for your very informative video. Do you have any tips for stitching the tricky buttonhole on a collar stand? I always find that my machine gets stuck and I've never been able to produce a buttonhole that looks decent in that area. No problems whatsoever with any elsewhere on a garment. Hoping you can help.

You need to be brave in trimming the seams back inside as far as possible. Then press really well to flatten as much as possible(I have been known to use a hammer!) Then take the stitch length up very slightly and start on the furthest edge where it's at its flattest. If you have a stabilizer plate this can help but keep your speed low so you can ease it along.Do be careful not to hit the sensor though!
