Julia, I’ve tried to program my 9480 sewing machine with stitchcombinations and stitchwidth. Thank you for your tutorials about using those stitches. It makes me using the user manual more to try the possibilities of this great machine. Your tutorials are very helpful and it’s no problem if users don’t have the same model of Janome sewing machines. The only difference is that you need the possibilty of the machine for making stitch combinations and memory in a machine. Really fantastic to learn this by watching your great tutorials. ❤❤
Excellent tutorial! I had no idea about the bridging stitches! I will have to check and see if my machine has those. I don’t think my machine has that little screw you adjusted! I was surprised!
My name is Gloria Sutton. And I worked for Janome. For 27 years. In Oxford st I loved every working day. I have MC9000. And i use it everyday. Fond memories of Stockport and all the amazing staff. Im going back over 25 years. Amazing times
Thank you so much. Once again a fabulous demonstration of something I had absolutely no idea my machine could do! Well that's me busy for the next few weeks!
Really useful info, I love combining the graphic stitches, I use them primarily on bag handles to personalise it for the new owner. As a software Tutor , Tech manuals are a personal gripe of mine, I rarely come across one that tells you not only “what” but “why”. And you need both to get a good result. With that in mind, my machine is a MC6700p (which I LOVE 💕) so do you know if Janome has a chart of the stitches it can perform that not only shows what they are but also names them? Glad I’ve found your channel, Janome New Zealand 🇳🇿 dosnt do anything like this.
I'll check about the stitch chart.I know on my Atelier some are named on the screen but I often refer to a hand embroidery book I have for similar stitches in an attempt to not keep calling them the "curly wurly" one etc🤣
Depending on your machine You will either be able to memorize a lock stitch at the end of a pattern or if you can't do that on your model just press the lock stitch button as the last stitch in the pattern starts. Xx
I got 7700 because it had a wider sewing space for quilting. The problem is it’s more complicated to use the stitches. So my question is what machine is easier to use stitches. I have been watching this video and it looks like the mode button takes you to your stitches much easier. Are you familiar with my 77000. And what machine would you recommend. Thanks
As far as I recall the 7700 has modes too and once you select a mode you then use the dial to through the stitches and there are little pictures of each stitch as you go through. All Janomd machines have very similar stitch groupings so it shouldn't take you too long to get used to it. Maybe take a look at the video I did for the Seascape where I look at lots of stitches this are the sortvifcsmall projects that just get you used to finding your way around a new screen. Xx
I have just checked on my 4300qdc and they are the same so can give that a try, it will stick in my memory better if I try these out. Thank you. Can you save the patterns so they are still there when you switch of the machine.

That's wonderful Gloria! It's also lively to know you're still sewing on your 9000...it's always more than just a job isn't it? Xx
Thank you for the quick response I have been trying to do that for months. Frances Barrett

@@janomestitchclubuk I’ve tried searching for a list but just get the pictures! If you find one I’d really appreciate it. 😊
So informative. How do you know when you’ve finished a stitch pattern to avoid creating an
incomplete stitch please?

I will need to get a pic of my mums peg bag I did I also embroidered a iron too
Ooh please do! X
What atelier do you use I have the 6, I haven’t seen the washing items on mine. 😊
It's the 9 (sewing/embroidery combo) don't think the washing is on the 6 the house and tree is though and the flower ones! Xx

Not on that model I'm afraid but you could make a note of the numbers etc to speed up the process. Xx
Thank you

If I only wanted one of stitch no. 66 what do I have to do . Frances Barrett
Press the lock stitch ( looks like a target) after you start sewing and it will complete just one of the stitch. Xx
That’s pretty much what I did on a peg bag for my mum
