We know that with announcements like this, there are lots of questions that come. We have taken some time to think through some FAQ’s that will get you started. Please let us know if you have other questions as we move forward.
Staff Changes FAQ’s
1. How will Dom’s job change and are we losing him from student ministry? Dom's role will still include his leadership of Student ministry! This shift in role is one that adds Kid's ministry to the scope of Dom's pastoral leadership. Dom will be personally involved with various elements of student's and kids' ministry, while also empowering a gifted team of staff and volunteers to carry out Student and Kid's ministry in impactful ways among the next generation.
2. How would you define Caitlin’s new role as Director of Ministry Operations? That’s a great question and hard to communicate in a sentence, so we have attached the job description, so you understand the role. Our current growth has caused a stronger demand in administrative leadership so that our pastors can continue to shepherd the church spiritually. In short, Caitlin is behind the details and execution of just about every all-church, initiative, project, and event.
3. What exactly will Taylor Adkins be doing and when will her position start? Taylor will coordinate much of our Middle School ministry efforts as our part-time Middle School Ministry Coordinator. This includes leading Middle School discipleship programming, connecting events, and our Middle School volunteer leader team! Taylor won't transition into this new role until we have filled her current position, Elementary Coordinator, with another team member (who we are currently looking for)!
4. What will happen to the 4th and 5th grade ministry? Our 4th and 5th grade ministry will continue to be led by our Elementary Coordinator! We have ongoing plans to keep making this ministry the best it can be. Taylor plans on remaining present in the Sunday morning service that we have for 4th and 5th grade ministry at the 11 am service even after she starts her new role as the Middle School Ministry Coordinator.
5. What new position are we looking for in Kid’s Ministry? We are hiring a part-time Elementary Coordinator at 25 hours a week! This is a vital role to our Kid's ministry team!
