It is a working kitchen, not a museum. Especially in the summer I feel the kitchen is a continuous mess of fruits, vegetables, canning jars and supplies.
Thank you so much for sharing your family life and your experience with a dairy cow. So nice to so see such a wonderful family interacting and sharing chores etc. i love the clothesline! Thanks also for sharing your wonderful frozen yogurt and ice cream recipes! How nice of you to donate one of those ice cream machines!! That is an awesome gift. Love your property. It is spectacular.
I saw you bring the cow out. I continued working on my project, and pig noises were going on. I looked and you were still bringing a cow out. Upon closer look, I saw a pig😅😊 Too funny 😁 😂
Ok where do I start.... love your homestead, and that laundry line .. yes please! Now can we talk about that Frozen Yogurt & that glorious machine!? Oh my stars!!! Kitchen Bucket List, yes ma'am it's on it! Thanks for us this and sharing your recipe. These group collabs. always open my eyes to so much more. Bless you all.
“Getting outside every day and doing physical labor is a gift to you”! Like your recent video about finding self care and joy in your daily chores. I love this!!!! Kate, you are one of my top three social media folks I watch religiously. You have aided me in my dairy journey more than you’ll ever know. Thank you!!
I’ll definitely be making the frozen yogurt this week. I would love a Whynter ice cream maker! It’s always a win/win when there is a treat at the end of chores.
Amazing busy family! Thanks for sharing! My mom used to fasten matching socks with a safety pin with a piece of cloth on first so the socks didn’t get trapped in the pin bottom. That yogurt will be so yummy😋 Blessings to all🤗💜🇨🇦 Praying that you get adequate rain! We’re getting lots in central Alberta, where it’s now just above zero Celsius tonight.
Your frozen yogurt looks amazing! I enjoyed watching you milk your cow. I had to sell my Jersey quite a few years ago, & I miss her SO MUCH! I love my dairy goats but miss Fawn & her gallons & gallons of rich milk! Thank you for sharing your recipe & a glimpse of your life! God bless!
Aww the puppy is so cute..I'm like you, I want ice cream yesterday, not tomorrow 😂. I will definitely check out your recipes.😋I made some chocolate cherry jam to top off the ice cream. Thank you for donating the I've cream maker. So generous and sweet of you!! Beautiful home and family you have. The cow is beautiful 😍!wow, you're fast! Love the coffee filter idea, save on dishes. Love how you match the socks on the clothes line, makes perfect sense.! Glad to have met you through Angela's livestream.. . Yaay, Ice cream time!!! Yes please 😋🤤. Thank you very much for participating in the collaboration.
Another great video! I alway enjoy watching your videos, but am So excited that you participated in the #JuneIsDairyMonth2023 collaboration with us, and thank you for your AWESOME donations! Isn't it great when you can find a way to not only bribe your children, but make it a fun game to help clean up and then receive a treat in the end!
First time seeing your site because of this June dairy collaboration. I am enjoying your video. You made everything seem so natural & easy when I know it is not. Beautiful family interaction. Thank you SO much for sharing !!
I love the idea of “racing“ yourself to stack tasks! And you are so right! The cows keep me in a routine and force to me get up and get outside ! ❤ Your videos are always so informative! We are still new to dairy and working on committing to replacing all our dairy from The store
Thanks Kate for this video for this wonderful collaboration and this ice cream maker which I’m drilling over. I hope at least one of your viewers wins at the giveaway on July 5th at 5pm central time. Please comment folks for your chance to win some awesome prizes. Good luck everyone!
That’s a wonderful giveaway! For cows with flies, I have found spraying their legs and feet down with iodine keeps the flies at bay until I’m finished with milking. Love your clothesline! We have one very similar. We have ours mounted on an old light pole and other end mounted on the house so we can mow under it.
Love homemade frozen yogurt!! We just received a good 1.25 inches of rain 2 days ago after being without rain for about 6 weeks. The garden plants have just exploded with growth over the past days...it is gloriously appreciated. Hope you also receive your needed rainfall.
I love a plan on cleaning the kitchen. My hubby and I love ice cream. Love the clothes line rollers. Thank you for the inspiration to make yogurt ice cream.
I love blenders so much!! It makes such a difference in the kitchen!! I would love an ice cream maker! It's on my list for the year! How awesome of you to put one in for the prize at the end!! Thanks for sharing your life and skills with us Kate!!
Thought my ice cream maker was great until I saw yours . . . Glad I found your channel. ( I think your son might have been stretching up a bit!) Excellent contribution to this great collab. Thanks so much.
Hi! My first time here for the #juneisdairymonth23 collaboration! What a beautiful farm you have. Funny catching the boys playing games😂 I absolutely love your clothesline setup! So clever!! Thank you for sharing the ice cream making and what a wonderful thing to donate your Ice cream maker as a prize. Very generous of you!!
I love the real-life of your kitchen, your pooped-on cows, and your growing kids! As I’ve been watching your old videos it is fun to see how your kids have grown over the years 😊
Every year watching your summer ice cream videos, I put an ice cream maker on our list! I love your no fuss recipe(s,) they make life do-able! God bless you and your family!
Hello, new to your channel, from the collab. Im enjoying this June is dairy month - learning so much. Thank you for sharing info about how you got started and wow cant believe someone gave you a dairy cow. Thats awesome. Love the laundry line. Frozen yogurt looks so good, I can almost taste it. Nice treat for everyone's hard work. Thanks again for you contribution to the collaboration and nice to meet you!
💚 I just live watching you milk the cow..I cannot squat like that! Frizen yogurt looks yummy. I have frozen peaches from last summer to use and want to make ice cream..in my Osterizer-type machine..ypur machine is very cool!😅💚
Takes a bit a practice to get squatting to milk, I worked my way through small buckets to sit on. Its a great way to milk. Peaches make a delicious ice cream!
I came across your channel when looking for different ways to fix venison. My family harvest several deer each year which is our main source of meat. I am always looking for more/different ways to use it. I love watching your videos even though they are not about making venison. The frozen yogurt looks delicious!
Thank you Kate for another wonderful video! I have followed for a bit but haven't commented before. We recently got our family milk cow, and I watched most of your videos before we got her home. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and the amazing giveaway 🍨
Hi Kate! That has to be the most efficient laundry system I've ever seen, might try to do something similar. I also love how having animals get you outside my chickens have improved my life so much and that's one of the biggest reasons. Thanks for another day with your family😘
Thank you for the video! So much good information as always! I realized that I wasn’t subscribed to your newsletter so I went in your website and I just have to say wow! I got really distracted in the recipe space. So good! 😊
That's an awesome list of accounts, and I of course want that ice cream maker! You for sure need to get a lucky ticket! Cows in and ready to milk is a win!🎉🎉
I’ll definitely be checking out that I’ve cream maker. I have a Cusinart that came with my husband when we got married 15 years ago 😂 I have dairy goats and am making yogurt as I type- I’ll be trying your recipe, thanks!
Thats a really nice ice cream maker!! Love it! I have a rivel 2 quart and a carey 6 quart, it's hand crank though!! Unless I buy the motor!! Thanks for sharing your yogurt ice cream recipe! 😍
OOooo!! I already enjoy you and your channel. That's bonus that you are donating an ice cream maker! While watching all of these videos in the collab I thought I might try to start with ice cream. Good to know that I probably should invest in that machine to begin with (if I don't win one! haha)
A machine definitely makes a big difference but there are some recipes on my blog that don’t require an ice cream maker venisonfordinner.com/no-churnno-cook-perfect-every-time-ice-cream/
Kate, thank you for sharing your life with us! I look forward to your videos each week. I am also thinking about getting a cow because it is illegal to sell raw milk in Ky too.
Lovely video again. Maybe it is time to get a new ice cream maker. Love watching cow milking even though I milk my dairy goats each day, and cherry is my favorite flavor.
Here in south central alaska we have had nothing but rain and cold this spring. My garden is not growing, it need a little warmth. We finally had a couple days of sun and now its forcasting rain again. Oh well at least its not 20 below right? Ill take sorta summer over winter any day.😊
Thanks so much for the recipe! I currently am milking my first cow and I’m having trouble using up all the milk. I really like yogurt but can’t always keep up with eating it all.
While watching this, I am literally making ice cream in this same ice cream maker. I usually run 2-3 batches back to back and freeze the extra. Then when we run out we do it again.
TH-cam algorithm 🤷♀️🤦🏻♀️🤬. Why I’m not getting notifications or anything from several of my fav channels 😩 well glad I just searched for you to see what’s up🤪. Fun collab so I’ve got some catching up to do! That maker looks way better than mine-I rarely use it cause it kinda sucks🫤
One day i would really love to get a cow to milk and make my own cheeses😋 and ice-cream with real cream of course😆 i grew up with milk cows as a child and have amazing memories feeding and milking them thanks kate for inspiring me again ❤
It's not a kit. You just buy the pulleys, laundry line and crimps in a hardware store. At least up in Canada that's what most people do. Not sure on the length but it has to be at least 50 feet long?
It is a working kitchen, not a museum. Especially in the summer I feel the kitchen is a continuous mess of fruits, vegetables, canning jars and supplies.

Welcome back! This is a great ice cream maker. Worth saving up for. if ice cream is your thing.
Dairy cow is still on wish list, it isn't on hubby's list though. But I haven't lost my drive yet, it just isnt the season. Till then I'll learn :)

Fro yo! Can’t wait to try this recipe!
Thanks for explaining the wynter ice cream maker, i have beed wondering what the difference was. 😊

Well thank you for joining us here!
Hey Kate, did you get some rain this week too? We did and we live close ish to the Alberta/BC border.
Yes! we did get some rain.
I'm interested in learning the brand and length of your clothesline. I need one!
It's not a kit. You just buy the pulleys, laundry line and crimps in a hardware store. At least up in Canada that's what most people do. Not sure on the length but it has to be at least 50 feet long?
I need to know where you got those metal laundry clips!
Lee Valley. Stainless steel and they last forever!!
Don’t forget to show us the fire hose sometime ❤️ I’d find it interesting
I will for sure!
Thanks for sharing your recipe. B
You are welcome !
