This is going to seem strange, but if I try to play safe, simple football I play much worse and make more mistakes than by using skills and risky or more difficult techniques. Example, I have more chance of scoring with a Rabona chip than a simple laces shot, I think it's probably just because some players play better when they're not thinking about the game and let their instincts guide them
When i was a bit younger i felt uncomfortable when they played the ball to me even tho i was pretty good. Now i dont want anything else beside playing the ball to me (im a midfielder btw) and what i noticed is just my confidence maybe cuz of better ball control idk Good luck tho u got this
@Lezzyy when you panic what you should do is that start feeling your senses look here and there, smell the air, what's the flavour in your tounge?, are you warm, cold, normal or sweaty? Hear the things around you. We panic bcz either we failed in past aur afraid of failing these things brings you to the present.
To avoid losing the ball • Head-scan all the time • Play simple football when necessary • Know your strengths (e.g. 1v1s past a defender) •Be composed and confident on the ball. Hope this helped bro.
Losing the ball may not just be up to you, your team could be in bad positions leaving you few passing options, and you might trying to do too much or your a one trick pony, if you don't have an arsenal of skills you can use to be unpredictable, just play simple balls and occasionally the dribble ect
Don't be. Try playing with your friends where everyone can well, in my language, f**k around (don't say things I said aight) don't take that game serious and focus on having fun, the easiest way is performing skills crosses and trick-shots. Or, ask them to play panna or futsal with you. That's how I built my confident. Also like @christian velluto stated, head-scan the field all the time, it's really crucial, especially if you're a midfielder. Good luck.
Same, my main foot is right so I practiced shooting with the left. Now I completely suck at shooting with the right but weird enough my right foot has better touch than my left
As a tip for anyone of any age starting football: MOVE. YOUR. ARMS. I cannot stress how crucial this is. If your kicking without moving your arms you won't be able to get your body behind it, making the pass/shot inaccurate/powerless. If you're running at defence or at an attacker and you need to keep them off the ball you need to hold them back with your arm. If they go down there's nothing you can do about it, they're a diver and it only proves you're better than them. Not moving your arms is one of the worst mistakes you can make.
I'm one of the bigger kids on my team (U15) and I swear half of my teammates don't do this and consistently lose the ball to equal/bigger sized opponents just bc they were fearful to body them. very good point.
Yes bro almost every stronger and bigger player in my team does it in melee and gets advantage. Thanks for the tips, it will help me out a lot but somehow I manage to get past them even though I am a small player.
When i was playing for a u19 bundesliga team, my biggest mistake was to let myself get discouraged a lot, surrounding myself with those who didn‘t encourage me and i didn‘t work as hard as i should. Try to work on your confidence, work ethic and play A LOT.
When I was kid I only tired to score nothing was important for me, I would play selfish and loose the ball, my teammates would get fed up of me but now I understand teamwork and unselfish mind wins the game, not matter how tough it can be. And thank you for your video nice channel ....
Keep your head up when dribbling. Glance down at the ball but spend more time looking up and around so you can find a pass or space that you can run into.
Like all these guys said, constantly look up when you know where the ball is first. Then there on you can make what you think the right decision is after spotting all your teammates and, the opposition's players. This is so simple yet, it's hard to do because you aren't confident on the ball most of the time and pressuring defenders just makes it hard for you to look for teammates. If you have that cool then this is something not that hard to do. If you don't, well, work on it some way or the other then try developing something else onwards.
Figure out ur strenghts as a midfielder is it driving into the box or directing the pace or taking on players, After you have done that try to always place urself on the field where u can receive the ball to do one of these, Ofc as a central mid u cant always run out to the sideline beacuse u want to take on a player, But u could try to find space somewhere between a player in a dangerous area where u could either take on a player or find a deadly pass.. And also like he said in this video it does come with experiense you will have good and bad games just make sure u learn from each of them and not being afraid of making mistakes. ( Midfielders should strive to master all these 3 ofc so they can adapt to the situation) Good luck ;p these things u prob alrdy know but maybe i gave u something to reflect on this topic. Also what position are u playing as mid and is it 11v11? :)

This video is pretty good. One of the most important issues discussed was confidence. This is something that is so important that affects every part of the game and training.
I agree with the last statement because I was in a soccer club in 1st grade but left it due to a bad sickness and not being able to play. I always look back and wonder what I could’ve been to this day if I would’ve continued it. Now 8 years later I regret not going back to it.

Not only will it allow you to pass/ shoot/ control without having to adjust your body, but you will find that simply having the ball at your feet will feel a whole lot more natural. Then you can focus more on looking up and assessing your situation and surroundings. Train your weak foot!! Lol
Hey Jay Mike! Thanks for the awesome tips! Still learning at 30! But have boot query for you! A question about the half-moon/semi-conical stud pattern on the Nemeziz 18.1. Does that pattern/shape create more traction for pushing OFF only? But less traction/stick than normal blades when turning/rotating? I'm returning from an ACL injury, and love the Nemeziz fit and feel, but don't want something too aggressive. Will these give a similar experience to FULL-conical studs in terms of turning/stepping? Do the half-moon part make any real difference or pose any overly-aggressive risk?

I have a rough history. You see when I was younger, I would spend the whole day outside practicing my football skills to improve. I enjoyed it, also being one of the best players in the club, I had a mix of rhonaldinio and Roberto firmino’s playstyle. Where I assist so many goals and when I score, it would be the spectacular goals. But when I was 11, I moved to a different city and I couldn’t practice for almost a year. When I finally found a club, which is fcb Barcelona’s accademy in Canada, I lost so many of my skills that I was bullied of trying to do something I didn’t know how to do. I left the academy at 12 years old, where I have no club right now. Just playing with my friends for fun. I miss playing competitive football, but I destroyed my career by moving to a different city, and the bullying made me depressed. Right now I’m 13, trying to save my career as a footballer, slowly regaining the strength thanks to these football tips. Thank you so much for these videos. There helping me save my career so keep it up 🙏🏻👍
Bro relax that when i started really focusing football as my career. U have planty of time. Some pros just start at 15. Start training ragularly and be very dedicated. I am very antisocial and just dedicate to training with small group of friends or my team. I guess that how i choose to live but moral is if u want it. You have so much capabilities to do it. Watch and read a lot about Football in general. Learn tactics players and about ur position as well. Eat a lot of healthy foods and sleep well analyse ur mistakes.
I am 14 right now and i do the same things. I am always nervous because i want to be usefull to the team. I will work on it and hopefully be a better player 😁
1:55 im a winger who likes to take 1-2 touches and play a one two with someone and run into the space behind the fullback or I'll put in a cross if we are more in the box then the opposition team. I will try and challenge someone if there is no other option. But the video is helpfull and will try and be more confident btw im 14
Confidence is a big one. If you’re on a team that discourages you for messing up you’re playing in a stressful environment which is very hard to do. My club team is very nice and encourages you to try new things. Everyone likes each other. But my school team is discouraging and I was probably one of the worst players there because I couldn’t pass straight with all the pressure.
I'm a 15 year old left winger who makes mistakes and this video help me to realize a lot of things I do wrong thank you for the video unisport and continue to help players all around the world
Thanks for the advice I’m a lb and since you’re advice I’m confident to take on 4 players in my penalty box and I keep it simple when I have gotten past them I scan my surroundings and do a long ball
For me one of the biggest tips I can give is always try to stay composed even when you’re under pressure you play way better and also always shoulder check it will help you a lot
I didn't start playin football when i was a kid because i wasn't good at it so i avoided playing but now after years of training i found that hardwork beats talent and i am a good player😇 all u have to do is train and train.
im a winger and got back into football 2 years ago (im 14). My teammates have played for 6 years longer than me but I have improved to their level in terms of passsing, game sense, touch and such. The only thing that I really want to improve is my dribbling. I can sometimes take on peopel 1v1 and succeed, but there are just so many situations where I'm not sure what to do. If I'm approaching a defender, I know what to do and the only thing holding me back is my mechanical skill, but if I'm for example pressured in a corner then it's sometimes hard to to know what to do. I don't know many skills so I usually just tuck the ball to the side of the defender since I'm faster than most people. Sometimes I do overstep but I haven't really practiced it.
This really helped I'm injured right now but in a few weeks I can finally play football again so I'm trying out for my old team and I've just realised I'm always looking down so thanks guys
Agree. First, try things and believe in yourself. If others say you are bad/shit at football, it really is true.. as long as you believe them. Just try things and play with your head, what I mean isnt only to know tactics, I mean it is just a ball and it will always behave the same way if you do exact the same thing, just be the ball. 3rd one, copy big players.. I didnt know how to shoot and I always did weak groundshots but by watching Ibrahimovic and learning from his videos I gained quite a good shot with pretty good effet. Sadly I had an gras allergie and not enough time for sitting on the bench when I was in a team with 1-2 years older guys.. so I stopped and only played like 10 times afterwards and just for fun or in school
oh and stay calm.. I always tended to rather shoot the ball as far ass possible when under little pressure... I was a rb at that time and passed a lot to the st/lw ... Also, make usuage of your body, espacially in kids age.. dont foul others but use youre body because most in kids age, they just dont do it
well ive already got my left strong i started practicing with it when i was 10 now my left is almost as good as my right it just lacks a bit of accuracy and control but shot power is fine
The part about keeping composure and a cool head feels so recognisable. During training and casually playing with friends, I could often dribble the whole team because then I didn't feel any pressure. During the competitive games over the weekend, I suddenly felt fear to mess up, which resulted in my brain completely freezing and getting tunnel vision whenever I received the ball. A big part of this comes from coaches that don't encourage children to take risks. Instead they criticize children when they try something that fails for not picking the safest option.
I love your message For the next video, I suggest "How to decrease the fear of being shout at by team mate's" or"how to escape from a small space with a defender" I am a big fan of you.
I can attest to learning to play with your weaker foot, I was a natural right footed player like most others and it was hard for me to get into the team and only a Left Wing position was available. I trained hard with my left foot and not it has become the more dominant feet of mine. Too many players are reliant on one foot and become too predictable. Just last night I was playing turf futsal with some friends, they were telling each other to guard my left side as they thought I was only left footed. Turned out I scored 3 and 2 were with my right, each time reminding them it was from my "weaker foot". *We won 3-1.*
Thanks for the tips, I'm telling that to my kids and their teammates , have fun and talk to each other. The one I could add is as a coach, I tell the kids that my job is to watch the other team and pass any information back so they can adjust their game, not my game because I'm not playing
Im so grateful to my coach that helps me improve alot. After training started again i started playing a lot better. I was always stressed when i got that ball and i would play it safe but now i could dribble a lot better and know when i should play it safe and when i need to dribble

Eat a lot of healthy foods and sleep well analyse ur mistakes.
dude you still young very very young , go back to the club and keep the hard working , and dont give f*ck for their opinions

Fun fact only one person can be first
And that was me
We must call a detective to figure this out
Love ur videos unisport
It helps me alot
Pkease just do something goalkeeper related
Yeah...
I learned to play on this pitch where you filmed. Thanks for taking me back to my childhood
I didn’t see the weak foot tutorial pop up lol
Like if u also didn’t see it
I'm a 15 year old left winger who makes mistakes and this video help me to realize a lot of things I do wrong thank you for the video unisport and continue to help players all around the world
Thanks for the advice I’m a lb and since you’re advice I’m confident to take on 4 players in my penalty box and I keep it simple when I have gotten past them I scan my surroundings and do a long ball
For me one of the biggest tips I can give is always try to stay composed even when you’re under pressure you play way better and also always shoulder check it will help you a lot
Im so thankfull for having 4-6 coaches and so many great youtubers helping me
What pwg said was very deep and useful
All these tips would really help me , thank you so much unisport !
2:08 was very helpful for me
I didn't start playin football when i was a kid because i wasn't good at it so i avoided playing but now after years of training i found that hardwork beats talent and i am a good player😇 all u have to do is train and train.
im a winger and got back into football 2 years ago (im 14).
Just the best Football Channel
I wonder how many of these videos im going to save to watch later and watch over and over this guys like the fifa analyst of actual football
This really helped I'm injured right now but in a few weeks I can finally play football again so I'm trying out for my old team and I've just realised I'm always looking down so thanks guys
Football is just a game. That’s so refreshing to hear!! Sometimes I forget.
Also, make usuage of your body, espacially in kids age.. dont foul others but use youre body because most in kids age, they just dont do it
Everything he mentioned is exactly what I am doing right now... thank you for sharing.
well ive already got my left strong i started practicing with it when i was 10 now my left is almost as good as my right it just lacks a bit of accuracy and control but shot power is fine
They know they couldn't make it to professional,so they are trying to help the youth. RESPECT.
Instead they criticize children when they try something that fails for not picking the safest option.
love it, Really helpful thnx Unisport
Great stuff and great channel
I love your message
For the next video, I suggest "How to decrease the fear of being shout at by team mate's" or"how to escape from a small space with a defender"
I am a big fan of you.
One more i would add is to find the spaces to receive the pass..always move around and make yourself available.. cheers
Thanks, you just helped me so much
Especially the advice about freestyle
Thank you this video was very helpful, I needed it 🤝
NOW YOU ARE DOING THE BEST THING THAT IS HELPING OTHERS, MUCH TO LOVE TO YOU
Thanks i really needed this
Thanks Men this really helps a lot. 👍🏿👊🏿⚽
Thanks! Now I know what to do when we play matches.
I want to be a pro. It's my dream! 🔥🔥🏃♂️
*We won 3-1.*
tysm unisport i am versing r77 in two weeks and i hope all your videos and my training pays off. Wish me luck!!
Wtf r77 is a missile
Amazing video really like it
thanks unisport for motivating.❤️❤️
Thank God we have unisport in our time otherwise no one would have told this to us
Bro you have made me one of the best player in my team and a leader thank you
Thanks for letting me know that football is a game of fun and not to take it too serious and its all gonna workout.👏
These tips are really helpful....Thanks a lot man❤️👊🏽
Such a helpful vid since I have a game tomorrow ❤️❤️
Thanks for the tips, I'm telling that to my kids and their teammates , have fun and talk to each other. The one I could add is as a coach, I tell the kids that my job is to watch the other team and pass any information back so they can adjust their game, not my game because I'm not playing
Im so grateful to my coach that helps me improve alot. After training started again i started playing a lot better. I was always stressed when i got that ball and i would play it safe but now i could dribble a lot better and know when i should play it safe and when i need to dribble
