I did that same trip last summer. Watching your video brought back so many memories. I saw a few Moose on that trip. Really enjoyed this video and it definitely has me missing Colorado. 👍
Your video is a big reason I wanted to get out there... I remember it from right when I moved back here to CO. Thank you for the comment... stay safe out there.
Such a cool trip and presentation that you did to highlight it. That hidden river was way cool. Awesome views of some spectacular mountains. Glad you got out on your solo trip. Take care and be safe.
Fantastic video! I'm looking into hitting the Lost Creek Wilderness for a 3-day / 2-night trip. What route would be your recommendation? Since I'm getting dropped off, I can do loop, out-and-back or point to point. Thanks!
GREAT SCOTT'S!!🤣🤙 hey most excellent adventure, this was really awesome your shooting angles, trail cooking, generally speaking to us.. well done brother I ENJOYED(= Random fun fact: Moose pebbles make the BEST fire starters when dried out!!!
Thanks, brother! I appreciate the comment, and am trying to get different camera angles for sure. I have even hear that moose dropping smell good when burned... almost like incense :)
Enjoyed the video, great views. Will be taking a 3 day/2 night trip myself at a local state park (TN) in a couple of weeks. Wanted to ask how you are enjoyed the Trekker 1? Also, did you seam seal it and if so with what product? I have an LL Bean single person ultra light that I got used (with some North Face sleeping bag). But it weights just over 4 lbs and I would like to get smaller and lighter if possible. Really considering the Trekker 1.
I really like the trekker tent 1, but it is a single wall tent, so just know there will be some condensation. The seams all came taped and sealed very well... you probably want to spray whatever tent you end up getting with waterproofing.
Restless Wonderer thanks for the feedback. If I do get one (plan to) I’ll share how it does for me and definitely will spray it. Finding out that’s just good practice regardless of the cost of the tent. Keep the videos coming.
So finally got my Trekker 1 of Father’s Day and took it out the following weekend. I really like though I have to get better at pitching it. The back corners lay low but getting better. Thanks for your review it definitely made a difference in seeing the +/- of the tent. Thanks again. Keep the videos coming.
Nice video! My wife, daughter and I hike this all the time. However, if this was shot in 2020, I'm shocked you started a fire since there's been a fire ban all year. Be smart about fire in these wilderness areas.
There was no fire ban when this video was filmed... stopped and talked with rangers on the way in. They put a campfire ban in place a few weeks after this, which has since been stage 2 most of the summer. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! It means I picked a really bad name that people have a hard time searching, lol. It was a play on Restless Wanderer... I feel like change is the only constant we have in this life, and I try to find positive progression through that constant change. Restless because I always try to be "doing", and Wonderer because I try to keep that childlike amazement for life through exposure and learning.
Thanks for that, I knew it must be more than a 'typo' 😂 Love to be able to visit some of those places. U.K. Has some nice spots , but not much wilderness to share between us.
There is a campfire ban everywhere now, but not when I did this loop. I stopped at the rangers and they had the fire danger as "low" that week. Last week we car camped on the front range, and had to use a propane fire pit due to the restrictions.
@@RestlessWonderer thanks for clarification. Headed out there in a couple weeks to do the loop. Looks like the area will be getting a lot of rain so hopefully it gets lifted.
Hello we hope all is well and that you have had a great week . what a great hike . thanks for taking us along with you . Kind Regards Sarah and Glenn
Thanks for the comment!
Hope all is well with you guys also.
Moose scat for sure. June 2020, I was in the Texas Creek side of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness. when three came galloping through my camp.
Beautiful hike with George our views! Great video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe!
Thanks!
Taking my 6, 9, 11 yo's out on that exact loop in 2 weeks, glad to see it was such a great trek! thanks for sharing
You guys are going to have a blast, and I am sure will be a lifelong memory for them... stay safe out there!

I just got back from the Mt. Evans Wilderness, and it is crazy how different they are... and they are literally just on opposite sides of Bailey.

Thanks, dude. Will see you soon, and appreciate the comment.
Love those mountains!
Me too :)
Super hike... Great trail and awesome beauty... The snow is just starting to come off here below 10K .
The smell of spring was in the air! Soon I will be cursing the heat and will forget how hard the cold is, lol.
@@RestlessWonderer The heat I can tolerate..I don't like cold... LOL

The shorter loop was nice this time due to the weather, but I think I am going to do the longer loop this year. Have fun and stay safe!
That's a great looking trail. I love the views 👍
It was a beautiful area... thanks for the comment.
Great video man looked like an awesome hike with amazing views.
Thanks, dude. It was a very cool place.
Fantastic trail. Interesting trail food wonder if available in UK.
Thank you, and am not sure.
Nice👍 love doing solo trips like that.great video!
Thanks, brother. I find it easier to push for miles when I am with someone else, but there is something about being out there in it solo.

Do you dehydrate your own vegetables at home or do you buy them pre-dyhdrated?
Great video.

There is a campfire ban everywhere right now... not back when I did this loop.
