When I was in high school, two guys got into an argument and were face to face, fingers out pointing at each other, and probably would have started throwing if they weren't just outside the school office. Principal walks up, coming back from teaching a class and says "hold that pose while I grab my camera!" EVERYone burst out laughing. It was the perfect de-escalation.
As a Zurich resident who uses the same sections of the route as in the video for Long Run, I thank you for producing such great promotion for us with the video😍
Fun to see you in Zurich as a Zurich born&raised! PS: all the water from fountains in Switzerland is drinking water unless explicitely stated otherwise. Nice to see you enjoyed!
Ha, I think you are right. It is Colin Jackson. The way he adjusts his glasses and his smile are a telling sign ☺. I had to rewind and watch it again to be sure, but you caught it well!
Great video again, and happy to see you picked one of the nicest routes along the lake. The bridge at "Rote Fabrik" is always very scenic. And glad to see you enjoyed your run! Come back soon!
No way you're in Switzerland the week I decided to leave to Italy for the summer holidays. Man I would have loved to run with you while you were around. I hope you enjoyed your time in our tiny country.
Great to see you having fun in my hometown. We actually met up at the lake once with Seth De Moor for a group run. One of my favourite spots is up on the hills in the woods, overlooking the city. Let us know when you're here next time and we take you there for a scenic long run.
What an awesome video, shoes off Zurich on its best light. Think you’ve just been short listed by several tourist board advertising department in many countries.
Another great video! You always make it so involved and we can feel the excitement. I do want to know where you got that sweatshirt at minute 14:48 of the video.
Next diamond league event are the finals in Brussels on the 13th and 14th of September, if you are still in Europe and could attend. Otherwhise, I suggest you tune in to watch. it will be great!
Merci beaucoup (funny seeing you star struck , was the same last year in London .. where I fluffed introducing myself to Paula Radcliffe, happens to us all)
5:07 Typo in on-screen graphic. His first name is Armand (not Armond) despite the Mondo nickname. Also, this video chapter says Kirsten when it should say Karsten. Still, we get the gist, and it is a great video.
Love the video. As always, amazing work Mike. Besides playing host to Diamond League, is Zurich like a big ‘running’ city with various running community and a big marathon that you can participate in?
It absolutely is! Aside from the beautiful lake and picturesque old town, which always make for a great running route, there are numerous smaller mountains and forests, where you can do some trail running and get rewarded with fantastic views. Uetliberg being the most famous one. And of course there is the Zurich Marathon, taking place every year in April. Come and visit, it's worth it. :)
Yo, what’s going on!! I think we need a Diamond 💎 League series or something. Watching them every once in awhile is not enough 🤷🏻♂️🙈😁. So cool that you could enjoy this ok. I predicted that Mondo would win, but i was a bit of with the time 🤦🏻♂️ 10.07 😆
Journalists are not fans they are supposed to report reality neutrally and non biased. So not applauding makes perfectly sense. I know american media is very different.
yeah, um. this was a press conference for a novelty race. they're reporting on people literally running around for fun. I respect what they do, but sports journalists take themselves way too seriously sometimes.
Just in time before I start my early morning recovery run before work. Bit smoky over here in socal. Stay safe everyone who is in the SOCAL area, lots of fires here 🔥
I usually don't announce myself in cities where I won't be able to support a group run or don't know if schedule will permit a meet up. but I do talk about my upcoming travels on the Kofuzi Run Club livestream channel and people can see my run locations on strava. so I get DMs sometimes from locals and if there's an opportunity to meet (like I met up with someone at the stadium in this video), I try to make it happen.
Great stuff! I'm playing for a second time right now. Is the shoe they gave you the same as the orange super trainer? Or is it the same as the racing version of that? Something new altogether?
it is the same as the orange Deviate Nitro that I also wore during this trip (although I believe it is a few grams lighter because white uppers weigh less than heavily dyed ones)

Zurich is a great place to run (someone later informed me that the wc along the lake are a great place to refill bottles)
Fun to see you in Zurich as a Zurich born&raised!

we did see a lot of people drinking from those fountains later on, but RunningShoesWorld just wanted to be safe
@@kofuzi understandably!
I love the Runner’s weekend videos!!! 😄🤩
Thanks for watching!
Oh, wish I knew you were here, would've been fun to meet or even run together!
"The host", that was Colin Jackson, right? Bit of a GB 110m hurdling legend. 🇬🇧
Ha, I think you are right. It is Colin Jackson. The way he adjusts his glasses and his smile are a telling sign ☺. I had to rewind and watch it again to be sure, but you caught it well!
@@denitsakoeva9242 thought so 😊
Thx for taking me on another runner’s weekend, you’re the best. Jim Freeland
Surreal seeing some of my go to run routes. Great video and looked like an amazing time!
It was nice to see all the places where I run regularly. Unfortunately, our runs missed each other. It would have been cool to meet.
maybe next year!
Great video again, and happy to see you picked one of the nicest routes along the lake. The bridge at "Rote Fabrik" is always very scenic. And glad to see you enjoyed your run! Come back soon!
That spot was so lovely
Wow! This looks like a fantastic event.
It was a lot of fun

Just Wonderful, thank you so much for putting this together.
Thanks for watching!

Thank you Mike.
"float down the river to commute back home" that sounds like the best commute ever
Imagine: run commute to work and then float trip the way back.
@@kofuzi 😂😂 That sounds amazing. Even just finishing a workout and floating back home after 🙌🏼
People don't usually notice, but you have a great taste in music! Very nice European poppy songs sprinkled throughout the city scenes.
I try to match the music to the location when possible
Welcome to Zurich hope you had a great time
I did!
a host... Colin Jackson gold medalist & world record holder...
no one ever introduced him. and I apologize for not being familiar

Katie Moon is like a real life super hero. She can basically fly.

Thank you for letting me know. Auto correct doesn’t like European names, it seems
Phantastic video
thanks!
Runningshoesworld had a absurd prediction

The Hunger Games comparison took me by surprise! 😂
as soon as our tour guides said "12 districts" I looked around the group to see if anyone else made the connection. no one did tho

fun stuff
Zurich is a fun city; we used to go there regularly on our orchestra tours. Thanks for another excellent Runner’s Weekend episode.
You need to go to Monaco!
That would be a lot of fun!
“The results don’t mean anything” … the results are MASSIVELY important for the athletes career and financial livelihood.
you're preaching to the choir
Nice glasses
Looking for running glasses recommendations, what are the ones he’s wearing around the lake 😮
blenders, I believe
Athlete intros: 1st…2nd… Karsten Warholm - lost a bet 😂😂😂
