I love my little sweet talk too. I have her in the same color. All my wigs make me feel younger , but there is something different I feel when wearing sweet talk. She makes me feel glamorous like Marilyn Monroe. I wore her to work and without my saying anything, a coworker said "it makes you look like Marilyn Monroe". :)

What color is Patti wearing in soft and subtle???
Could you also show how to layer the back right around the bottom? It looks like the layering in the back stops too soon. I think it should be layered just a little as it just looks like it needs it in my opinion. Or, maybe how to cut it to create more wispy tendrils all around the bottom, but primarily at the front?

julie franklin Just thought I would help you out, just in case Patti doesn't see your question:) The wig she is wearing at the beginning of this video is called "Soft And Subtle" by Gabor. It's a lot like the "Sweet Talk," but a little longer. Hope this helps!!

Yes, just be sure to use thinning shears and be very careful with human hair

Is your Sweet Talk by Gabor heat friendly? I mean just a touch of heat to get it to manage. Could that wig construction be changed to lace front? I would want to change my parts from either side and the middle. I don't know if this would be under customize wig. I really want that wig. Rough estimate please. Thank you
Hello! Sweet Talk by Gabor is made with regular synthetic fibers, not the heat friendly/heat defiant fibers. Sweet Talk has a lace front and monofilament part, so unfortunately you cannot change the part.
It lifts up your whole face! I want that!

Yes, the serrated edge goes against the cap of the wig. Push down as tightly
as possible and you will not end up with those little hairs sticking out

Is it possible to have dirty bangs on Sweet Talk ?
Hi Janis!
Bangs can be cut into just about any wig, although they may not lay correctly at first. We would only advise cutting dirty bangs into your Sweet Talk if you feel comfortable in doing so! Typically we advise using a steamer to help the bangs lay correctly, but since the Sweet Talk is a curly style, the steamer will remove the curl in the steamed areas (temporarily, it will return after washing). If this happens, after steaming, you can use cold rollers to restore curl in the desired curl pattern.
On Gabor videos I see them use stying product but wig websites I buy from don’t have Gabor styling products. Can anyone direct me to a website I can purchase their products please. I’m in Australia so must be a website. Thanks.

i just ordered sweet talk in gl23 101, super blonde, i'm scared that it won't look good... plus i have a bone to pick with the powers that be.... i had NATURAL beach waves in my long hair, alas those days are gone, i did that pinch to get it up out of my forehead when i had longer bangs... anyway, i loved having curls by my face!, now on EVERY SINGLE wavy bob wig i see, everybody runs their fingers though the front and gives the wig an awful looking farah fawcet look at the front, the 70s were not good for LOOKING GOOD... i watched your video for some idea of how to get the waves around my face and i have to ask you, can i twist it like you did when you were thinning it out and put some product on it when it's twisted and have it hold the 'twisty spiral?' please tell me that you can or this wig will probably get returned as i have no desire for farah hair... oh and i bought a trendsetter wig from you and that was abbout May 12th and it's now the 30th and i'm waaaaiting lol.... anyway, can i twist it and put something in it? i would rather look like mila jovovich in the 5th element than one of charlie's angels :) any advice would be appreciated... GREATLY appreciated xoxoxox
The best way to add curl/wave is to wrap the hair (however much you want to do) around either a cold curling iron, a cold roller , even a pencil if you wanted the curl to be small and then apply steam with a hand held steamer. After you apply the steam, you want to leave it curled up until it cools completely otherwise the curl want hold. The best thing is to clip the curl up so that it stays that way for a few hours and then let it down and apply products. This is very easy to do but it definitely takes practice. You may not get it right the first time but keep trying and you will. Don't do this unless you plan on keeping the piece as you wouldn't be able to return it. A steamer is a synthetic wig's best friend!!! It can be used for styling as well as making the fiber healthy again.

Hi Patti! I just love you to death! I think you're a Texas girl too, aren't you? As a new wig wearer, I was totally lost and you have taught me (and many others apparently) so much but I have a question: In another video on thinning you talk about pulling the top layer up and clipping it away so it can lay over the hair that is thinned hair to look more natural. In this one though, you don't. You thin the top layer without setting it aside. I just received Julianne, a similar wig as you know, but I'm nervous to use this technique since nothing will cover any of my mistakes if I make them. Can I do it the other way on a wavy wig? That is pulling up the top layer and clipping it aside, thinning underneath. Love to hear what you think and thanks in advance if you can answer this!
By using that method, it will cause the curl pattern to lay differently which would change the look of the wig's style. If you are nervous about thinning it yourself, I would consider taking it to a professional who can better thin it for you.
If you don't thin it just the way Patti shows you, the wig will have obvious little "chunks" of hairs (the hair not cut by the thinning shears) sticking up and through your style. I made that mistake and it really ruined the look and behavior of that wig. Hope this helps.
