Jak tam tylko dają aromat, mam jadalne róże w ogródku i jak zrobiłem konfiturę z płatków to myślałem że będę srał tęczą ze szczęścia. Z drugiej strony, taki paczek by musiał kosztować z 20, 30 zł.

That cheese you ate is called oscypek and there's plenty of variations of it. You should try some from a cart situated outside od the main tourist destinations. I live in the north of Poland and whenever I visit the mountains I bring plenty of oscypek with me.

You should go to “Kasprowy Wierch” which is a cable car that takes you up 2000 metres to the peak of a mountain. You can take a bus from the train station that will take you to the cable car. It will say “Kuźnice” on it

Once I met a lady teacher in Mid Wales who made me realize that the Welsh people, reading the Polish text on the Welsh way, are brilliant at this. Only combos like sz, cz, rz, ch and our specific letters "with tails" might be a bit problematic. Anyway, I was so impressed when she presented this feature to me.

Great, Paczki - doughnuts come in so many flavours in Poland - for a good reason!
They keep You warm during the Winter. I would recommend Bialowieza forest to visit- north east part of Poland, it's just spectacular - the last primeval forest in Europe - we call it a Jungle actually...because it is a Northern Jungle where European Bisons, Wolves, Forest Horses live - yes exactly that! we do consider Horses in Poland almost like pets - they helped in so many battles to protect this country. We don't eat them like French - we actually buy old horses from France to let them live their last days.
The only problem is the situation on the border with Belarus with their crazy dictator and huge military presence of NATO - including British troops over there.

    Hi there,
Being in Zakopane it is a sin not to see Morskie Oko - The sea eye, a lake between mountains, very lovely place. Recommend You to try some dishes: placek po węgiersku ( potato pancakes with meat and mushrums ) and very tradicional polishe soups: barszcz and żurek. In 14 and the beginning of 15 century there wasn't enough people in Poland to run the country. In large area of Eastern Poland, Poland outsourced Hungarian administration system. This is haw it made its way from Poland to Hungary.

Well, well, two street food fans... good... you were in good place then LOL, the taste of Polish food will stay with you for a long time, as they have still not commercialized so far that it would take their original recipes, and ideas away as we have in the lands of chain stores. Enjoy while you are there, and look also for their LOCAL TRADITIONAL food, not just street food. You will love it. Ask for things every Pole knows only too well, like schabowy, pierogi z miesem, kapusta kiszona, barszcz czerwony, and deserts like sękacz, rurki z kremem, pączki, as well as what locals would advise you to try, as EVERY region over there has its own specialties they are famous of... so again, enjoy, tell others, and... come again!

The first thing you ate was of Hungarian origine :) The first time I ever saw these tube-shaped donuts they still had their Hungarian name, Kürtöskolács, or something of the kind, I'm not good at Hungarian ;) I love them.

On the other hand, it's not so simple. The last part of the Hungarian name is Slavic, "kołacz" or "kolač", which used to be a sort of wedding cake. So maybe it made a long way around until it took this shape :) Cake recipes cross all borders.

Despite wars and uprisings, Poland 🇵🇱 never experienced hunger, unlike England experienced 495 times hunger in 500 years of their history. Polish people are very hard working and industrious people, very hospitable too where food plays a huge part in their lives (traditional food for certain holidays and parties)
