My absolute favorite version of this song, the emotions, Micks piercing guitar riff from 3:32 on. Getting real intense with the backing instruments changing up 4:06 following the highly emotional screams towards the end, it's so much better than on the album.

This song was recommended by an ex-friend to me, at first I listened to it and I didn't think it was great, I thought it was cool but I thought "it's not my type", and nowadays it's my favorite song by the band. Originally back when Vol 3 The Subliminal Verses first came out, I bought the album because I wanted to jam out Before I Forget in my car when I first got my permit. I saw the music video for Before I Forget but when I sat to jam throught the entire album on my first listen, Vermilion really stuck out to me. Its truly an amazing song
