Another great video on gilding flakes, I’ve so enjoyed your videos and precise instructions. It’s a pleasure to open up my iPad and see a new video from you. Have a beautiful day❣️
I bought some gilding flakes from indigo blu, because I just can’t find my others…(craft room move).. I have Chariots of fire and copper kettle and they are lush……."so thanks Christine ❤…..for my 20% off as well🎉
Hi. That was very helpful, thanks. I'm rather glad it's not me sitting with a half dozen beautiful butterflies in front of me as I'd be so spoiled for choice that I'd likely feel a little overwhelmed and not know where to start! Thank you for sharing another great video full of inspiration and tips.
Thank you so much Christine I really really enjoyed watching you playing with these gorgeous butterflies 🦋, and I’d really love ❤️ to know where you got that butterfly 🦋 die from? They’re really really stunning too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
So beautiful. Of course it depends on the project but I love the results of gilding burnished first then the powder. Such a soft, well blended look. Thank you for sharing.
I think a perfect a pearls would be great although i'm not sure that the colours that I have in them are quite as vibrant, but I would certainly have a go!
Love love your tutorials! I don’t remember which video, but in one you lamented you couldn’t get Bearly Arts glue in the U.K. I did a little research, and Amazon U.K. does indeed carry it, but at a prohibitive cost at over 100£. Now, Amazon USA, of course, carries it at about $6, with a huge difference in cost. Why not have one of us send it to you from our side of the pond? It is considered among the best glues around. Let us, or me, know. Many thanks, Danielle
Thanks for showing these variations of this technique. I enjoy using Chrystal Glaze or Glossy Accents to mimic stained glass. It's a simple addition for such stunning results. Now if I could just be patient enough to let it dry properly. You make my Mondays when I see you've a new video up.
I am going today to buy gilding flakes - I’ve been resisting but you keep coming up with all these beautiful cards. I can’t resist any longer. 😂 Thank you Christine - your videos are very informative and creative. I always get excited to see that you’ve posted a new one. 😊
What wonderful techniques. They are both beautiful but I think the second one is my favourite, where you burnished the flakes first. Thank you for another great project. Crafty Hugs - Dawn 🌅
Very pretty technique ❤ Love this butterfly! I can see the difference between the techniques. Thanks for sharing Could you please let me know the information about the butterfly die?
Chris, what is the difference between shimmer powder, glamour dust and mica powder??? Your videos are all so awesome and I get excited when I see you have posted a new one!! ❤
Shimmer powder is a pigment powder mixed with some mica. Mica powder is the pearlescent or shimmery element. Glamour Dust is a fine twinkle glitter! Any help?
I think lots of things would work, people have said that Scrub it, rub it work as well as dish sponges...even a piece of scrunched up paper towel would probably do the trick
It’s not a fan but just some reaction between my phone and the daylight lamp. I didn’t realise it was happening but when I zoom in, it has happened before… I’m really sorry and can totally sympathise, but not being very techy I don’t know why it happens.
@@Chrissieannie maybe it’s close to microphone? It’s like putting wooden lolly sticks or cotton wool in my mouth…your new ones make a noise but not the same….lol
I'm not a teacher but because you are; could you please tell the world to stop using at at the end of their sentences? Makes me feel 🤪 crazy! Where are you? This is the whole question. Nothing more. Gorgeous results btw.
Lots of things in people's speech drive me crazy too... I think I should have been in the grammar police! I'm glad you like my videos. I live on the south coast of England, UK. 🇬🇧
@@Chrissieannie Ha! I've been accused of that over the years! Had a fabulous teacher in 6th grade (11/12 years old) who concentrated on teaching grammar a fun way for a whole year! Everything I know about grammar I learned in that one year... don't even know if kids are being taught that much any more.
Relating! My pet annoyance in the craft world is the constant "stamp down" on the cardstock (or whatever. The word down is superfluous....just "stamp on the cardstock" is correct! If you're not stamping "down" are you stamping "up"? LOL! Silly, I know...but it does bug me.
I absolutely love your videos! Thank you for sharing all you tips and how-tos.
It’s my pleasure! 😊❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much you too! ❤️❤️❤️
Very pretty butterflies, thank you for some lovely ideas x
My pleasure! ❤️
They're all lovely but the stained glass one is my favorite.
It's interesting how a little tweak can effect such a big difference! 😊
I agree, my favourite is the lilac and gold
I love this technique...beautiful and subtle.
Thanks do much 🦋🦋🦋
Beautiful! Need to give these a go!
It's fun! 🦋🦋🦋

Good morning Christine. Thank you for your clear demonstration...much appreciated.

All beautiful thank you for showing us the different ways

Love this series of gilding with all the different techniques😊. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Thanks do much 🦋🦋🦋
Just enjoyed this video Chris, thank you for your various ideas for using this technique. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks Amanda 💛💛💛
The linen texture of your cardstock is a subtle but lovely addition. I'm waiting for my gilding flakes to arrive...very exciting.
Have fun when your flakes arrive! 💛💛💛

I got it from Crafts 4 less , but having mentioned it on Facebook... They sold out! It's by Poppy Stamps!
I like the way you did the blue one, or it just that blue is my favourite colour, hmmm. Jenny
It's interesting how the effect differs isn't it! 🦋🦋🦋
Very Beautiful Card!Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you 🦋🦋🦋
Love this technique Christine - thank you 💛
Thank Yog 🦋🦋🦋
Lovely technique. Amazing how different each butterfly looks with essentially the same process. Thanks for sharing❤
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
awesome tips and techniques Chrissie, but you are costing me a fortune lol.
Oh dear! 😕
@@Chrissieannie all good though lol

It’s interesting how a little change in technique can make such a difference in the outcome! 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am partial to the green butterfly. You mentioned Perfect Pearls. Would this work as well?

Need to get some gilding flakes. Will perfect pearls will work?
I would definitely think so, but just try it!

Thanks Mechelle, I was wondering about using feathers on my Gelli Plate! 🤔
@@Chrissieannie - I was thinking about that too but haven’t tried it. The feathers are so pretty, I’m afraid the paint would ruin them.
Well I found some pigeon feathers in the garden, I thought I may use those! 🪶🪶🪶
@@Chrissieannie - that’s a great idea! Can’t wait to see what you come up with. 🥰

What can you use to burnish if you don’t have your tool.
I think lots of things would work, people have said that Scrub it, rub it work as well as dish sponges...even a piece of scrunched up paper towel would probably do the trick
I was taught years ago to use a stencil brush...they have bristles and do the job nicely.
@@mpbailey18 thank you.
I used the little brush you see in my videos (before I heard about a scoochie), which I love for tamping down the flakes.
Great content. The shadow of the fan made it difficult for me to watch all the way
